As a theater junkie, and a long time fan of Rent, I've been anticipating the movie for a long time. The Phantom movie disappointed me in the stage to screen transition - however, Rent, shockingly enough, did not. I may post my huge rant from LJ about it here eventually, but the bottom line is while I still prefer and love the play, I think the movie did an excellent job portraying the main points, and breathing a different kind of life into many of the numbers.
Has anyone else caught it yet?
