Gotta go with the King and say Cavs
NBA Playoffs

Two sweeps in one night. Magic over Hawks, and Lakers over Jazz. Include Suns over Spurs, and that's three sweeps in one round. Has that ever happened before?
-
lol, Cleveland's supporting cast. Even if they move LeBron on Rajon "Mother Fucking" Rondo, that's going to force Mo "Lol" Williams to guard Pierce or Ray Allen.
I still expect the Akron Hammer to will them through this series, but they might run into a buzzsaw in Orlando, just like last year.
-
Rondo is surprisingly good..
I still hate him… more than Kobe beef which is almost impossible. Suns… where did that come from.. I think they stand a great chance of beating the lakers, but man did Amare decide to leave the Suns at the worst possible time, this must be their best playoff season.
-
Boston is very, very lucky that Rondo got signed to that extension several months ago, because somebody would have given him a max deal if he went on the market as a free agent.
-
Rondo is very good but he wont play like that every game and it took that monster triple double to keep them from losing at home, Cleveland is fine they will take the series in 6
Its the Magic vs Cavs series that should REALLY be good, it might go 7..
And as much as I hate the Lakers, they will not lose to Phoenix, Suns will have to play out of their mind to take the series to 7 and Kobe wont let LA lose a game 7 at home
-
The thing is, is that except for the G3 blowout, Rondo has played ridiculous well this entire series. He's averaging 21 points, 13 assists, and 8 rebounds. Just a huge mismatch for Cleveland.
And don't discount Phoenix. If the Lakers from the end of the regular season and the OKC series shows up, they lose. The Suns are playing outstanding basketball right now.
-
While the Suns are on a roll, there are a few Lakers who remember the two years the Suns knocked them out of the playoffs (like Kobe). This will also be a good series to watch.
-
I'm amazed by how little heart Cleveland seems to be playing with right now. Obviously a lot of time left, so we'll see.
Also, I've never seen a NBA team that's had so much success be such a bad overall shooting team. Bricks, everywhere.
-
I hate to be a Laker hater but….God I want them to lose.
That being said, if they get past the Suns it might be a cakewalk to another title. Out of all the people remaining only team in the East that matchup up well against them is the Cavs and they are playing horrible right now. Boston is playing well but they are not good enough to beat LA because they have a very similar setup as the Lakers but LA just has better players and Orlando has had some of the easiest teams you can face in the playoffs: Charlette and Atlanta...yeah not really cream of the crop.. Still props to them for doing their job as the better team and whooping some ass but a finals rematch would result in the same way, Lakers would win...again...
Clevland has the size to battle for boards and play D in the paint against LA but has the speed to shoot lights out. Needless to say they are sucking right now and not playing to their full potential, specialy Lebron, he has to step up every game now, his team isnt good enough to win without him
But it is the Playoffs and anything can happen so every reason above may mean nothing come game time XD
-
Despite what Stern and the media would like you to think, Magic is taking it.
I'm not a Magic fan, but I know winners when I see them.
Magic has the most complete team of all this season.
-
Lebron sure messed up this time. It was his atitude that was really dissapointing. Everyone has a bad game.
-
The Cavs pretty much gave up at the end. Will this be Lebron's last game as a Cav?
-
Yes, he is now either a Net or a Knick, I'd bet any amount of money on it.
-
I'm so damn disappointed by their loss… XD
I think he will really be signing on knicks...
-
Why do would you go away from a championship caliber team to a horrible one and have to start from scratch again??
…Oh yeah I almost forgot, all any athlete cares about is $$$$$
-
Uh, Cleveland was never a championship team, they were a paper championship (ie: put a bunch of all-star guys together and expect them to win because Lebron's there - Real Madrid's football management, you saw how they turned out).
Knicks have Gallianari and with Lee leaving, a budget cap for 1 more star after Lebron = a big 3 next season. (they'll also keep Tracy if Lebron comes, not that Tracy is where he was back in the day).
Nets have 90% chance of John Wall… the great one that is supposed to surpass Rose. They also have Devin Harris, a crazy Russian Abramovic type and Jay Z to hook them up in Brooklyn.
Both are far superior prospects and popular/richer franchises than Cleveland ever was or will be.
The only other opening is Chicago, but I think Wade has a better chance of going there than Lebron.
Have some of this as well:
!

The current Cavalier team > the Knicks team for the next 5 years
I guarantee that the Knicks will not have the number 1 seed in the league or be a competitive playoff team for at least the next 5 years and they will have to be very lucky if they win a title in the next decade, with or without Lebron
Cleveland, which is quickly becoming chokers in the playoffs, still has a team that will make it to the playoffs for the next 5 years if Lebron stays and they have a much better chance of winning a title in those 5 years than the Knicks, who will be sitting at home every year after March for the foreseeable future
-
Cleveland is a poor, worthless team of shit.
Lebron is Cleveland, before Lebron, Cleveland was the team everyone laughed at. I have seen endless documentaries about Lebron's contribution to Cleveland and how he turned the franchise around. Instead of worshiping him, they boo'ed him off the court.Lebron is going where he'll be loved, and he can watch Yankee games on the weekend.
Cleveland in 2009
http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/32/basketball-values-09_NBA-Team-Valuations_Rank.htmlLebron is Cleveland, 8 pt jump, Lakers and NY still at numbers 1 + 2 despite Knicks not being playoff contenders since 2003.
-
Lebron was only booed off the court because he gave a piss-poor effort in the biggest game of his career. He was worshiped in Cleveland. While I'm not a Cavs fan, I am a Browns fan, so I know the Cleveland fanbase. They love him, and still want him to stay. It's just very easy to be disillusioned when playoff choking is becoming the norm, and especially in Cleveland, where snagging defeat from the jaws of victory is traditional, and honestly a lot of it is on the front office for never giving him real help. But also, to me it's beginning to seem that he just doesn't have that ability to will his team to championships, like the great ones of the past have done.
I would like to see him stay in Cleveland, stay at home, and build a champion. They're in the best position to compete, if they put some effort into giving him a number two guy that isn't Mo Williams or an 80 year old Shaq. If not, I honestly see him in Chicago, with a good young nucleus. He's already a worldwide figure, he doesn't need New York to boost his image. New York needs him to save their dead basketball team. But if he ends up there, I'd love to see the Knicks make a power play to get Dwayne Wade as well, they have the cap space, and that would be a phenomenal tandem to watch.

Magic had their first lose in the playoffs against Boston.. It's a close game.. eventho they didn't take a single lead the whole game… I'm rooting for them.. :(

I am pretty sure the Nba would prefer a Lakers vs Celtics finals rematch. They can try to influence the games like they did in 2002.
-
If the league office really had the effect on the games that so many people claim it does, don't you think that LeBron would still be playing?
-
The NBA wanted Lebron v Kobe but the next best thing is LA v Boston rematch..
That being said, I doubt the Refs influence the games too much but I would not be suprised to see calls go the Lakers and Celtics way a little more than usuall.
And Orlando lost that game not the refs, its the first real team they are playing in the playoffs so far so they are obviously gonna struggle
-

Agreed. They can influence some parts of the game but not everything. WIth the referee scandal, the NBA better be careful now.
Yes, The Kings in 2002 game 6 had many opportunities to get the win despite the referees help.
-
I figure Orlando will bounce back and win the next, then split in Boston. I see it going 7 games, with Boston picking up the win at Orlando in G7. They're a fantastic road team, with championship experience to boot.
And, maybe it's just my desire to see Steve Nash, possibly my favorite player of this generation, get a ring, but I think that the Suns will pull the upset on LA. Though they will have to get past some obvious Kobe-favoritism, I don't think that it will be anything on the level of that Kings-Lakers series. That's really the one time I've agreed with the notion that the NBA fixed a series.
-
The Suns are having their best Playoff season I can recall.. I mean, honestly, even with refs, Bynum is out, Pau is on fire, but Kobe has off nights, Odom and Fisher are old, and mr Dennis Rodman wannabee is a fire-hazard and may get ejected if you piss him off enough.
The Suns have a chance, I didn't believe in them, but they swept the Spurs, that's not an easy team to sweep, I don't care who you are.
-
Hahaha, Delonte West is banging Lebrons Mom. That has got to be an akward conversation in the locker room XD
-
One thing sure, a classic Lakers vs Celtics is heading this way.

One thing sure, a classic Lakers vs Celtics is heading this way.
Nah! Hate it… I want Orlando to win... And I'm starting to want Nash to be given a shot for a ring.. So, I'm on Orlando vs Phoenix in the finals...
! Boston leads the series 2-0 against Orlando
dammits, another close game..
-
The finals are doing their own thing, and we're only 2 games in, but something has deeply upset me.
Wizards get first pick in the draft… why, WHY GOD?
Well I take back what I said about Lebron going to the Nets, he'll either go to Chicago - to win, NY - for fame & $, or Cleveland - for loyalty.
One thing I don't want to jinx is a guy everyone dubbed as "a nice guy" in the ncaa... from Butler being drafted by OKC... make it happen please.. Durant needs him.
-
The Magic swept their 1st two opponents and now they're going to get skunked themselves.
-
David Stern's wallet can be happy for the moment.
-
1 more to go and the Magic's ass will be kicked…
what a very disappointing game 3... XD
-
Boston vs L.A.
It has been set in stone since the beginning of time….
-
Wizards get first pick in the draft… why, WHY GOD?
As a native washingtonian this is a great chance for us. I just hope we don't Kwame Brown it.
-
Great Game 5, Ron Ron got lucky to have been in the right place, right time for the game winner because those two stupid shots before that almost cost them the game
The series is going 7 but LA will not lose a game 7 at home…
-
Boston vs L.A.
It has been set in stone since the beginning of time….
Quoted for motherfuckin' truth.
-
Tha Magics are done… but i think they fought hard though...
I want tha LA Vs Phx series to go seven games.. I just love this series...
-
Didn't know people were pulling hard for the Cavs & Mavs.
-
The Lakers are about to wrap this up.
-
they already wrapped it up. Darn Suns lost.
-
@ZeArmyOfHalen:
Quoted for motherfuckin' truth.
But it already happened.
-
-
And here we go….Finals baby
-
Lakers 1-0, that's right, son.
Garnett fucking sucked, lmfao. Paul Pierce? Lol, how many free throws did he get, anyway..
-
The first game is not that fun to watch even if you're a Laker fan…
-
It was fun for me since I was so fucking tired of studying for finals all week.
I'll be watching Game 3 with some friends, though. Probably not 4.
-
Lakers, I am disappoint.
-
That Celtics victory was
50% Boston playing well (Ray Allen)
25% Lakers not playing well (Kobe not showing up and Artest being…Artest)
25% Refs of the NBA are all paid to extend important series...Still at least now its a series now :)
