@Ubiq:
It's rather jarring to watch last week's episode and then watch the current episode to see a scene where Leela complains about being alone.
Yeah… the lack of continuity check is REALLY annoying when its that big a development, which they ended their previous season on. I'd understand the slip if it was a mid season development, could write it off as eps airing out of order, but cripes, they've had TWO series finales with Fry and Leela getting together now. I suppose she meant Fry was busy with Bender at the moment, but...
Also, I know the movies adressed Nibbler revealing himself, and then forgetting to mind wipe the crew, as basically a throw away gag, but his sudden switch to talking intelligent mode, and the complete acceptance of it, was really jarring. So what, they've known he's hyper intelligent the last 6 eps and have just been playing along with the pet act?
I'm all for the sake of a joke over the strict adherance to continuity when it comes to small details like what caused global warming, but... not when its important character stuff like that.
I dunno. I'm kind of curious to check the credits and compare writing staff, see how many people are from the old crew and how many are new.
Episode was decent aside from those glaring aspects, but not great.
Still far better than Bender the were-car.
