If the Randy Moss Patriots/Vikings trade goes through. would this make a big effect with the patriots wins and the Vikings gameplay?
also..Big Ben comes back 10/17 according to ESPNs scroller bar during a college game..same goes for the trade news

If the Patriots end up actually trading Moss, I could definitely see them going after Vincent Jackson, and at this point in their careers, it might be a significant upgrade.
As for the Vikings, it would give them back the legitimate deep threat they've been missing with Sidney Rice out. Would be interesting to see how it worked out.

Patriots win less and struggle on offense more.
Vikings become a more fierce attack, especially once Rice is back.
Also, Harvin and Shiancoe's fantasy value drops significantly, which will hurt me…
I could also see AP getting the ball less.
What the hell is Belicheck thinking!?!? Giving Moss away for a 3rd round pick..WTF
Then again the Pats always do this, they take people on who are not out of their prime and get rid of them right before they are, say what you want about him but Bill is one of the greatest coaches of all time, so I am trusting him on this one
I doubt Moss will go off, Farve is definitely no Tom Brady, at least not anymore (personally I don't think he was ever as good as Manning or Brady) but Moss is still a legitimate deep threat and is therefore yet another excuse for Farve to throw it into triple coverage.
I stand by my thoughts that Patriots are going to attempt to use their two third round picks to make a play for Vincent Jackson.
With that being said, Week Five Picks! 8-6 last week, to take the overall up to 33-29.

Chicago @ Carolina
Tampa Bay @ Cincinnati
Atlanta @ Cleveland

Minnesota @ New York Jets
Cheifs are going to be killed by the Colts this weekend.
I just want the Eagles or the Buccaneers to win
Kansas City's doing pretty good.
You know, you'd figure that after 3 years like this I'd be used to it, but I'm not.
FOUR STRAIGHT SEASONS AT 2-3 SAN DIEGO?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
And the worst part is that we lost to the lowly Raiders! At least we beat them last year!
I have been a staunch defender of Norv Turner for every season he's been with the Bolts, but I can't defend him any more. This year was supposed to be different. The Chargers had one of the easiest schedules in the NFL, and yet, every season Turner has been our head coach we have started 2-3. Somehow the Bolts always manage to come back and win the AFCW, but I don't think they can this year. My faith in them has been broken by losing to the Raiders (granted the game was bullshit and had some of the worst officiating I have ever seen) and I think the Chiefs are going to take it this year.
I have never been so frustrated or disappointed with the Chargers, but I'm sick of putting up with this crap every year. How are they ever going to get a Lombardi if they can't get their crap together in the regular season?
Chargers: 2-3; 2-0 at home; 0-3 on the road; 0-2 in the AFCW
you might say this season is

Here is the funny thing about the NFL…
All you hear about when Dallas and when the Chargers lose is there "talent".."How can such a talented team lose" "Its the simple mistakes that kill them, they are still the most talented in the league" and they are. But since when does having an overwhelming load of "talent" make you successful in the NFL.
You look at the teams that have more or less consistently dominated the last decade in the NFL, the Patriots, the Colts, the Steelers. Do these teams really have a surpluss of talent? New England has one superstar and that's Brady, everyone else is just put in a position that the team gets the most out of them. Its what Belicheck is so good at, finding average players and making them very, very good or even sometimes great. Look at Welker, he is a decent WR in his own right but in that system and catching balls from Tom Brady has made him into one of the best Wide Outs in the league. Look at last week were a guy named Patrick Chung scored 21 points seemingly by himself. Can you name a WR on any of there Superbowl winning teams? No, because they weren't any great "talent" they just got the job done....
The Colts are very similiar. Look at that receiving core, do you really think that Garcon and Gonzalez would be that good anywhere else? When Marvin Harrison left everyone was spouting doom and gloom but Reggie Wayne came in and stepped up and became even better than Harrison was. Why? Because Manning and the Colts know how to use the players they have and make them look like superstars.
The Steelers are made up of position players..that D has been so good for so long because they draft guys who may not be "talented" but they know how to hit. Is it any surprise that the offense still went 3-1 without Big Ben? They put the QBs in the position to maybe not be explosive but good enough to win games
Now Rivers and Romo are no Brady and Manning; but they are still both good enough QBs to lead SB winning teams. Everyone always picks the Chargers and the Cowboys to win because that will be the year they finally sort out there problems and utilize their "talents" but year after year its the team with the position players that win it. Maybe those two teams (not trying to pick on them but they are good current examples) should stop trying to keep using their "talent" and start using their players in the way that they will get the most production out of. Take the guy who will make the tackle over the guy who will get 4 sacks in a game but cost the team 50 yards worth of penalties....maybe then they will start collecting some rings
EDIT: By the way, while the Jets are a very good team, they are a BOREEEEEEEEE to watch…the amount of big offensive plays in this game is just astounding..
OMG! Giants at Houston. The Giants did not let the Texans do anything! Adrian Foster, big-time rusher, got like shit for yards! Like no passes to Andre and Schaub was pressured the entire game. I r sad.

It is because you hear how much those teams are "superior" or loaded with so much more talent, that fans of other teams start to hate those franchises (more for the Cowboys, not the Chargers really). To me, hearing endlessly about "What is wrong with the Cowboys!??!?!?!??!" is way better than hearing about "How much are da Boyz gon rape the team, the league, and the WORLD by this week?!?!?!?!?".

Yeah and I didn't hear anything about it because of the Cowboys, Favre, and Moss. I was surprised by this game.
Also, Favre isn't looking too hot. What would it take to bench him? I am thinking that has as much a chance of happening as the Bucs winning the next three Super Bowls.

The Bolts generally don't get that kind of love, as they start slow and always blow it in the playoffs. They're never at the top ranking wise until the end of the season.
Even the Boys have died down ever since their playoff woes…
The only people still like that are Cowboy fans.
Also, in case y'all haven't realized it, the Jets are the new bandwagon team. Patriots are no longer cool to root for it would appear....

Probably true, I am just surrounded by Cowboy fans in the form of family and friends, so I do still hear a good deal about them.
Oh the Jets have definitely taken over that position. Any team that gets a taste of success is going to attract those people who only like winners. Doesn't hurt that they have been getting a ton of exposure and their coach is crazy.
Once again, 8-6….. 43-33 on the season.

Also,
@1000Sunny:
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh- Yes, I just picked the Browns to beat the Steelers..you will all bow when it happens….
We beat them last year with no help from our QB. If we can pressure a hopefully rusty Roethlisberger like we did in that second game last year, it's possible. I'd love for Colt to go out and shock the world. He's starting sooner than I'd like, but the kid's a winner. The Browns have been in every game this year, but just don't have the pure talent to pull them out yet. I'd love to get AJ Green in the draft next year.
PICKS!!!!!! 8-6 again last week, god damn upsets on the Chargers, Saints, and Cowboys killed me so now I'm 42-34
Whoops forgot to put in this game so anyone picking might want to thow this one in there too….
Baltimore @ New England- I love the Pats and this is going to be a close one but the Ravens are just plain better this year
Miami @ Green Bay
San Diego @ St. Louis- I would say that if the Chargers lost this game its over for them, but then again they are the Chargers so they will probably runoff 9 straight to win the division only to lose in the 1st round on a missed Kaeding Extra Point
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh- Yes, I just picked the Browns to beat the Steelers..you will all bow when it happens….
Kansas City @ Houston
Detroit @ New York Giants- I HATE the Giants, Eli is the most overrated QB EVER I HOPE THEY GET DESTROYED!!!!!
Atlanta @ Philadelphia
Settle @ Chicago
New Orleans @ Tampa Bay- Saints have problems, big problems
New York Jets @ Denver
Oakland @ San Fransisco
Dallas @ Minnesota- If it weren't for the Rangers in the MLB Playoffs the entire town of Dallas would have committed suicide 2 weeks ago…
Indianapolis @ Washington
Tennessee @ Jacksonville- I hate to do this but I know my Jags and while they will show up and play well, they will lose…after 6 years of being a football fan the one thing I have learned is that the Jags will get your hopes up just enough to stomp on them with a cleat wearing foot...
I thought we were one short…

Floyd out for game after injury
Eff my life.
Colt McCoy looked pretty damn impressive in pretty much the most difficult spot to ever make your first start.
I didn't want him to play this season, but at this point, let him start, and see if he can keep impressing.
PICKSSSSSS: Went a horrible 4-10….took a couple risks and look were it got me...so know I'm 46-44, I better kick ass this week...

Looks like NO is about to screw us all over this week.
Unless my boy Brees decides to show up and play the 4th quarter.
God, I wish I would have made the homer pick.
Browns troll the defending champ for the third year in a row.
Chiefs won by quite a bit today. There were so many turnovers in all the games.
the Cowboys vs Giants game will be intresting tonight if Dallas losses keep rising up
Landry must be rolling in his grave if knew how badly his team has fallen
Jeez, Jacksonville's record is better then most thought it would be at this point in a rebuilding year, but it's still upsetting that every loss has been by more then 20 points. I'm not expecting much this season, but I want them to do good enough to not be moved to Los Angeles. ;-;
Cowboys are done.
Romo could be out all season.

I'm glad, I hate Romo, hate the cowboys and want Jerry Jones Dead…...
@Mr.:
I'm glad, I hate Romo, hate the cowboys and want Jerry Jones Dead…...
As we all know, I'm a Bolts fan through and through, but I will defend Romo to anyone.
He's a fantastic quarterback, and the Boys saw how important he is to their team tonight. If you hate the team, that's fine, but there's no reason to hate the player. He really is a great guy. I got to meet him once, and he left a fantastic impression.

Well I really dunno why I hate Romo, I just get a really intensive hatred for him…
ugg… looking at the NFC north... do you see a winner there?
I'm a Packers fan, myself, but even I have to admit that while they looked amazing coming into the season, the loss of Ryan Grant has hurt them. I want to believe that they'll make a big comeback, but...
then you have the Bears, who somehow started off 4-1, but when you let your quarterback get sacked 27 times in 7 games, you don't keep a good record for long.
and then you have the Vikings, with rusty old Farve continuing his tradition of throwing late-game-changing interceptions.
and then you have the Lions, about whom little needs to be said.
I mean, it should send some red flags to somebody that the top spot is a tie for first at 4-3. :\
Tony Romo might be a nice guy personally for all I know, I've never met him. But the fact that he's the QB of the Cowboys means watching any sort of sports media you have to know everything about him because they WON'T LET YOU FORGET.
To say nothing of the fact that despite the same hype every single year, the Cowboys always find a way to fuck it up.
I don't think that there has ever been more wrong Superbowl predictions by the "experts" than on the Chargers and the Cowboys this past decade…
And, statistically they are the two best teams in the league, when will people learn that the "best" team rarely ever wins it all. Its the one who just has that one string of good games that carries them to a Superbowl win, that's the beauty of the NFL....but for teams that have the most fucked up luck (Cowboys/Chargers) they have no chance
If the 49ers lose this week I give up on life.
Don't give up! Your coach hasn't! lol
Oh, and apparently Tampa Bay is the best team in the NFC
Went a miserable 5-9 last week to take me to 59-45 on the season.
This week's picks:
Denver @ San Fransisco
Miami @ Cincinnati
Washington @ Detroit
Carolina @ St. Louis
Green Bay @ New York Jets
Buffalo @ Kansas City
Jacksonville @ Dallas (Without Romo they're done.)
Tennessee @ San Diego (I will always stand by my team!)
Minnesota @ New England
Tampa Bay @ Arizona Seattle @ Oakland
Pittsburgh @ New Orleans (This'll be a good game if NO plays like NO.)
Houston @ Indianapolis (I'm ready to see Indy fall)

At first I wasn't concerned because Brandon Jackson was a guy the scout team went after in the first round (and GB has a great scout team). Then, after witnessing his inability to find holes, I started to get a little worried. He's been steadily improving in that area from week to week, though, so I think the running situation will be ok as long as he can stay healthy. He's already good at picking up blocks on blitzes, which is the most important thing.
I'm far more concerned about a dominant but increasingly thin defense. It's a bit reminiscent of the Bears defense since they lost the super bowl. One of the tops in the league when healthy, but always critically wounded. The lack of depth at DT and MLB, with nobody returning to fill those positions, is a recipe that could only serve to wear them out even more as the year progresses. BJ Raji is not the answer.

The Bears are a Mike Martz illusion (we've seen it before), so I don't expect them to have a strong second half. The Packers are easily still my favorite due to record, but the Vikings are on the corner of having one of the best teams in football. If Moss gets acclimated, and Rice and Favre get healthy, then their offense is simply terrifying. The defense is the same great defense from last year, they just need to pull it together. If they can recover enough to be in the mix at the end, they could be a lot of trouble.
I mean, it should send some red flags to somebody that the top spot is a tie for first at 4-3. :\
Isn't the top team in the NFC only 5-2?
To say nothing of the fact that despite the same hype every single year, the Cowboys always find a way to fuck it up.
That's my favorite thing about the Cowboys, since they get so much hype. Watching them melt down against the Giants was a lot of fun for me.

I don;t know if I'd call it a meltdown when their best player gets hurt and they have to replace him Kitna.
I'd call that royally effed over by Fate.

Romo's injury was definitely the cause of it, but come on. On a team loaded with playmakers, the only one making plays was a rookie. Romo doesn't play on defense.
