"Sabo's Ocean" is another prediction of mine. Sounds fitting. My first guess, to me, sounds vague enough to work.
@maxterdexter:
There's a big diference between off panel damage and… a fist of magma in your chest.
But what else were we supposed to think about the explosion with Pell? He had the bomb with him seconds before it exploded, and even if he let go of the bomb while in the air and tried to escape, the explosion was so big he would've been caught in it anyway. I don't know how we would've been supposed to think that Pell would live from that.
There were people from Skypiea who supposedly died (ex. Pagaya) but they lived. There was the guy (Dias?) whose collar bomb exploded and he lived. There was a guy who supposedly bit through his tongue but that backfired and he lived.
All those were non-flashback examples. Knowing all this wouldn't give me confidence that even being magmafisted would cause Ace to actually die. Be seriously injured and need emergency treatment and all that, but not die. (If this was another manga, I'd have felt differently. But this is One Piece.)
and the vivre card.
And the vivre card didn't completely burn out until the chapter that he died. When he was fisted the card was almost gone, but it didn't burn out completely.
My point is that he could've been on the verge of death but managed to survive.
Is like the volume on Amazon Lilly called "The Strawhat crew defeated", AFTER what happened with zoro in the last volume.
But it wasn't called that… (To be fair, I don't know what the Japanese summary said about the volume.)
