Yeah but I'm pretty sure that Mizu guy had one of the swords, and Suigetsu definitely nicked Zabuza's sword, thus becoming the replacement swordsman. Unless he just liked collecting swords, since he showed interest in Kisame's Samehada also.

Suigetsu wants all seven swords, I believe. I don't think every one was succeeded though.
-
Basically a pokemon trainer but with swords. Even if he got all 7 dragonballs er I mean swords lol he wouldn't stand a chance against Kabutomaru's pokedex aka zombie ninja.
-
Besides, the only 7 sword user is Killer B and he only manages because the swords are short, 1 cm longer and he'd cut his own arm off.
Maybee in octobull form..

It all makes sense now. i was doing some thinking on why naruto has so many power ups.
i figured kishi wanted naruto to have a vast arsenal to be prepared for any type of situation. at first i was wondering why naruto learns sage mode but right after learns to be a yellow lightbulb NT Charkra Mode, but according to my theory his sage mode is mainly for tai-jutsu fighting this is because preserving chakra is vital in that mode so he will be less likely to use a lot of jutsus in contrast with NT chakra mode where he has no limits in his chakra if he masters it or rather when he masters it so he will be fighting nin-jutsu style.
-
^^^ Xddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd. No.
-
That's a good theory, but if Kishi is really following that train of logic, he's always intended to bite his own narrative/themes by never giving the Nine Tails a chance to redeem itself. It'll be exploited by Naruto without heed, Naruto will never befriend the fox like Bee had the ox, since instead of bothering to try and sway the fox he could just switch to Sage Mode or something.
-
^^^ Xddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd. No.
could there be anyother reason i mean kishis not that dumb to just make powerups for F**K of it
-
Naruto has a vast arsenal? Rasengan, another rasengan, other rasengan, kage bunshin, rasengan with kyuubi, rasengan with sage.
-

naruto needs to die trying tp make bff with the fox. he will end up doing something dumb and the fox takes up nearly all his chakra. naruto has never been in a critical situation has he? what type of main character is he i mean luffy has almost died on several occasions and has been in critical conditions before.
-
He was critical when he fought Kabuto during the Sannin Arc.
kage bunshin
Admittedly, most non-Sharigan shinobi don't have a ton of versatility with their techniques, but the bushins more than compensate for that. Even though Rasengan has eclipsed Kage Bushin as Naruto's signature technique he's won more battles using the bushins and has relied on it in almost every fight. We see hints of the teamwork that should have been between Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke in how Naruto works with his bushins.
-
I agree that Kage Bunshin and Rasengan can be effective, but vast?

Not to be annoying or anything, but why are we talking about Suigetsu obtaining all Mist Swords? Are we to believe Kishi would spend time on a character that really has no purpose anymore just to be given more weapons? And for what? I mean seriously. What purpose do both Suigetsu and Juugo hold? Sasuke used them for revenge, and now he could give a shit. If Kishi just forgot about them, I wouldn't mind. He's never given me any reason to want to know more about him, or his past, or what he'll do in the future. He's forgotten so many others as well. And I would just absolutely hate another "compatibility" battle.
razet93, welcome. Time for you to convince your friend otherwise.
Also, does anyone wonder how the Naruto industry and Kishi as well allow continuously for Sasuke to be shown with a sword fighting/clashing with idiot Naruto with just a kunai/knife. How does that work?

lol me too, that would have been hilarious
we should discuss what role rock lee will play in this war, I say him and raikage beat the shit out of all the zombies to the point where they'd rather die than fight break the chains kabuto holds on them and run away, then sasuke comes out and raikage and lee do a double lariat attack and win the war, madara moves over to the bleach universe and becomes aizen, naruto has a heart attack after he hears sasuke died and rock lee and hinata get maried and throw sakuras decapitated head instead of a bouquet at there wedding, anko catches it and becomes a wife to both raikage and killer bee because she couldn't chose between the two and the day ends with everyone happy….. or dead depending on if we like them

Did my post just get deleted?
Anyway does anyone know the release dates for the anime & manga?

Oh, yeah, your ending is just fucking gold.
Only adding one thing: Lee and Raikage should destroy all the zombies in a most bloody, violent way possible. -

Man, that is awesome…..if only you were the author of
NarutoRock Lee choperman…. -
A total zombie invasion… Now that would be fun to watch.

Another shitty episode of filler.
I want to slap the bastard that invented filler, or perhaps just the one for implementing it into the naruto anime.
-
You'd think Naruto would be well suited for filler too.
-
Yep, I've heard that Shippuden's filler has recently abandoned arcs and gone back to one-shot Villain of the Week-style stuff, just like Part 1's infamous fillers. And that they're flashbacks to Part 1 to further rub salt in the wound.
I'm still curious as to why they thought it would be a good idea to air filler for two years straight, because that's a good way to get your show canceled.
-

At the time they started the filler, they were like, a single week behind the manga. (I guess about 4 if you count publishing time.) Naruto fought Sasuke in the manga, and then almost immediately did it in the anime. They NEEDED a larger buffer.
And well, a time skip is pretty much the perfect place to drop in a lot of filler content because… there's a gap there. Better between arcs than in the middle of one.
And with Naruto at least the idea of the filler is great... focus on the secondary characters. The problem is of course, shitty execution.
-
Naruto's anime canceled? I wouldn't count with that. I used to watch the anime, but what the history had that disappointed me got together with the bad fillers, so I stopped watching animes.

They were that close even with preexisting filler? If that was the case, it probably would have been better to just go on hiatus for a while like Gintama's doing after they wrapped that arc up and finished Part 1, but I guess there's no money to be made that way.

Hiatus? On that kind of cash cow? Never.
I guess they hadn't counted on the Sasuke retrieval arc being so long? But thats how I remember it anyway, I caught up to the manga, and then the anime got there almost right after that. There might have been a slightly longer gap than that, but thats how I remember it.
Also, didn't the manga itself go on like, a 6 month hiatus after part 1 ended?

SMUDGES BIG GRIPE!!
What really pisses me off to no end, is the fact that with all the spare time they had they didn't bother to cover one….not bloody one character foreshadowed or later revealed in the current war.
They could have done parts about the seven swordsman, previous kages, former jinchuuriki, various s rank villains, other ataksuki members etc.... but instead they dedicated episodes to rock lee fighting kangaroos and naruto fighting god damn ninja cats!!!
Seriously now I want to find the utter retard responsible for this shift in direction and eviscerate him, wear the body parts as a necklace and send the video of me doing it to kishi as a reminder why he shouldn't rape the fanbase.
Just think about all the secondary characters that could have been covered, the various technique progression and training sequences between each arc . And lets not forget the million and one directions possible with the other nations which could be tied into the current politics between the kages at the summit.
This was kishi's big shiny moment to reward the fans with something decent, and he blew it! In fact blew it is a great understatement. What he really did was liquefy the worlds quantity of evil and massaged it into the paper cuts on a millions fans eyelids while jacking off to his monthly bank statement.

Sasuke retrieval arc? More like fucking saga. Actually no, it's not a saga.
It's pretty much it's own different story with the same characters in the exact same world. -

I'm a bit tired/sober right now, but to comment on that, it's very taxing to consistently write "good" material. I've been writing internet humour for a certain website for nearly a year now and it's exhausting to consistently come up with quality stuff, and is easier to put out lower quality things that don't appease a niche with higher expectations but are good enough to satisfy a large audience.
Those kinds of filler are popular because they're easy to write, animate and voice. While we crave intellectual or emotional stimulation from our entertainment such detail demands a great investment, which is generally beyond the capabilities of the anime staff and not worth the effort on Kishimoto's part. And frankly, when the demographic for the anime filler is little kids (for whom Naruto is their first exposure to stock scenarious and shounen stereotypes), not internet pirates from across the sea, we frankly can't complain. It's futile, mentally tiring, and I'm allergic to it.
Part of the reason I've moved into the visual novel niche is to get the fudge out of such demographics. Staying in such will drive you mad, like it has me. Heck, until I started Billy vs. SNAKEMAN I hadn't read Naruto in years, but like everything in that game, keeping up with anime/manga events gives me an edge. I'm actually impressed that I can still feel some semblance of mind here despite loathing latter-day Naruto to its crumbling core.
! Also, I could use BVS students, sign up from my sig today! /shameless advertising bump. :V

Hundreds of people are paid to do this and yet they are still manage to screw it up.
And what's this about being consistent? the only thing consistent is the utter shit they form into twenty minute episodes every week. I will not accept your theory on the burdens of consistency as its run by experienced people. At no point should the well of ideas be so dry that you have to resort to a ninja kangaroo.
Now I'd be willing to go along with the occasional bad/pointless episode, but to have months on end of garbage just enrages me. This isn't just a maturity or age thing either, its hated by all spectrum's of the fan-base.

Oh dear god, I just have to sig this.

And yet they still manage to fail miserably. God if only the random plots made an ounce of sense or tied in with the actual story in some shape or form.

I can understand the actual animation being average to piss-poor, but the plot I just don't get. Why risk an entire franchise by getting some brain-dead cabbage to manage the animes filler direction.
Its like japans answer to family guy.

Naruto staff: hey I've got a great idea, lets traumatise the younger fanbase with god awful stories, badly drawn animation and leave them feeling totally empty and put off the anime genre for years to come. That'll definitely sell them on the actual series when its released.
Conclussion
The fact is the secondary characters were built up with lots of back-stories and foreshadowing all the way until the end of the sasuke retrieval arc, and then dropped. Now over five hundred chapters later….500 chapters later and they have only just made a brief return to the pages again. A lot of people are pissed off with this massive absence but held back the anger with the hope of the anime resolving our issues. Sadly this isn't the case, and not a second of footage has been used in any way satisfying enough to resolve the poor character use situation during the last three months. -

There's only a small cabal of writers, most of the staff consist of animators who don't have creative imput into how the story is made. They probably can't even speak Japanese because most of the work is farmed to Korea.

Experience isn't talent. You could have 10+ years experience writing pulp fiction garbage and be completely unfit to direct something Shakespearean.
This isn't just a maturity or age thing either, its hated by all spectrum's of the fan-base.
Please look beyond your clique of friends on an internet forum and consider such horrible stuff is still entertaining school children in Japan, where Naruto's success actually matters.
Oh dear god, I just have to sig this.
Be my guest.
And yet they still manage to fail miserably.
Of course. But it's easy to whip up a plot like that, and none of the Japanese fans would know any better. Most little kids can't appreciate a good story and wouldn't notice any difference.
When I was younger, I didn't really percieve any quality difference between Pokemon, Digimon and Monster Rancher. All three were equally excellent in my young mind, but I know better now.
God if only the random plots made an ounce of sense or tied in with the actual story in some shape or form.I can understand the actual animation being average to piss-poor, but the plot I just don't get. Please show me this risk.
Please plase show me that filler is the cancer killing Naruto's ratings.
Please please PLEASE show me how English speaking fans halfway across the world have ANY impact on the Japanese Naruto media franchise.
And finally, please show me how Japan listening to the mob masses would be a better page turn for Naruto. Fan interference, a.k.a. demographic pandering, is the same kind of concedence that gave us toxic anime like K-ON! and the frothing, rabid canines that lap it up.
Kishimoto and Studio Pierrot are not commited to 'art'. They are not motivated to telling a good story for their own personal satisfaction or some kind of moral message they're trying to stress. They're doing it for money and money only. Any silver lining you could find in such a raincloud is entirely unintended.
Its like japans answer to family guy.
From henceforth comparing any animated series to FG shall be known as "Smudge's Law", in the same vein as "Godwin's Law".
I can't even respond to that because FG is bottom barrel awful, and I don't want to make Naruto look good by comparison.
