If there IS a major meltdown, if the wind is still prevailing from the west, most of the radiation will be sent out into the ocean and will only affect that current evacuation zone as far as environmental contamination, right? (well I guess within reason, as the winds can blow radiation anywhere)
Though if the winds shift and blow down to the south, its going to send the crap down to Tokyo and places farther south and cause some major shit. If I understand it right.
They keep saying "It's not a big deal", but I assume its a big fucking deal if the radiation is blown towards the south. Though were still not looking at as much radiation as Chernobyl, but it's still an amount that's harmful.
All the conflicting stories are getting me confused. People are scared of a meltdown, and some people don't seem concerned even if it does happen :/
