@Flagg1982:
A shichibukai will never join. They are are far too reknown, exeprienced, feared and powerful already and would still overshadow and stunt the growth of every single member except maybe those of the so called monster trio even after the time skip.
And unlike Robin their reputation and fame is entirely justified and did not come about as the result of marine propaganda.
People here mistake the character devolopment Oda has given the Warlords Jiimbei and Hancock for something other than what it is.
Unlike other warlords Jimbei and Hancock are Luffy's allies, thus their character devoplments are backstories are in keeping with those of good guys. And that's where people fall into an easy trap.
Just because they're being developed as important good guys is no hint that they're gonna join. They're being developed at length because they are Warlords. It just so happens that unlike the others they are good guys.
Warlords like Croc, Moria, Dofla, Mihawk, BB and Kuma are enemies or much more ambiguous allies. Since they are antagonists their backstories and character developments are being handled differently than Hancock's and Jimbei's.
Oda is still keeping their backstories in store for the New World.
Hancok's backstories have already been dealt with. She's no more than Luffy's groupie now. She's been relegated to comic relief. Her character is pretty much done in the story.
And Jimbei's backstory will be dealt with in FI before the NW.
By the beginning of the New World Hancock's and Jimbei's characters will merely be side character that the crew left behind. Although, like Croc has before them, they may appear later in the story as temporary allies.
I agree with the Hancock part. I'm currently pulling for Jinbei but yes, I do agree(To some extent) that we will be getting Jinbei's backstory which Oda obviously hinted at being something big considering the fact that he didn't show Jinbei(Yet showed all the warlords) during the chapter that promotes Movie 10. Does that mean that he'll join? No, but it could help his case for a while.
The question should be, why are people still discussing candidates that aren't Perona, the former boss character ? :ninja:
Your points about Hancock and Jinbei were pretty much dead on but this part of your post automatically makes your post utter bullshit.
Perona is still irrelevant.
Perona lacks depth.
Her powers are for comical purposes only.
Perona has not shown any motivation to leave with Zoro and take into consideration that her dreamland is already complete;Dark kingdom filled with slaves(In the form of the humandrills) that would tend to her. There's no reason to say that she wants to leave with Zoro and meet his nakama.
Those are my observations that I got from reading the manga.
Too bad for Perona fans like you who still hold out hope that she'll somehow become relevant. Too fucking bad. Too motherfucking bad.
