Satisfaction.
Clear as that.
Satisfaction.
Clear as that.
My prediction is that in the next round Yokoya will be fined for an act of violence against abe. I mean her face looked fed up after he slammed into her.
you guys think Harimoto will be a villain also in the next stage ?
@Don:

No, Harimoto is most likely one-trick pony who used his fervently loayl servants to gain him solid edge over his competitors but when something went wrong he panicked and got crushed fast. I dont think we will be seeing him again.
than i wonder if someone will ever take yokoyas place as the main villain. i mean akiyama beat him the 3rd time in a row. i think it
s time for a guy\girl who is a new task for akiyama.

Where did you find these three times?
At the first their encounter, in the Contraband game, Yokoya owned all the participants, earning, what, over a billion yen.
In the Pandemic game, Akiyama outsmarted Yokoya for a couple of yens, but lost the trust of other players.
Now, in the Chair game, it seems victory is finally Akiyama's. And even that we have yet to see.
sure it werent complete defeats for yokoya but still akiyama didn
t lose a single time.
and yokoya just gets more and more outsmarted by akiyama from round to round.
i think now the time is come a new villain should try his best^^
Necro time
Man, I just read all the chapters in two days, awesome read all the way through, can't wait for the next chapter

Harimoto will come back, he tricked the transvestite, remember? He will be a powerhouse along with the other two for sure
Harimoto sure comes back..i mean in the latest chapter we saw that he still is kind of the favouite and that Harimoto himself said that his crew has to watch the 500 year old.
but the 500 year old will most likely betray him and so i hope the next round game will be something without building teams, or else it would be boring and Harimoto would sure lose cause of the betrayal of the 500 year old.

here we go
Wow, incredible
Thanks
i had a thought about the end of liar game…
it could be that akiyama and yokoya would work in the end togeather in a final game vs the LGT (those guys with masks) and the evil mastermind behind that game.

hmmm, that's an interesting theory but i'm not sure if i'd like it. to me, akiyama and yokoya suddenly working together is too easy. yokoya seems to only care about his money and personal gain; i don't think it matters to him that the LGT's trying to turn people against each other and cheat everyone's money, unless he loses out (but he's probably more likely to blame Akiyama).
(sorry for bumping this especially when the manga's not updating, i just found this thread and i really like the manga.)
What has happened to liar game? hasnt been an update in ages. It feels like it stopped being posted ever since onemanga.com whent down.
Any word on 139?
Its ATM on a Hiatus
I think Liar Game has always had hiatus like these between arcs, don't quote me on this, though
Just finished readying all the chapters,I really liked it except the parts where they big up every new villian starting from Mr X.Also how every one reveals his 'fool proof plan'
but other than that its good
Yeah it`s rly good.
But how fucking long is that break?
Or does the translation team just takes a break until it starts again to translate it?
No,I think there is a break as I remember reading about there being no hiatus till this arc is over.
Yeah,it is mentioned in chapter 126,i suppose it takes time to think of ideas to use in the next arc as this kind of series involves more thought than series like naruto, one piece or fairy tail.
For all who getting impatient like me, because such a long time without new material…
Well, maybe this will help a bit.
Its not super-new, but i guess some of you may haven
t seen it so far.
The first Liar Game movie, which is around a game that is not from the manga.
So new stuff and i hope you enjoy it.
Liar Game "the final stage"

Dammit, I got busy so I stopped reading manga, I come back expecting for there to be a bunch of chapters for me to read and we're still on the same chap as before! Bangs head against wall
the author said liar game should be back in 2-3 weeks
'll probably be delayed by the earthquake/tsunami
but
still
ohhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooohhhh
WELCOME BACK AKIYAMA
this thread is now a liar game circlejerk in PREPARATION of NEW CHAPTERS
what? YES. FINALLY.
FINALLY.
the author said liar game should be back in 2-3 weeks
Do you have a source?
Cause if you do then hells yeah!
This is just one of those manga I read where it's gotten to the point I just wish and hope I wake up and like 50-100 chaps are scantalated just for my reading pleasure.
Yeessssssssssssssssssss.
Nnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeee
Not gonna jump for joy just yet, not until I get a source.
I'm not seeing anything on either his blog or twitter.
Awesome. Really awesome:)
What a coincidence, I JUST finished reading this today and yeah…it was awesome so can't wait!
Let's see, Kaitani mentioned a Liar Game meeting back in Feb 9th and on the same day in March he said he turned in his manuscript (doesn't specify it to be Liar Game but highly likely).
I'd say that's confirmation that it's returning super soon but I'm still interested in the source for the quote Buc provided.
Dammit, trapped. :getlost:
As i see you all got already the good news.
I just can say "FINALLY!!!"
<grumble grumble="">2 weeks before april's fool.
Just finished reading this, I hope that it's true.</grumble>
Holy sweet pancakes!

In this game everything could be a lie :ninja:
Yep, it was the author's twitter.
He mentioned the Liar Game meeting and then that he turned in a manuscript a couple weeks later. I remember reading in some interview that he planned on finishing Liar Game before he decided where to branch off next, so I can't see the manuscript being anything else. I imagine it'll be prolonged by the current state of Japan, but there's little reason why the series shouldn't be back come late April/early May.
about damn time, it must take a long time to plan out a game like that so you can't really complain.
YAY. Any idea roughly how regularly the chapters will come?
Just read through Volume 6, finished off the Third Round arc. I felt it kind of dragged on a bit; it really felt like a grudge match during the last few chapters.
Still a fun manga though. :)
damn when does the new chapter come out :(
I've been following this since 2006 and the author has taken many long breaks like this (although not quite as long). He's already given in a manuscript so I'd expect the next chapter to be within the next few weeks.
any news on this?
This year's 45th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that a second live-action film inspired by Shinobu Kaitani's Liar Game psychological thriller manga will open on March 3, 2012. Shota Matsuda (Hana Yori Dango) will reprise his lead role as the genius Akiyama, while Mikako Tabe (Kimi ni Todoke) will play the heroine Yū in a new game. The manga itself will resume in the magazine in November.
Last time manga was sheduled for spring 2011, there were even rumours of manuscripts ready - and nothing followed. So this time it's November, eh? I definetely hope so.

Me too, although I heard somewhere else that it was resuming early 2012.
What i heard was that it will resume in November, but like the rest iam skeptic.
