Personally, I would like it if Television could return to its roots, I mean, whatever happened to waking up Saturday morning and wanting to watch cartoons? What happened to TGIF and Friends etc.
Network television needs more shows like Lost, How I Met your Mother, Dexter, House, Friends, Boston Legal..
It also needs to add a middle of the week comedy night again like Who's line is it anyway, Office, Everybody hates Chris & My name is Earl (the first season), SCRUBS (the original series) etc.
And then it needs to add some more teen unisex programming like Charmed and Buffy but better written. And if its run its run, don't drag it out till it dies ffs. Some clever female dramas like Desperate housewives (season 1 again) and Sex and the City (although I was never a fan, I'd watch reruns with company). Instead of.. Greys anatomy.. ffs.. I hate my ex that made me watch that show in college.
There's also no excuse for all the bad movies they show. Hollywood has produced more than 5 C class movies to show on the weekends, and I am 10000% certain that the Network TV could show something other than the honeymooners and the yule tide crap on new years. There are many many people that spend holidays at home or back home with the TV comfortably on in the background, give them something to watch.
It also needs to add some more sports, because I've never understood the idea that in the US you have to pay to watch sports games. In every other country I've visited, you watch futbal, basketball, etc at least 2-4 times a week for free. In the US this should equate to 1 baseball, football, nba, and hockey match at least per week. Not just the finals/playoffs and not just the popular matches. It should be far more promotional of sports in general.
