This new town vote exists solely as an assurance that someone will be removed from the game by the town. In the event that we have more than one strong suspect, we have a second way to push with the lynch.
@laserbeak:
actually, i think meta seems to be the only thing we've got on Bogart right now. while Wooden would argue that 5.1 was too short to be taken seriously, Bogart's posts there almost confirmed him as townie (or a good liar) from D1. right now he's reverting back to rather fluffy posts which we've seen from the last two games that he was mafia. let's not argue whether KI would make him mafia for the third big game in a row, because that's not even a good reason to not lynch / suspect anyone. and the way he dismissed Nectar's attack on him seemed vaguely like what he did in MafiaIII when he was Hancock - he posts something because he knows people are looking at him, but his post addresses nothing.
This is another great example of what I've been just accused of. You throw around the word fluffy like everyone is just going to agree with you. If you are mafia, then you just found a really easy reason to push a lynch. I've put up things that I wanted answered/addressed, and no one mentioned them.
When I post, it is to keep the mafia in check. The more suspicion on me, the better. It's the same thing that TMR does. He makes himself suspicious, knowing that the lynch won't ever come. At that point, the mafia decides that he's a big enough suspect to not kill him, and thus he lives on longer, perhaps to a point where analysis is based more on logic and less on intuition.
@Shuhan1288:
Anyway, my list has changed
1:Bogart
2:Harvady Alumnus
3:Metteminne
4:Mastello
The list is in order of my biggest suspects. I have also sent in my vote for Heart.
This is nice, as soon as I bother to post and offer my stance, I get pushed up the list. If you want to talk about fluff, look no further.
Defending yourself from baseless and illogical accusations does not make you guilty of anything. Spending the time to refute everyone who points their finger at you is the best way to run around in circles.
I've been trying to get the town to understand what to look for, and all the town has done is push the people who actually talk back. The fact that you put metteminne in that list is hilarious. It's like you're trying to disguise that fact that you only suspect the people who have bothered to post.
@Mastello:
Whatever others may say, one person still scares me more than any other: TheMidnightRift. True, he came up with the unofficial voting, but I think it may also be his plan to appear as townie to us. I also find it funny that he didn't respond to my earlier accusations in any way but instead just changed the subject again. In short, right now I can't find a stronger suspect here. If he's mafia, he's a huge threat to us, that's why I'm doing this.
In general, this game won't be won only by following certain persons whose attitude seems to be "Let's just lynch somebody and be done with it". You can and you must discuss and ask questions yourself.
I vote TheMidnightRift to be shot.
This is following along with the same reasoning as laserbeak and Shuhan. Your argument is no more than fear of a prominent player. As I've said, gathering suspicion is a good way to keep the mafia off of you. If the town is keen to be rid of you, the mafia will not bother. I personally don't suspect TMR.
(Telling people that their choice of suspect is wrong, is not something that we usually do. It is mostly a waste of time. This mayoral vote subverts that notion, as we know that a 'lynch' will happen regardless of dissention.)
========================
Elisabeth is being pushed as mayor and I have no objections there. I could, however, care less for the reasoning behind your decision. If she's targeting someone chosen by the town, it makes little difference as to who receives the mayor vote. The fact that your 'biased' against bias, is redundant.
