Naruto fans complaining about Naruto:
Contains spoiler from chap. 271
The cover page is in color; Kishimoto is using his characters to model more junk for JC.
The whole chapter is about Sasori revealing whats hidden beneath his robes…he himself is a puppet. He has wings and a serpent like tail coiled in his abdomen; then he proceeds to unleash hell into the next chapter with his flame throwers and what not.
Someone cancel this series.
That's it!
Naruto is dead to me now! Do you hear me?! DEAD!!
Do you hear that? It's the sound of crushed hope.
I suffered through the endless chase before the Kakashi gaiden, patiently waiting for it to get better, hopeful and optimistic of the future. I knew it would get better, this is Naruto after all, some bad chapters are to be expected. When part 2 came around, I was happy as can be, everyone looked older. It was a good oppertunity to start over. Then came this!!
This is just the sort of thing I hate. The two sides take shots at eachother for god knows how many chapters. Zero originality. Zero creativity. It's utterly and completely soulless. It would be a saving grace if it was at least done properly, but it isn't.
What I liked about Naruto was the world, the characters and the story. I want Kishimoto to explore different countries, flesh out characters and get on with the damn story. Not necessarily in that order. Instead we get to watch Sakura and an old woman pound and get pounded on by newly introduced, disposable sidecharacter.
Of course, it's not all bad, it's just subpar, slightly below mediocre. Have you all gotten used to the taste of shit that you can't remember caviar? Well, not shit. Tasteless crackers. Every day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just crackers. Until it's all you can remember.
What you've forgotten is that mediocre while in today's sad society, mediocrity might be the general rule, it isn't suppose to be this way. Artist are suppose to be trying their utmost to create something good. At least try their best. And this isn't Kishimoto's best. This is him just going through the motions to appear busy for the editors. He can do better! The Naruto we all fell in love with isn't this sad creature of two dozen chapters long fights.
If we don't speak out, nothing will change. We should be watching, reading or listening only the good stuff, the mediocre stuff should be pushed out when something better comes along. We should not have to settle.
I don't know much about the other manga in Shonen Jump, but I'm not sure if Naruto belongs there anymore.
OUCH!!!!!
And the inevitable shot at OP from a voice clinging to hope:
you lose any argument when you bring up One Piece, a series where nothing of significance has happened in 30 books…
Nothing against Naruto fans. You know my stance has always been to each his own. But I do find Naruto fans losing hope in their own favorite series slightly amusing.
