I only liked the parts of that arc featuring Jidanbou and Yamamoto, the rest I didn't give a rats ass about.
Felch Discussion Part 4

Great to see even more people unraveling the sheer stupidity of Bleachs' overall premise, even if it is old news.
A few personal favourites of mine:-
Shinigami looks down on humans, or refer to them as a seperate species. Yet shinigami are made from perfectly ordinary dead humans, who still remember they were humans.
-
Rukia was declared to be incredibly old andout of touch with the modern world, and indeed we are told that she was seperated from her sister when she died in the brutal times of feudal Japan. Sister goes ahead to soul society, marries Byakuya, and waits for her sister to die and arrive in SS.
Turn back the pendulum shows that 100 years ago, Byakuya WAS STILL A KID. -
Some shinigami live for CENTURIES and remain pathetically weak and bankai-less
-
the ONLY reason hollows exist is that shinigami are fucking lazy and fail to do their job on time.
And that's just the basic premise. Theres also Byakuya expecting Rukia to become a seated officer and later being said to prevent her from that in order to protect her. Nell being gone for "years" after searching for Vastro lordes with Nnoitra (and the fact that they themselves were vastro lordes). Aaroniero gaining strenght by eating hollow corpses, which does not exist.
And so on. -

Orihimes brother, Shrieker and Parakeet boy didn't, and Rukias sister obviously didn't either.
-
But wait I heard someone saying this in the thread.
Because …..doesn't that get sort of awkward. I mean how can those people be that dumb and stil have lived in the real world.
-
Death Laws in Bleach are like the Vasto Lordes issue. Kubo's given like 5 different answers, and they all contradict each other.

I can't see where anyone could get that idea. It seemed clear from the start that people remembered:

Rukia and her sister (Hisana) died at the same time. Hisana abandoned her because she couldn't keep them both save (what a b*tch).
That was 50 years ago and that means Byakuya just aged pretty fast. And you know, the souls can come from every periode, so the time of death doesn't matter. - Rukia was declared to be incredibly old andout of touch with the modern world, and indeed we are told that she was seperated from her sister when she died in the brutal times of feudal Japan. So they have the knowledge of their lives amongst ordinary people on earth and yet knowing they will get reincarnated there , they look down on humans and actualy treat most people in SS as shit for no aparent reason ?

Funny story, at the end when Bleach stopped being readable and right at the beginning when it started being unreadable(the setting up for the Soul Society arc) I was super excited about seeing Soul Society, expecting Kubo to deliver interesting and creative landscapes(like Oda does) and I think it was stated in maybe like chapter oneish by Rukia that Soul Society was this majestic beautiful place where you could live in harmony''…..then when it was actaully revealed; it was a dirt shithole full of slacks and slums. Kubo shot himself in the foot with that bullshit along with my excitement.
Garbage.

Holy fucking shit. This place makes purgatory seem nice.
And while it fixed the plothole of Rukias age compared to the living world, the wonky as all hell soul-aging still remain. Compare byakuya and Rukias aging in the last 100 years with any of the senior captains and vizards. For some people 100 years age you around 20 years, others not at all.

Yep! They also marry filthy slum people while their relatives continue to suffer.

Speaking of that, did the parakeet kid ever actually find his mother? :ninja:

Do you really need to ask?
…....no.

I think most Shinigami were probably Hitler while alive,it solves everything.
Also remember the Shiba family ?
Nice to see they were completely erased from the story by now !
-
huh, isn't it ironic the protagonist is a japanese kid that's almost pure ginger(Ichigo "Ian Keller" Kurosaki). I'm waiting for a arc where him and Renji start killing off yakuza, while reciting catholic prayer….scratch that then i might start liking bleach.:ninja:
Edit: Is that ironic, or convenient?
I was just saying it should be called starburst because of the starburst commercials. You know the tons of them about how startburst is a contradiction.
-
Logic and reasoning? In my Bleach thread?

Yamamoto I can get.
But…..Jidanbo? shrugs
-
New chapter is out… best of luck...
-
Isn't Ichigo's symbol, and the Bankai word in japanese a manji? why did they call it a svatika?
-
Did Kubo really write Swastika Break in his own manga? This isn't a parody, right? This really happened? I mean… whenever some retard points out Ichigo's sword has a swastika on it, we all correct them that it's a manji.
But this time...
Kubo...
I don't even
-
Swastika Break? I literally burst out laughing.
Well, at least things were a little different from the usual mindless sword-swinging. This new/temporary weapon is going to be hell for Viz if they ever get this far.
-
LMAO!!! He tried to throw a Rasenshurinken. XD
The rest of the chapter was alright. The ending should lead to an interesting predicament.
Edit: Holy crap, I didn't even notice the Swatsika thing… sigh
-
Wow Nazis and Naruto in the same chapter Kubo you truly are something else.
-
All things considered, the chapter could have been worse. The concept of just using the flange of the sword is kinda neat.
Things I hope for: Ichigo will get unique new Fullbring powers to supplement the return of his shinigami powers, and his evolution will go down a different path; even Zangetsu will be significantly altered. His training will also be complicated by his awakening inner hollow. PLEASE MAKE ICHIGO INTERESTING KUBO.
Disappointment I expect: He will retrieve exactly the same form as before, with exactly the same sword.Thing I hope for: Orihime will hold her own.
Disappointment I expect: Orihime will once again be nothing but kidnap/peril fodder with a subplot of undermining the villain in secret that goes all of nowhere. -
Well that wasn't as bad as I was expecting.
-
I guess Inoue will just accept that request with a smile on her face. XD
-
If anyone asked me if I minded dieing, I'd probably laugh.
-
Who wants to guess what retarded group this guy is from? My money is on the child of a spirit that was pregnant when it turned into a hollow.
-
It'll be a group of evil fullbringers led by an ex-substitute shinigami. This arc has done so much blatant ripping off of the chapter black saga of YYH, so I don't see why it'd stop now
-
-
Now i understand why Soul Society looks like a nazi headquarter.
-
wait wait
"Apologies for a hidden (faded) inappropriate message on one of the Bleach pages. It slipped through our QC, the staffer will be dealt with."anybody catch that? it sounds way more interesting than the chapter this week..
-
I honestly enjoyed Naruto this week.Good Job Kubo!

It was nothing special.
Just a bit of shennannigans within the staff.
@Xi; You win the internet.
-

oh, lame..i'll just content myself with the (well deserved) comparisons to naruto then
-
What was the inappropriate message?! It's bothering me so much I can't blink! Agh!!
-
The message was in short, a message from one of the scanlation staff to one of the forum mods.
It was offensive, but that's basically it.
-
That's…incredibly boring...and disappointing...
-
I told you it was nothing.
AP always looks too far into things. -_-
-
What was so insulting about it? I missed it.
-
Dammit, this cliff hanger annoys me, cause I know that even if this new guy was a mute and blind lemming, still Orihime would get her ass kicked despite controlling time and space or whatever.
I also like that while Ichigo is getting stronger to protect his friends, his friends are currently being attacked. It's a shame, maybe if he liked, ever talked to them or hung out with them for more then a few pages at a time he could've done something.
-
The Jew in me smiled at the swastika reference.
Honestly, I think Kubo called it a swastika because making it THAT obvious may spark controversy. Kubo probably subcribes to the theory 'no press is bad press'. I'm sure some parent will get mad. Kids may be told not to watch it, and remember when mommy said not to watch South Park? You did it anyway. Kubo is trying to be 'that guy' who does something drastic so you will pay attention to him.
Troll on you magnificent troll, you.

At first I thought this was about the fucking giant SWASTIKA right there in the chapter being clearly called a swastika instead of a manji, but no, Kubo did that all by himself.

What's funny is that in localizations, it's going to be called a Manji.
But there is such a thing as too much bad press. One video game called Rule of Rose purposely let out a bunch of controversy in a magazine that got so out of hand it was forbidden localizations in certain countries.
-
Where does it actually flatout say swastika in the chapter? There's certainly no denying what that is, but I don't actually see it said anywhere.

Uh…it's the friggin' title of the chapter.
-
Oh, wow. How the hell did I miss that?!
Probably because I read through Bleach so quick, I flipped that page without looking at it at all.
Definitely a bold move on Kubo's part. His balls must be the size of bowling balls.
-
I don't see the problem with a Manji considering its been the handle of his sword from Bankai's Day 1.
Other than that, it's apparent Kubo has become desperate or insane. He's either forgotten which manga he draws and is now doing Naruto or so desperate he's willing to blatantly plagiarize to keep his series going.
-
So did we ever see Ichigo touch his badge after fighting? Even a single time? Also, why would he do that?
And did he just kill the yakuza guy with his new ranged attack made of black energy, totally unlike getsuga tenshou because this is shaped like a wheel?
