NNooooo I don't believe it.

Wait so lightning tiger might be still alive?

I dont understand what Paul meant by "smell." Also, looks like Gangryoung powered up a lot. This should be fun.

Umm, never smelled a woman? They smell… good, y'know?
Try one, even if you are one!
@Narutossss:Wait so lightning fist might be still alive?
I'm guessing you mean Lightning Tiger, well, that's a theory… i don't know what the hell they're taling about.
To answer both your posts combined: I'm guessing it smells like fried pork at that gas station... electro fried.

And somehow that makes Fire Lizard scared =x
-
Where did this observer guy come from? Is he some kinda of established charakter that I've forgotten about or is he just the next random out of nowhere guy?
-
Very interesting chapter. The revelation almost certainly has to do with Lightning Tiger, somehow. Looking at the timeline of events, the end of the 15 day window that's referenced in the flashback occurs here. Therefore, Fire Dragon's misdirection of Vera would have had to occur shortly before then, and this is all I can find which would fit. It certainly seems likely that Fire Dragon knows a truth about Lightning Tiger that he doesn't want Vera to find out, and gave her "proof" that he was dead to convince her to stop investigating.
It could mean that he's alive, I suppose, but it'd be odd that he'd remain hidden while only Fire Dragon (his enemy) knows the truth. I'm more curious about Fire Dragon pushing the dummy technology that allows them to bring back dead people, so to speak. Such a combination could theoretically give them the tools to free Yuri, once the technology is perfected. It'd also provide reason for them to be working so hard on dummies that could withstand electricity. It seems a bit odd to do all that development just to deal with Gangryong.
Of course, there are plenty of other possibilities as well, such as Lightning Tiger being captured and imprisoned by Fire Dragon after he was exhausted from the battle. Either way, Paul knows the truth and is not at all happy with Fire Dragon, at the moment. He's also face to face with Gangryong.
EDIT:
@m00n:Where did this observer guy come from? Is he some kinda of established charakter that I've forgotten about or is he just the next random out of nowhere guy?
That would be Paul. He's been referenced several times here and there, mostly as an information source. He's been loyal to Fire Dragon because that's who pays him the most money. I believe he's supposed to be one of the 5 student council members that graduated, but his only fight so far is him getting hospitalized for 4 months off panel.

I took it to mean that she was sniffing too close to the truth that they wanted to keep hidden. His attraction to her would just be him saying that he's been keeping an eye on her.
-
I'm surprised that you use your good deduction for both theories, Lightning Tiger is alive and the dummy production, Urouge, but you simply don't put them together .
My guess would be they are trying to integrate Lightning Tiger (alive/detained or also comatose or well, dead) into a dummy and in order to have a remote soldier with all his abilities on their side in internal affairs (L.T. isn't exactly friendly towards their group, so he's no good being himself) and their other wars (whichever that'll be), but in order for that procedure to succeed, they need the complete data on EOTL from Gangryong first, as they ain't gonna get it from L.T..
That's why the whole thing was a gamble from the start, cause noone knew if Gangryong would ever reach a level that would be of use. That whole arm-in-a-box thang was mighty suspicious from the beginning, why would anyone chop off that arm and hide the rest of a corpse, unless he was still alive or his corpse is being raped for delicate stuff (unless the body got vaporized) and why else would Fire Dragon show such a shocked reaction, if it wasn't about Lighning Tiger?!
Lightning Tiger is still out there in some physical form and not only as a spiritual leader/teacher for all them deviant kids out there, that's for damn sure!
-
Well the thing about his arm was just supposed to be what LT sacrificed to seal Yuri right? So he could be alive, but he could be in hiding (Plus, we all know all the bad asses are always one armed: Shanks, Raikage, Sesshomaru, etc.). Honestly, if FD and Reunion had LT, then they would've won what ever battle they were fighting. Vera wouldn't even be a problem. LT was basiclaly the leader of those opposing Yuri and Reunion.
Therefore, I think LT is in hiding, and trying to get more people to oppose Yuri. He probably made it so Gangryoung would be able to go to the school and train on his own, and once he's strong enough, he could rejoin his master or something like that.
-
If LT is alive, he's only going to end up sacrificing himself to defeat Vera's sister a second time, and teach Gangryong the final move that helps him beat Vera and make her his baby's momma.

Thanks!
I tend to forget stuff that happened in this manga so fast. I wonder why?I notice myself doing this, too, and I'm pretty sure it's the odd names (not used to remembering Korean names and they all blend together to me) combined with the plot introducing characters who aren't touched on for 50 chapters or so, only to bring them back in in important roles.
-
I don't think Lighting Tiger is in hiding, because he isn't exactly the type to hold back and wait for tee. He's only in hiding when he was dragged there by his allies while being in a coma.
Judging from the names, Korean is very different from Japanese, not as catchy perhaps, but i really have no idea… i'd guess it's the complicated translations from early and mid Veritas that causes us to forget stuff and maybe the hardly changing locations.
-
Did I just say manga? Manhwa of course. Anyway, that picture looks nice but the background is too detailed compared to the other covers.
I managed to keep up with Ergo Proxy and Rahxephon mostly, but I have the same kinda of "forgot what happened" thing around other fighting series as well. Like Tenjo Tenge and Ikkitousen. With them I blamed it on my fading interest in them, but I'm still up for Veritas and it's even worse than with those two
-
Ikkitousen and Tenten were the EXACT same for me, just the names are incomprehensible in this, and not in a stand-outy way. In like a… blend-togethery way.
Again, the parallels between Tenjou Tenge / Ikkitousen / etc and this are pretty strong. Thankfully less forced 'fanservice' in this, thought the ladies tend to be pretty bombshelly. I definitely prefer Veritas, if only because it seems a bit more serious, or perhaps gritty.
-
i got lost in tenge/ikkitousen. too damn confusing with going to long ass flashbacks and everyones name and all that crap. i think i have all up to date downloaded, but like way behind in reading, like if its 150 ch, i am only up to like 60 or something.
veritas i think is only like 70, but still same here i ain't up to date. though for different reason. this isn't as bad, but it just wasn't interesting enough to read new each week so just waiting to read in bulk again
-
Tenjo Tenge just had this incredibly annoying protagonist. I always thought it could have been a good show if it had been only the two-years-ago-flashback + a nice conclusion the it. The present time line charakters were a couple of classes weaker then the old ones. The kid borne to the bomb swalloing mother was gross already but what had me stop in the end was when someone started fucking hives of bugs. Sryly what kinda fanservice is that?!?
With Ikkitousen I have to admit I accidentally started with the second season of the anime. It was very confusing having a "new" character (re)introduced every episode only to have them killed ten minutes later without any explanation. When I finally read the manga from the beginning it didn't make much more sense to me. So I stopped.
Veritas has the advantage of playing around with to me hitherto unknown Korean material arts. Also the protagonist is a bit more on the lunatic side then on the retard one. Defiantly a plus. And I like the leitmotif better. Lightning Tigers war with Reunion got me hooked. I hope I'll be motivated to re-read the parts that I sessioned through in one go some day. Maybe then I will remember who Paul was :D
-
O yeah love that leitmotif.
-
The TenTenge manga is 1000X better than the anime, you really ought to read it.
-
I enjoy Tenjou Tenge way more than Veritas. Veritas is just a decent read for me but Tenjou is a roller coaster of excitement. Okay sure it has the weakness of being hard to understand but it has great characterization and the fights are near godly.
-
This post is deleted!
-
That's not it. I can read Berserk and Hellsing, no problem. Thing is: The lame main characters made it boring. Maya, Shin,Mitsuomi and Bunchichi. That was a nice cast. Tenjo Tenge would be on my "read as soon as the chapter is out"-list if they where in the center of action. But Aya and Souichiro? Great characterization? Nah, not really. And I don't care for flashy fights if the persons involved mean nothing to me.
-
I use to love tenjou tenge so much but one day it started making no sense what so ever but I still read it…for the art.
-
You know what's crackin'?
Yepp, it's chapter 72!!
helz0ne forums finally released it after a whole lot of teasing ;)
Thanks helz0ne!! -
Great chapter.
Vera's outsmarting everyone.
Lol Shinra's a power slut. -
WOW shinra is a bigger hoe that I ever thought possible.
-
New chapter is up, things are getting real interesting again!
Hope the next chapter won't take too long to finish, but since they got the volume raw now, we can at least expect news in due time! -
This chapter oozes with madness. Nice one!
-
Gangryong really outshines every other character. And pretty much characters from other series too.
-
I always only want more.
-
And here i was thinking Veritas wouldn't get enough love, when people finally come up with the most flattering comments!
The next fight is a bit unfair really, with Gangryong's fists ganging up on those two small fish!
-
UUWWAHHHHHH Where's chapter 74. I must read it now. D:<
-
Looking forward to this fight. I'm enjoying this as much as I can, because I hear Veritas is discontinued or something. Meaning Vol. 10 is all there is… :/
-
WHAT. Where? Say it ain't so.
I need proof!
-

I dont think it's discontinued; raws just take a while to come out
I looked it up and apparently it's on a small hiatus or something until Part 2 begins. We're about 9 chapters away from the hiatus point. -
Man, Veritas blows all other martial arts manga the fuck out the water.
-
Eh? No it doesn't. It's got interesting concepts and characterization but it's nothing captivating. Kenichi outdoes it in all aspects.
-
Funny you say that, because I really don't really like Kenichi. Kenichi, the main character more so. In fact I hate Kenichi (the protagonist).
-

Yeah I know, I remembered your comments in the respective thread. Ah well different tastes and whatnot.
-
don't bump the thread if a new chapter hasn't been released please I really love this series don't make my wait anymore agonizing.
-
Yep, happens all the time. But I'll admit that I'm probably unreasonably partial. If I dislike a main character, then my appreciation for the work itself suffers proportionally.
And a new chapter has been released.
-
Holy crap, that chapter just kept going and going.
! Was worried I wouldn't get to see Gangryong fuck those kids up. Pleasantly wrong!
-
! I was worried too, but his hairdo stood strong!
Honse is so great and he instantly hit on pony-tailed Rud…
! Sadly this entire great manga would lead to nothing, if it wasn't continued :cwy: -
So the chapter is out… wow helz0ne have been releasing pretty fast lately.
-
I can't tell you all how satisfying chapter 74 was. omg.
-
Chapter 75 has been released.
-
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
! MOTHER FUCKING HONSE!!!!
-
Ok, that shit was epic.
! I saw it coming during the second to last page since there was no one else left, but still.. unexpected.
! Now the question is.. how?
And will this cheapen Gangryong by "using" stealing some of his techniques?
