Anybody else remember this/heard of this?
A while back, Disney created a little advertising ploy called the Virtual Magic Kingdom. It was a funny online game where you'd make a character, walk around a (wait for it) virtual Magic Kingdom, and chat with others. The chatting didn't work that well, though. They used a word censor that drove everybody to dictionary dance. [EXAMPLE of a VMK conversation:[COLOR=#ff0000]"ur cute" "u stupid beach" "i report u u blah stir" "haha noobs"]
Disney finally closed it back in 2008 because it wasn't making them any money. Fans signed many petitions… they tried to organize a protest, but only a dozen showed up.
It was stupid. But amusing at the same time.
