Did anyone watch this show as a kid? For me, this was the holy grail of Nick and if I found it, I watched it like sweet, sweet porn.
My God, what was wrong with the kids of that show…
Not only were they stupid when it comes to pop culture, but you fail at video games too? How can you be pop culture ignorant, bad at video games, and NOT mentally challenged at the same time?
And they would actually fail at playing Sonic the Hedgehog the two or three times it was actually on the show.

@Ichnob:
The main thing that was flawed with Nick Arcade was that 80% of the kids on the show didn't know how to play any videogames. And if that was "brought back" to today, we wouldn't have that many games you could play in a minute to get some sort of high score.
The green screen game as the last level looked both fun and awkward. I wouldn't be able when I was "hit" or able to dodge.
@Captain:
I'd always dream of being a contestant myself, just to show the bastards how it's done.
There's a reason why the contestants sucked.
When picking people to participate on the show, they'd test their skills out in games first. The worst players were the picks. The reasoning behind this is because they didn't want the best players always winning everything. Otherwise, Nick and the sponsers would have to pony up more money for the prizes. Hell, some of the prizes involved free trips to space camp or resort vacations at Orlando (future visits, that is, since Nick Studios was at Orlando).
Nothing's more disappointing than being told you're too good at video games to be on the show. :(
