Didn't know there was one thanx!!!

wrong forum, moved.
you don't have the proper codec most likely, or it wasn't fully downloaded
you want the latest stable xvid. You can find it here.
-
Ok could you tell me how to do that???
-
Go to the website I linked you to, download the latest stable xvid codec, and install it. that's it.
-
o ok i did it thanks
-
ffdshow is probably the only codec you will need as it contains a lot of other common filters.
-
eh, xvid covers all that, and FFDshow actually has problems with h.264 I believe.
-
Yea, it's still experimental isn't it? I just got a crash every time I try to view a h.264 encoded video and so i switched to Nero :D

I'm also having a problem..could anybody give me some advice? For all of the gerusama episodes past 230, the video always freezes at some point while the audio keeps on going. Whenever I stop and replay it always works fine for a while (the time varies), but then does the same thing again.
I looked at their faq and tried their suggestions (downloaded the latest xvid codec, the latest vlc player, and even downloaded that FourCC program) but the problem still persists. It takes about twice as long to watch each file since I have to keep on stopping and starting things..I'm at my wit's end, any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you very much!

Try downloading DivX
-
Have you tried downloading the VLC player? http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ It dosen't need codec to play .avi.
-
Wildfure did say He/She tried VLC player. If you're downloading all that stuff and it still doesn't work, it's possible it might be trouble with the video card, or maybe the computer just isn't fast enough/have enough memory to handle it.

I have scoured the Internet to no avail with this one. It seems that my problem is unanswerable, but I figured I'd give it a go here anyway: a WMV3 codec for OS X (running 10.4.2). Specifically, the only things I can't play are saiyaman raws–tried .avi in VLC, tried using DivX Doctor to convert to .mov to run in QuickTime Pro 7.0.2 or VLC, all no-gos, and the WMV3 codec seems to be what I'm missing. Tried downloading Windows Media Player for OS X, but it seems Windows Media Player for OS X can't handle .movs or .avis.
Just to clarify, I get sound but no picture, and I've never had this problem with any other downloads (K-F, Gerusama, whatever).
I'm not too hopeful since most sources seem to indicate that WMV3 codec support for OS X just doesn't exist, but any help/definitive answers would be appreciated.

Have you tried this http://kaa.animeconnection.net/torrentpage/download/Combined-Community-Codec-Pack-2005-09-23.exe
This practically has most of the codecs I think. -
OS X can't run .exe :( Is there a .dmg of that one somewhere, perhaps?

Eh….sorry I know nothing about Mac, maybe they have one here http://www.kickassanime.org/wiki/index.php?title=CCCP

Try the ACE Mega CoDecS Pack. It has saved my life several times…
Be careful which CoDecS and filters you enable though... The combined activation of some of them may cause some problem. It would be best to select the "Just play" default option. -

Alas, it seems only to be for Windows. But thanks for your help anyway, and I can try searching from there for something similar.
