Actually it was symbolic of ejaculation.
Cuz that's what Naruto is about.
I 2nd this xD
But I liked the part with the other ppl fighting for a bit.
-
well I'm excited to see haku vs rock lee, two bomb characters fighting it out, I hope he has other fights also, I still want to see my rock lee vs nagato dream come true

I'm not seeing any similarities between Zero no Tsukaima and Naruto.
And while I agree ZnT was far superior to Naruto early on, it very quickly degraded into PUS in the second season+.
Unsurprisingly, you linked the first season OP.
Really? i havent seen the second or third season yet. is seasons 2 and 3 really that bad? cause from watching the first season its WAY better than naruto though i admit it doesnt take much to do that.

YOU ALREADY RESPONDED TO THAT POST ONCE BEFORE.
I know I read it, whatever happened to it, I don't care.

Oh sorry! I dident see the comment so I assumed i hadent replyed yet. sorry again sometimes I forget stuff easily.

So I don't know if this has been discussed in another thread or not, but I figured I may as well post it here. Here's Kishi's interview from Jump Festa.
! > Kishimoto answered a few questions during Naruto's panel at the Jump Festa. Unlike in previous years, the session was short and Kishimoto didn't reveal much.
Translation was done by takL at NF.
- Naruto's voice actor teased Kishi about his "Year of Kakash" comment at last year's Jump Festa.
- Kishi apologized and said Kakashi would play a much bigger role in 2011.
- Shikamaru and Choji(!) will play important and heroic parts in the war. (I guess the Fourth Division will get major spotlight.)
- Nothing on Naruto, Sasuke, or Sakura. Naruto's voice actor didn't even ask about him.
- Kishi explained the Kakashi part. He planned big things for him this year, but they will pass over to 2011.
- He has been planning a lot for the last year. (I guess he means the war.)
- Weird sequence. Naruto's voice actor says something about dreams coming true and Kishi that will be true with Choji. (Maybe there will be a better translation for this. Choji had dreams?)
I am sure the other characters will do something, since they are doing things now, but no one asked about them. Kishi seemed more interested in talking about Kakashi and Shikamaru. They most love their laid-back geniuses over there.
And if Kishi can make fans care about Choji, than I am declaring him a better mangaka than Oda
-
Kishi made me care about CHoji once.
Then he killed him in a great cinematic tragic but poetic death.
And then he survived.
He'll be hard pressed to pull that again.
-
Yeah cause making us care about Choji is a real high priority.
-
"Guys, I promise. This year it's really really REALLY gonna be the year of Kakashi! (and Shikamaru and Choji)."
-
But… Choji's mentor already died. How could he possibly have development now?
I guess Choji's father is going to die.
Or maybe Ino. She's on Shikimaru and Choji's team. They can both get development if she dies.
-
but instead of "skypiea" ..we get zabuza and haku..
is this good ?Sure!? Its better than beating the strongest techniques in the story with TNJ(talk no jutsu).
-
@RobbyBevard:

Yup. Because development means killing off people you love; hooray for Kishi.
-
It's pretty bad when one of the voice actors laughs at your screw-ups in such a place like that.
-

My money is on a complete rehash of Choji sacrificing himself to help/save Shikamaru.
In fact, I'd even bet that the enemy is that same Sound Four person that Choji killed in part 1.
The sad thing is that this scenario could easily happen.
-

So character development AND an annoying character dies?
Amazing! -
The chances for Kishimoto to make 2011 the year of Kakashi, Choji and Shikamaru is the same of Togashi coming back and finish Chimera Ant Arc. once and for all.
-
my ,on the other hand
thinks that choji and shikamaru fights kakuzu
Hidan and Asuma
like
(of course.Shikamaru VS Asuma)
(the only sound four that is a zombie is kimimaru A.K.A. Bone guy -
The chances for Kishimoto to make 2011 the year of Kakashi, Choji and Shikamaru is the same of Togashi coming back and finish Chimera Ant Arc. once and for all.
To be fair, it seemed like the chimera arc was damn close to finished where he left off. Everyone got in their fights, most of the generals were dead, and all the cards were played. It seemed within 10 chapters of resolution, which would probably be about his output for the year.
-
Not to mention the possibilty that Togashi could once again give it his all and leave us not with ten, but whole twenty chapters which makes the arc finale much more imminent.
Than again, he can just as easily take the whole 2011 off.
And what is this I hear about the new Year of Kakashi? Sounds not that good if you can recall the last time this happened. I guess, now Kakashi will lose in a much more pathetic way.
-
I'm guessing we get a few chapters of kakashi Vs his dad, a flash back then kakashi wraps it up with a talk no jutsu!
-
and he didn't mention Rock Lee!!!!!! if he doesn't give him good spot light this war….. hell will break lose, his whole ninja way is to prove you can be a great ninja using only taijutsu so what better way then to prove it in a war by fighting on equal footing with kage level zombie characters, lee better get at least two really good fights in... probably wishing for too much there
on second note, is that really all the ambush squad set up.... REALLY 0_o cause if that's the extent to what can change the whole flow of the battle then that's just pathetic, there better be some other good sneak attacks there
EDIT: @blackleg I'm guessing kakashi's dad can't be revived because he passed on with no regrets as we saw before kakashi was brought back to life... which would be utterly stupid seeing as how that would mean anyone and everyone who's ever been used by this technique had past problems that they didn't resolve so they couldn't pass on, which just seems ridiculous when you see the huge number of people he used here, and ones who should have passed on i.e haku, zabuza, chiyo etc.

Will Choji ever beat someone without having to lose 300lb's and turn into a moth?

You mean a butterfly . and really what was wrong with the transformation? it was actually pretty cool UNLIKE someone else I know "cough" "AIZEN" "cough".
-
Seriously someone thinks the Choji butterfly thing wasn't cool? I mean admittedly it may seem strange in shounen (would work easier in shojo) but it did work unlike Aizen.
-
You do realize that the entire thing was a metaphor for the low worm evolving into something better, right? The butterfly thing made perfect sense and totally fit.

Unlike Fail Aizen.
-
If the series ends without Kakashi's mask being taken off I'll be pissed.
…
I'll bet he looks like the troll-face guy under it.
-
Beneath Kakashi's mask is another mask.

No it was terrible retarded bad writing that was actually even worse writing considering the entire aspect of sacrifice was thrown away due to Choji's bullshit survival.
-
Hey guys! The guy named after a butterfly turned into a butterfly! Holy goddamn fucking hell that's amazing!

Green, black and blue

I'd rather Kishi concentrate on characters he hasn't really developed so far but I guess it's far too late for TenTen, Ino, and Shino. No one cares about them enough to see some desperate attempt to give them character beyond a face and a name, especially at this late stage. It would be seen as mostly a waste of time for most.
I like Kakashi and Shikamaru but didn't Shikamaru get major character development just an arc ago? His mentor dying and he took out an Akatsuki member (Hidan) singlehandedly.
As for Chouji and his transformation in Part 1 of Naruto, that was badass. I liked that he lived and for some reason I never thought it took away from his intended sacrifice. If anything I think it would have been stupid for Kishi to kill off one of his kid characters so early in the series, if ever.
-
Only imagine if Choji had died during the Sasuke-in-the-barrel arc. Who else could have taken his place and perform the acts of awesome that he did during the second part? None!
-
Is the manga over yet?
I want to read the ending in one fell swoop of awfulness.
-

I'm of the opinion that it's far too late to start character development of either the rookies or other shinobi we don't really know about. It would seem forced at this point, even if Kishi tried to do it legitimately.
I'd rather have Kishi just smooth out this train wreck as much as possible. He'd have to stop this crazy confusing conflict, which is supposedly a war?… What I mean here is; for all the world shinobi to be on guard and do basically nothing while, just the main characters get to fight. Or maybe they can be spectators for at least the last half of the war between the main characters. Then this manga can finally end. This is how I see it ->
- Have Naruto complete his bullshit training. Even though the results will be completely boring. No new techniques, just another form of a rasengan that can blow up a mountain. Anyways...
- Have Sasuke go revenge hunting.
- Naruto and Sasuke meet. Naruto wins. Sasuke lives.
- Madara decides to kill worn out Naruto and Sasuke.
- Naruto and Sasuke become allies for only a short time with other main characters.
-- Side Story: All of Akatsuki have been defeated. Oh, and Kabuto is actually a good person in disguise, because he admires Naruto. - Madara and Naruto die.
- Sasuke cries and the world understands peace.
- World decides to still prosecute Sasuke. Sasuke puts up an act that he'll be more powerful than Madara and promises one day to destroy the world, but in essence he'll be just trying to keep the peace in the world that Naruto created. Peace.
THE END.
-
Not enough homo.
-
Yea no blowjobs. You didn't mention ten ten which is accurate.
-

If by "an arc ago" you mean some 200-300 chapters and several arcs back, sure.
in Part 1 of Naruto, that was badass. I liked that he lived and for some reason I never thought it took away from his intended sacrifice. If anything I think it would have been stupid for Kishi to kill off one of his kid characters so early in the series, if ever.
Well beyond the fact Choji hasn't done ANYTHING since… it would demonstrate that the ninja world has risks, missions can be failed, sacrifices can be meaningless, and that anyone could die, all while giving Shikimaru development.
Neji would have served the same.
Instead it laid down the edict that anyone under 18 is immortal, which hasn't been contested since. Loses some of the drama and significance that way.
@Airflow:Is the manga over yet?

Its… probably... in the final arc. But that might mean another year or more yet. We all hope for just six months.
-
I liked Choji sacrificing himself for Shikamaru, because he was the first person who truly cared about him. Didn't like that that plot point came out of nowhere though. Or the suicide pill. Or the butterfly. Or the fact that he lived through it.
-
The pill and butterfly was ok. Though everyone should of died. Or at least one. did they really risk their lives?
-

Well, this one isn't 100% true. There's Nawaki, the two sound ninja Gaara killed, and the other two sound ninja that Orochimaru sacrificed to do Edo Tensei. Plus, Obito. But that's about it.
-
Wait, I thought Obito was starting a war or something.

Who? And did the sound ninja even have names? Or faces? Or backstories?
And Obito is currently running around as Madara.
