For some reason, I was expecting this… Hmm....
One Piece Mafia
-
-
The hell… okay who is good at detective?
-
Well, at least we now know pairs don't die together…
-
So, Harvady is kinda cleared…
lets see what everyone else has to say...
-
Well I don't know. How should we start off a day like this?
-
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Only one kill… and Dog monsters...I think we all know what we are dealing with
-
"How strange," Sky stated, looking at the mural featuring a painting of man and dog. "I've heard before that the people of this island worshipped dogs as a deity."
This reminds me of a story I read somewhere, something about that the dog is the messenger of the god of the dead, but also guard the doors of heaven.
people believed that they were the protectors of our homes and lives.
the worshipped them to be allowed into heaven after they died"Hmm," Kinalara pondered before happening upon a second mural, this time with men, but no dogs. Only strange, abstract monsters.
I have the feeling that it has something to do with the the monsters hunt down their prey, waiting a long time before striking, to increase any fear with the victim
"What could this mean?" Sky asked as she found a third mural, containing no dogs or men, just monsters. "These letters look like Poneglyphs. I can't make them out."
I have no idea what this means..
As the trio left the caves, a curious voice rang loudly, echoing through the cavernous walls. "The 67th hour approaches…"
It feels like someone is trying to scare us and waiting to strike.
could the 67th hour mean, that something wil happen, 67 hours from now?I'm glad that there didn't die any more people than the one we shot.
we only have no more secrets to solve -
This means we're dealing with a Wolf/Werewolf Mafia. Considering there have been no kills, either they work as good old fashioned "Poison-Based" Mafia or as a Cult.
Which only makes the need for No Lynch into Gun all the more important -
Wow, I just thought of something that's ingenious if we are dealing with a cult.
From now on, no one can trust anyone, not even their partners. Not even partners like Harvady's that say "He's blue"
I'm guessing that if someone is culted, that person will still be able to talk and pretend to be Townies to their partners
-
… that sucks... but I kinda guessed it would be something like that. We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucked...
-

No, that doesn't make sense. For example, when Habanroo was the cultist, and he culted the Mafia, they couldn't talk with each other anymore. I think it would be the same concept even with the partnered Townies, which makes me believe that we're not dealing with a Culting mafia, or else it'd be too easy for someone's partner to notice that they couldn't talk to them anymore, and then out them as mafia.
-
So, more mysteries okay and not much answers.
@Silent:
Well, at least we now know pairs don't die together…
What if he was protected ?
Anyway. One dead. Only.
Is that because of protections or the Mafia, simply don't have the ability to kill at will ?
Or is that because, Mafia don't kill, but spread their curse..? In that case, we might not be able to trust even our own partners (and TheMidnightRift said that now). Except if the curse can only touch broken pairs and solo players…? -
Seems like my statement about the curse somehow affecting this game seems to be true.
About the poneglyph reading is there anyone ingame having a character that is able to read the poneglyphs? Dr. Clover for example. Perhaps that person could have somehow a clue helping us towards the answer.
-

If we are dealing with a cult, and its 50%, Kitsune is not wussing out and making it like last game, he's going all out and making the culted people keep appearing as partners to the other partner.
Didn't you think it'd be weird to have so many partnerships here? Many of the paranoia is lost, which is why these type of games usually have serial killers and scum amongst teams.
Instead of Kitsune doing like usual and making you not be sure about the partners cause they can be Mafiosos or Serial Killers, he made the Mafia a cult able to cult partners.
It makes all the sense in the world, the game would be too easy if it was as simple as you being able to trust your partner at 100%
-
Also Kitsune has PKbaldy sent in his mayor vote last day?
-

He has an inactivity strike.
And is currently one of the folks who I'll be modkilling at 2.

Damn guess i got my usual luck, well guess i am on my own in this game.
-

But didn't we all get the same message containing who your partner and character is? then Kitsune would have to send the cult an extra pm to tell that person he is something else than what was writen in the original pm?
I think that very unlikely. -
What? No
Let's imagine you and me are Partners
Flaming-Spirit: You are Luffy
SGRaaize: You are ZoroSGRaaize - Yay, we're townies
Flaming-Spirit - :)Night one, I get culted by Nectar, the Wolf leader
SGRaaize - Yay, we're still townies
Flaming-Spirit - :)SGRaaize - Hahaha, Flaming-Spirit Luffy is my partner, don't worry about him, he'l just trust him.
Nectar - Cool, we cult Harvady Next?Flaming-Spirit Luffy - I think Nectar is scum
SGRaaize - Nah, dude, I can totally tell he's town, vote Bobart insteadMafia wins, SGRaaize is unveiled as Culted partner
Flaming-Spirit Luffy - What? D:
SGRaaize - MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH -
That's true, but there's no evidence that the mafia is actually a cult anyway. I have two theories. One is that Kitsune made something like the "Hidden Town Favored Team Actions (Little Patches)" that Kmo did in mafia 5.1, which could possibly make it so that the mafia couldn't kill on N1.
But I don't think that's likely. I think that one of the mafia has an ability so that if the mafia doesn't kill one night, they can kill two people the next.
-
And cult wouldn't need to get a PM with his role, when you are culted, you lose your role and get the single ability of being part of the cult. The culted person just needs to tell his cult partners what he was and who his partner is
-

Considering its "Dog Monsters", the other option is Poisoning Kill, which basically kills a target after it is killed one night.
I think its a Cult, be careful and trust no one -
I have one thing to say. And it isn't going to help anyone.
The night was too short.
-
I have one thing to say. And it isn't going to help anyone.
The night was too short.
Yeah, but I think my partner and I pretty much got things through. Then again, those with less active partners might be a bit disappointed that they didn't get more time to discuss with them.
-

Actually… that helped...

@Flaming-Spirit:

Oh, of course you'd get a PM saying you are now part of the cult, you think a cult doesn't exist just because of that?
-
Oh, of course you'd get a PM saying you are now part of the cult, you think a cult doesn't exist just because of that?
Then why did you say the complete oposite in your post on the previous page?
And cult wouldn't need to get a PM with his role, when you are culted, you lose your role and get the single ability of being part of the cult. The culted person just needs to tell his cult partners what he was and who his partner is
-
Thats a s~e~c~r~e~t~
Ok then… >.>
So yeah, I believe it was mentioned that we might talk about partners today. I'm just wondering if others feel we should reveal our partners. If others agree, I believe my partner and I are willing to reveal, if necessary.
-
No
I said that the Cult wouldn't get a PM of the role of the person they culted, but that the person that is culted gets PM'd that he's culted
-
-
Define necessary
Necessary as in helpful to the Town. If we just reveal blindly with no plan, we'll just get killed off.
-
So any ideas how many people are in this 'cult'? I think at least 5 people. Maybe less, considering there's not as much members as other Mafia games.
-
I can see 2 people at the moment, with just one wolf leader at the beginning. I wonder, though, if the Cult is the only threat to the Townies, then, if the leader is killed, the entire cult must be killed, right? Otherwise, its impossible for us to win this, more people will be added.
Maybe that's the point of having a Lynch and a Gun Kill, to make it far easier on us to kill the cult, killing twice per night while they can only cult once per night, but that seems a stretch, that would make the Cult too overpowered. This is interesting
-
We're revealing partners today?
Well, if my partner deems it necessary, then my partner will say so.
-
@SomebodyUDon'tKnow:

You mean the mafia? I kinda figured it would have an even number because of our buddy system.
-
Magicite Kefka: I did'nt get the chance to ask you yesterday about why you voted Mastello to be shot, so now I am :D
Now that I know partners don't die together I'm indifferent as to wheter or not you want to reveal them.
-
Why i voted Mastello?
To be honest, i just wanted the day to be over with, it was extremely confusing with all different theories based on almost no info that we had last day. I voted for Mastello to be gunned because the majority wanted that, and that's me telling the truth.
Take that how you may, but as the days get by we'll probably get some evidence to gun vote someone by.
-
Hmm..so we're thinking werewolf mafia, huh?
I'm not all that sure how they work, so I don't exactly know how to go in this…
And also, we're going with the idea that we can't trust our partners? That's unsettling...
Either way, I'm willing to reveal we're partners if you are. -
This means we're dealing with a Wolf/Werewolf Mafia. Considering there have been no kills, either they work as good old fashioned "Poison-Based" Mafia or as a Cult.
I'm sorry, but can someone explain all of this terminology to me? I have absolutely no idea what most of them mean.
-
Dayphase 2, huh? It actually seem quite long to me. I was expecting it to end faster since it was hinted that some/all pairs are missing abilities but I guess KI keep it like that because of the partners chat.
Anyway, as expected, Mastello proved to be townie so we should focus a little our attention on those who gun voted him just to get a target. The theory of the pair changing allegiance was brought up last dayphase too so why targeting Masty if by his death we won’t actually prove Harvady’s 100% allegiance with the town?
I’m not sure what to think about partners doubting eachother. The partnership was made for a reason. If you can’t trust anyone then how can we prove someone’s innocence? A cop, huh? Nah, he could also be culted. It is true the past mafia where we had a cult we also couldn’t trust anyone but back then everyone had some sort of ability. There were quite a few investigative ones. Right now I doubt there are more than 2-3 abilities for the town. I agree with Eli, the curse may affect only the broken pairs. Look at Kitsune’s (Insider) death in the beginning of the story. He was grieving after Trapped’s (Kitsune) death. Did KI put the story just like that? Maybe, maybe not but to me it looks like that and dayphase 2’s stories are quite important, not like in the past games. If the partners can be culted and still can talk with the other partner than we’re…like…sooooooo f*cked, to quote Kmo. :D
If partners can be culted and still talk to eachother, then we do need, and fast, the person who can read the Poneglyphs where our curse is probably written. I guess there’s no way to undo the curse but a way to prevent it or clues on discovering the cursed one(s). Can someone interpret what’s written on them?
In the first one, there’s the dog and the man. It may represent the town before the curse spreads since there’s no evidence of something unholy there. The dog is man’s best friend, right? He’s loyal and trustworthy. Could the man and the dog represent the pairs or just two different non-mafia sides?
In the 2nd one the dog is missing, the man stands and there are some abstract monsters around…The dog disappearing could mean one of the partners’s death while the abstract monster represents the madness that’s coming after the left one. Or changing (switching allegiance) if the dog didn’t disappear but start becoming the abstract monster…
In the 3rd one we only see monsters. I guess pretty much everyone got his allegiance switched. Either the madness or the converted “dog” converted everyone around.
What confuses me is that in the first Poneglyph there’s only a man and a dog and in the next ones there are many men and monsters.Meh, I’m most likely talking nonsense and what’s happening is a lot different but I’d really like to see other ideas about those Poneglyphs. Maybe it's not even a cult but works like a cult does.
PS. I’d laugh so hard if KI just put the story there to fill the post.
-
@Mr.:
I'm sorry, but can someone explain all of this terminology to me? I have absolutely no idea what most of them mean.
I will give it a go.
A 'cult' is the role you had in the last game. They recruit people into thier side.
'Poison Mafia' means mafia will poison thier target during the night and the target will die the next night.
I don't know what Wolfs mean. Should be the same thing as mafia though. So in other words even though nobody actually died last night it is possible somebody has been set-up to die for the next night.
Or maybe the kill was simply blocked either.I personally don't see the need for a posion mafia here. Maybe we just have a really good doctor:happy:
-
So poison mafia, and a cult/were/whatever? Do you think it'll be like last game where there were split mafias? But if that's the case, they would both have to have abilities to kill that take a night, as no one was killed last night…
-
Love the confession, Kefka. I bet you anything the majority of Town voted Mastello for that reason, too. It's quite a paradox, but we are pretty amazing. As for the analyzing of the KI-post, I'm going to skip it. Malice is clearly having fun, though.
Yes, Mastello was Town, and I believe everything Harvady stated was true, but only up until yesterday. At this point, I doubt anyone will believe anyone when it comes to claiming, as it could simply be the past life of some monster/cultist. So dunno about claiming anymore.
I guess no one's going to disagree with the newest SG theory 'bout werewolves. Not trusting anyone's usually the standard M.O., but now you can scratch any once-confirmed 'partner' one might have had as well. I, for one, love having my win-condition viciously swapped mid-way through a game. By all means.
Now, I'm going to vote someone with certainty, and I strongly encourage others to do the same. The basis for suspecting was minimal, some might say random. The results, however, were not. Better do it now while I still can.
Guess who it was. Lynch Vote: Sky
-
-
@Sky:
Necessary as in helpful to the Town. If we just reveal blindly with no plan, we'll just get killed off.
Why do you say that? Is your partner already under suspicion or something? This seems odd to just say without any real reason.
-
^^: Sorry, I meant Kina there instead of Malice.
