I just watched most of it. Let's just that certain black guy we were all wondering would show up again returned…;)
LOST: Season Six - Wano Edition
-
-
I read enough of it to know that I need to watch S6 so that I complete a complete LOST run again before watching it.
Therefore, I will wait until the complete collection.
-
I hoped for something more sutil than "30 answer per second"
And yet that is EXACTLY what people wanted in the Final Season.
It's a hard balancing act.
I'm just glad they released it and the more pressing answers are there.

Even if I became one of the "characters are more important" people when season 6 started, I still felt insulted the way that Ben behave for the first half.
! And who the hell is so dense that didn't knew that the polar bears were there for experiments!!! for fuck's sake! And the Women, people realy needed a diagram to know "before incident, fertility YAY, after incident, pregnancy is doom, baaaad"
-
Max… did you read this thread during the Final Season?
I recall three people being "dense" as you put it.
Over and over... =\

mmm I tend to forget the stupidity of people, It leads to a happy life, except when I discover it again

That was terrible lol. All those questions had good enough answers through speculation. You should've focussed 12 minutes on explaining the cabin.
Or even better, focus 12 minutes on the Ajira 6.

Lost was never about mysteries. They were just cheap stuff the writers half-assedly threw out in order to draw in the viewers without thinking them through. They tried to give it the show the illusion of being this super complex thriller with mysteries at every turn. It's not. It had great characterization and a very good story but the mysteries sucked ass.
So it's no surprise that this ham-fisted attempt to explain everything was awful.

100% agree with this.
Every time a mystery was explained post-season 3 I died a little inside since they were so bad.

So wait.
Hurley + Weezer.
Roll that over in your mind before you say it out loud.
Hurley + Weezer.
Can this band be any more handcrafted to my tastes?
-
That's pretty badass. I may just have to buy it even though I'm not a huge Weezer fan.
I love Island in the Sun though.

It'd be cool, except for the fact they've released total shit sandwiches since 1996.
-
too bad Weezer hasn't made a good record in over a decade
rimshot
oh wait, that's the truth
-
I think I've loved everything they've ever put out.
For me, Weezer is to music and South Park is to TV.
-
Haha, so it seems those spoilers I read were very fake and were actually better than what the real video actually was.
Talk about underwhelming. If you couldn't figure the answers out to those questions and you actually watched every episode you shouldn't have even watched LOST in the first place.
-
So, I guess what with the boxset out and the soundtracking coming soon, Lost is essentially complete.
Great series.
-
There's still the encyclopedia.
-
Completely snubbed by the Emmys. >_<
-
I'd love to have Lost win some awards, but Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Dexter are just amazing. Giaccino deserved his award for best music though. Season 6 had the best score yet.
Now Community not getting a single nomination even though it was this year's best comedy is absolute bullshit. It was a teensy bit better than Modern Family and most definitely deserved the nomination more than The Office and Nurse Jackie.
Even then all is forgiven because of that amazing, amazing opening with Glee cast + Hurley + Joel McHale + Jon Hamm + Tina Fey singing Born to Run.
-
I'm sad Hugh Laurie didn't win something for his mad acting skills but ah well at least he was nominated along with Michael C. Hall. Dexter and Breaking Bad are indeed awesome and Hugh Laurie, Michael C. Hall and Bryan Cranston have to be the best male actors currently on American television. I need to check out Mad Men if it's supposed to be another S-rank series.
Edit: You know it's kinda a joke that Matthew Fox was nominated at all. Good as Lost is, Jack was a pretty mediocre character until near the end and Matthew Fox quite a mediocre actor. Not to mention all those Jack faces>.>
Double Edit: Wow Mad Men was the top show beating Dexter, Lost and Breaking Bad. is it that good? Does it live up to the hype?
-
Laurie or Hall will win next year, because Breaking Bad, and thus Cranston, won't be eligible (next season is delayed till late July).
-
Given that this season of Dexter will be about Dexter getting over you know what, I think it'll most probably go to Michael C. Hall.
Edit: OK seriously, fuck the Emmys when schlock like that are nominated for Outstanding Children's program
Double Edit: Oh Hells yeah, Dexter got an award for something noteworthy:) Ooh, John Lithgow got something sweet too.
-
About Mad Men, all of its seasons have won the Emmy for best show.
So yeah, it's good (though IMO not the best).
Also posting this here for being one of the best things ever:

Bullshit.
"Yes but Mad Me-"
Bullshit.

What the hell is an Emmy?
-
@robbybedfart:
What the hell is an Emmy?
Something only slightly better than a Grammy.

I lol'd.
Both if it's a troll OR if it's you being honest :D

Something only slightly better than a Grammy.
Itself a notch above human poo.

OMoJ0ZjEI3s .

Lol, you guys can insult the Emmys all you want but other than Mad Men taking too many spots the nominations and winners are pretty reasonable. Except the Kids programmes but it's not their fault kids like crap.
-
Okay listen up guys 'cause you're only gonna hear me say this once.
SQWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Yeah, read about that earlier today.

Sounds awesome. They were one of two characters that played so well off each other (The other being Jeremy Davies and Ian Cusick ). They feed off each other and I think they can make this sucesseful.
Looking forward to this.
-
I also want a cop comedy/drama with Sawyer and Miles. But Odd Jobs sounds awesome as well.
-
Quiet Greg, I just watched Mad Men and it's an orgasm in my mouth from all the smiling. It's not lost but the acting is phenomenal.
-
I think I just read the absolute worst Lost review.
My TV guide reviewed season 6 of Lost and instead of coming with legit complaints the reviewer whined about how they were screwed over, because the series was supposed to end after five seasons and the sixth season was tagged on to give it an ending, how Desmond was on the plane when he was supposed to be in the hatch and how the ending made all six season look worse because the ending revelation took away all the excitement of them, due to something that's revealed about the characters.
Sad thing is that my TV guide always had huge features when a new season came out and always raved about the show and gave all the previous seasons five stars. This one got one star.

http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/09/22/nbc-grabs-jj-abrams-show-with-michael-emerson-and-terry-oquinn/Do you guys realize you just made my night?! I'm so happy this is actually going from a joke into reality!
I just watched the DVD special "The Man In Charge" tonight. Wasn't epic, but it answered a few more questions and I was happy to see Walt and what happened to him. And Ben and Hurley do make a good pair.
BTW, can anyone suggest a new TV series with potential that could fill in the void Lost has left me with? I've been looking, but nothing's caught me eye yet…
-
Trust me, if you find it, ABC would like to know…
