When I used to play AVI's in RealPlayer or Winamp the Video would freeze throughout the AVI but still play the Audio but now I play it with DivX and its better but its still having a similar problem but instead the video gets laggy causing the audio to go faster then the video. This has been driving me insane I can't even watch One Piece in peace and I've talked to Slaygore and he says that don't happen to him so it must just be me, how can i fix this?
Audio gets ahead of Video

Try a better player. I suggest mplayer, but that's too complicated for some, so then I would suggest MPC(Media Player Classic).
You can find mplayer below.
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/news.htmland MPC player below.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358One other thing you can try is setting your player to a higher priority, you can do that by pressing ctrl+alt+del, then going to "Processes" find the program, right click on it, go to priority and set it to above normal.
-
So just keep DivX and just turn up it priority? Hope that don't lag my computer.

You can try using Media Player Classic built in filters, they might work better than the ones you already have.
Maybe you can go to view -> statistics to open a statistics bar at the bottom. Check that you don't get any desync. If you do, it might be your CPU being too slow or the filter having problems.
-
Ok I started rising the priority up and now It doesn't lag anymore and I'm not even rising the priority
-
It is typically not the player's fault, but the codecs. Installing the latest FFDshow and XViD codec can work miracles on your replay speed.
But if your comp is on the slow side, turning priority higher can indeed help. Also just shutting down all unnecessary programs can be of assistance. Now it's better because I updated my codecs, but before I even had to shut down explorer to play gerusama files properly. (not internet explorer, windows explorer, u know the whole desktop and maps and toolbar thing.. you can turn it back on with ctrl-alt-del, "new task" => "explorer.exe" after you're done watching)
