Holy shit! That last picture is of the clock from It's A Small World! They made the clock from It's A Small World into a disturbing boss battle!

Another reason for me to get this game.
YEAH!!!!!!! I am glad that I am getting this game! I already got the Ipod Comic (Which the small world Clock is in too)! That clock looks demented! Look at that smile!
It's so demented…I can't wait...
I'm not going to be able to play this or several others for a while though. Money isn't flowing into my wallet at the moment.
New Behind the scenes video just now:

I never did trust that ride. It always had a vibe of . . . . . brainwashing, to it.

Yeah, "Its a small world" is notorious for being retardedly campy, even by Disney standards.
Much to its image nowadays.
Sure there's the clock….but will there be a hidden Pinocchio?
Sure there's the clock….but will there be a hidden Pinocchio?
A giant, twisted Pinocchio made of metal and wood, chaseing you?

I'm guessing no, since Spector has stated multiple times how much of a retro Disney geek he is, and this recent addition would probably bunch his panties the way 'nakama' does to us nowadays.
Speaking of Supergeeking Spector:
@ocregister.com:
Players of the new Disney video game for the Nintendo Wii, “Epic Mickey,” will get to look inside Walt Disney’s famous apartment above the Disneyland firehouse at the Disneyland Resort.
“I figured it was the only way I would ever get a look inside Uncle Walt’s apartment,” said the game’s creative director, Warren Spector.
While at Disneyland recently to show reporters the locations that were the inspiration for scenes in the game, Disneyland officials surprised Spector and the reporters accompanying him by taking everyone inside for a quick tour.
Walt Disney often stayed in the apartment. Before his death in 1966, he had planned a Dream Suite, in New Orleans Square, where he would entertain family members, friends and other guests and oversee the park. The Dream Suite was completed in 2008 so selected park-goers could stay there.
Spector said that unlike the darker look that the rest of the game has, Disney’s apartment was treated differently, with special respect.
Orange County Register Photographer Rod Veal also went inside and took detailed shots of many of the fixtures and antiques still there, including the grilled-cheese-sandwich maker that Disney used.
The apartment is not available for viewing by most park visitors. The only way it may be toured by park guests is through the purchase of a week-long touring package offered by Adventures by Disney that includes a tour of Hollywood, said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman.

But doesn't the hidden Pinocchio in It's a Small World define retro Disney geek?

You can't deny how catchy that song is, though. Once you hear it it stays in your head for days.

As a homage to the classic Disney film? Yes.
As a detail that was added onto the ride in 2009 and as such was not tailor-made by the crafting hands of Walt Disney himself? No.
Don't get me wrong, this is all just what I'm piecing together going from what Spector has said in interviews. He seems to want to keep it "Classic Disneyland" instead of "Disneyland One: Caffeine Free Cool Blue".
What I'm really, REALLY looking forward to? A Mr. Toad's Wild Ride homage where you are chased by a train and then get sent to hell. If you ever rode that as a kid, then you KNOW that was Nightmare Fuel before it was called Nightmare Fuel.
That didn't really give me nightmares so much as it gave me disappointment. I mean seriously, the ride ended with me and my family IN HELL. In Disney World. What kind of ending is that? I wasn't in control of the damn car, Mr. Toad can go fuck himself.
(In retrospect, it was more than that Winne the Pooh ride they've replaced it with…)

Erm, but he's always been there hidden among the kids.
It's not from some redesign.
Or is that a Tokyo Disneyland-only thing?
And don't tell me Tokyo Disneyland isn't sweet. It's the only park to actually feature an attraction remotely related to The Black Cauldron.

sigged.

As far as I know, Pinocchio was added recently to the original Disneyland ride here in California along with 28 other Disney characters. Oh, and the New Guinea Room was transformed into a North America Room, while the New Guinea scene's figures, props, and set pieces were relocated to the South Seas Room. Feel free to express any jokes that come to mind from this development, probably involving cheeseburgers, John Wayne, baseball, steering wheels on the left, and Bandit Keith.
And don't tell me Tokyo Disneyland isn't sweet. It's the only park to actually feature an attraction remotely related to The Black Cauldron.
…. excuse eh WUH? The Black Caldron represented in a Disney park? Elaborate please, this is up there with (hypothetically) finding out about a Flynn's Arcade or a science emporium exibit hosted by Ludwig von Drake.
I was mostly intrigued by this because it's Warren Spector but the recent info about how the stages are based somewhat on the parks is actually getting me legitimately excited. they look great.

Okay, I've been to Tokyo Disneyland, and I totally didn't see that. Maybe I was distracted by the Christmas parade (which had us all in spastic laughter, don't ask) but where was it!?

The end of The Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour.

The villain of a tour that used to be in Cinderella's Castle was the Horned King. They got rid of it like a year before I actually visted Tokyo. Sucks too because they handed out real medals to the 'Hero of Courage' in the end and if there was a foreign male in the group, it was always him.
I know what I'm getting for Christmas this year.
Then I'm going to go out and buy this game as well (any release date?)
Looks at the picture Insider was talking about

Ooooohhhhh, okay. Well, we would have missed it anyway, since we didn't bother with the castle. The girls I was with were too obsessed with going on Space Mountain to notice anything else.
That, and we were also busy bitching over the Nightmare Before Christmas rehash of the Haunted Mansion.
Was just on TVTropes about this game (ALREADY?!)
Turns out that there's a comic for the game…somewhere, and it confirms that even the Clock Face hates that Small World song.
That explains soooooooo much.

Yeah, it's on the Digicomics that you can download on the Ipod touch/iphone/ipad. The clock appears in the first comic "Clock Cleaners." Got all the comics. All of them.
Raider, your avatar's awesome, where's it from?

If there's anything about Disney I love, its the parks and its history. Disney World is just … one of the most fascinating things to me. There's nothing I love more than Disney World, by extensions, I find Disney Land pretty neat too.
It basically just looks like a really fun game too, which tops it all off. So that just makes me all the more concerned about stealing my Wii back from my family. I want to play this the day it comes out.
Not vidya related, but:
So the game is already out in Netherlands, anyone from there can post his/her impressions?
Game info is slowly being leaked around the internet, so be extra super special careful not to spoil yourself if you're holding off on details until you buy the game.
However…
BtKKDjPJVHo
Soundtrack is always relevant.
I sang to that tune.
I sang to it in a very creepy, monotonous voice.
I will do so when I fight the boss if anyone is watching to see if I can freak them out.

4realz???
goes off to buy
picked up mine from work yesterday. Also got the chance to sample it for 10 mins as 'training'
The game is like sex. Sooooooo much stuff has been crammed in that any Disney fan will love it. Controls are so easy to pick up and play.
I very rarely say there's games that people MUST play. But this is one of them. It's the Okami of the year.
Of course this is after 10 mins of playing. Hopefully it'll keep like that.

I've beaten the game and loved it and how they add in so much stuff from Disney's past. Waring, the camera is a little shitty but isn't a big hassle.
Managed to do that "get the treasure & save the npc" thing Spector was talking about from the first level. Took me a few minutes to realise how the playtester did it.
Fairly decent game so far.
ey guys I just watched the cartoon you unlock by collecting the reels. The one with micky from 1933 about the mad docter. I noticed that the docter cut pluto's shadow maybe it was an inspiration to where oda thourght of morias df powers, that scene also looked very similar to how luffy lost his shadow.
Peter Pan mostly, I think. Though he may well have seen both.
Damn, GS, that's harsh..
Screw GS. Epic Mickey has been getting good scores all around. Like that makes any difference…does it?
Anyways, just got my copy and my COLLECTORS VINYL FIGURE OF MICKEY! So awesome.
Well, I checked Metacritic out of boredom.
78 average, which isn't bad at all, but isn't GREAT. Just like you said, good.
Damn, GS, that's harsh..
Got to be shitting me. At least IGN gave it a 8.0. I myself would give the game a 8.0 as I did enjoy the game and the levels which was massive throwbacks. I didn't see a problem with the fighting seeing as you didn't have to actually fight every enemy. The camera wasn't even that bad as in not a camera that can give you cheap deaths and *Imprecise controls"? I call BS
I can see where the less impressed reviews came from, though I've enjoyed the game myself.
Most annoying thing is you have to give the wiimote a decent tug to get the spin attack going. I know this is to differentiate from the pointer, but it did lead to quite a few occurences of getting hit.
the game also didnt live up to the hype from E3, I was a little dissapointed as I was wraped up in the game being really good but its really just a good but not great game otherwords a bit of a hype buster, and some times that can effect reviewers such as grand turismo 5 which in my opinion dserves much more than a 8.0 from gs

I dunno, I played the demo of it at Best Buy a few days back, and I didn't really have any issues with the spin attack. Its wasn't a whole lot different from the spins you do in Super Mario Galaxy though I will attest that controlling Mickey in general felt a little more slow and clunky that the aforementioned Nintendo game (but then that'd be like comparing apples and oranges).
To be honest I'm having no problems with this game. The problem is that everyone is comparing it with Galaxy 2. Which is just better. This is still a great game that most people should play at some time in their life. I do kinda feel like they coulda done a bit more with it though. Maybe if we get a second game we can have one that does all of Disney instead of just the really old stuff. I'm fairly certain the likes of the Black Cauldron, Adventures of Mr. Toad and a few others aren't really remembered. And I'm sure most people are trying to forget Atlantis and Home on the Range.
I haven't had any issues with the game either. I am loving it so far.
