@The:
3 Fingers on a Rex?! Blasphemy! What's next, a smart Stegosaurus?
Seriously, I'm positive that I'll see this movie, if only for the legendary "breakout in NY" scene, but in CGI!
I've never seen the original though, and for those of you who have: Is it really such a masterpiece that it can still satisfy the urban youngsters lust for entertainment? I mean, Leonard Maltin and his collegues always give it rave reviews, but I have a feeling I'd be entertaining myself laughing at the ancient movie-making features, rather than watching the movie…
The T-Rex is named Vastatosaurus rex, with the length of 24 m (80 feet). But for the general audience, it hardly matters.. AH WHAT THE HECK IT's REX AND HE'S BACK IN CG! (JP3, I hate you!)
I didn't watch the original, but I did watch the 1970 remake. I was a toddler back then, and was watching it half asleep.
The original King Kong got released in DVD not so long ago, with plenty of bonus features. Maybe should watch just for the heck of it..
