I've officially caught up, poor ace! (manga wise).
It's official, he's a troll. No one can read EVERYTHING up till the current arc in like, what, 4 days?

He's not necessarily a troll, InvaderP.
He made this thread 21 days ago. He could've read the entire scanlated series in about 10 days. Seriously, it doesn't take long to read on chapter. I've finished entire volumes in half a day before.
That soon? you were in a hurry i guess… Tell us what you think about what you've read! Favorite arc, etc..

He said he bought the first 3 volumes on March 22nd and he said he caught up on March 26th. That's 5 days. And sorry, but I can't believe that someone can read over 550 chapters - that's about 10.450 pages - in 5 days.
I've only seen people hating it. It's really annoying, I think the animation is wonderful, and love every second of it when they sometimes use it in the anime and in Movie 9.
Well, here's the thing; that style is, to put it mildly, extremely polarizing. People either love it to death or consider it the worst thing ever. I've honestly lost count over how many arguements I've seen regarding that style.

That's easily possible.
I did that .

Ok, you've accused him of being a troll twice now, with no real basis. Why would anyone troll just to brag about how fast they can read One Piece? It's ridiculous.
So you know, go away.

Unless you read with a speed of hung over Kizaru on drugs.
Just to let you know:
I have read this series online, not through volumes. I do have the first 3 volumes yes but I will be getting them for my bday on may 13th. I was reading the manga online before I bought them. I have been of school 4 days this week and a day last week plus weekends. That's 10 days and including the days I did go, and about 7 hours I get off in that time makes up at least 1 1/2 days. So I was able to read it in that time and being the fastest reader in my school (no joke) helps. I'm sorry if my posts made it seem like I was reading it in 5 days cause one day I was reading Luffy vs Arlong and the next I'd done, I just didn't really see the point in typing all the time and telling you all. Bearing in mind I'm still anime wise on apis so whilst I've been getting ahead in the manga, I haven't really made much progress in the anime. Hope that clears things up.
My favourite arc would have to be either Enies Lobby (like the fight between Luffy and Lucci), Skypea or Alabasta/Arabasta. Probally would have to be Alabasta just for the fight between Luffy and Crocodile (Round 3), but there were plenty of other brilliant moments. I'm also quite fond of Water 7. My least favourite woul have to be Buggy, just didn't really enjoy it a lot.
My favourite character would have to be Zoro, Shanks or Smoker. They're just relaxed and then they turn badass when they enter a fight, like that in characters. I suppose proper villain wise it would have to be Lucci or Akainu, maybe Arlong.
Anything else you want to know?
Reading it in five days wouldn't have been particularly difficult anyway.
Yeah I know, I just posted that as to prove I wasn't a troller.
No one with half a brain thought you were.
Reading OP in 5-6 days is possible. I read over 800 chapters of Hajime no Ippo in a little over a week.
Finished the Warship island arc, surprisingly I actually enjoyed it. It dragged in places but on a whole I found it very good. Glad grandpa ryu died, well stayed dead it would have been kind of cheesy if he survived that. And decided to read the manga again for no reason what so ever except it's brilliant and want to read it again. Just finished the slope.
Now I've finished Laboon and almost finished Whiskey Peak in the anime. Prefer Laboon in the manga (but his cry is so sad in the anime) but Whiskey in the anime.
Good job, you just ruined your OP read experience. 500 chapter in 5 days, it's bad, so bad.
Whats the point to read it online while you are going to get the volumes? Seriously.
That's why I don't intend to buy the volumes all the time, it'll take me a while to get them all. And I read it in more than 5 days, it took me about a week and a bit, not a massive improvement but still.
Finished the whiskey peak stuff in the anime and part way through the marine stuff, liking it a lot so far.

I don't see why not. It's not like you're reading a novel with nothing but writing. When I first decided to read Fullmetal Alchemist, they were already on chapter 80 something. I read it all in a day and a half and their chapters are what, like 40 pages long?
I suppose if you're hooked on something you'll watch it/read it till you catch up in a fast as time as possible.

This is why I'm actually taking my first read-through of the manga relatively slowly, to let it all sink in… Four months since I started and I'm just about to start reading volume 27 (and yes, I'm reading the Viz translation; nothing like a good old fashioned physical copy).
I can't say that I'm a newbie or anything to the series (I saw up to halfway through Skypeia's dub and I'm well aware of everything from Thriller Bark onward, not to mention the fact that I've been following the fanbase since approximately 2005), but I guess I could carry on the spirit of this thread by commenting on Water 7/Enis Lobby once I get to it. I've taken great pride in avoiding nearly all spoilers of that part of the story, so as to not ruin my experience (the most I know are characters, not actual events).
Eventhough I know what happens, I'm still watching it relativley slow, I've been watching it for just over a month and have almost finished Drum Island. But I still managed to be surprised by certain things as I've read them a while ago. I can remember plots from Impel Down but not from the arc I am currently which means I can still enjoy it.

I really wish I wasn't saying this but he has a point.
One of the key aspects of One Piece is those times where you are wondering what's going to happen next. Because of this I fins that One Piece is one of the only long running shonen jumps to get this right and it always feels like a member of your family has returned when you see a shadowy figure of a character who hasn't appeared in years.
Yeah, he totally should have read one chapter a month.
In any event, if you don't get up to speed quickly round here, you will be spoiled.
I agree with you on the whole One Piece thing, kinda wishing I hadn't read it all but also I'm glad I have. I read about 2 chapters per day when readin the Dragon Ball manga and that was a better and funner experience.
Just attribute it to the great story you've been reading, making you want to find out more and not put it down. And now that you've caught up, like Darkstorm said, getting spoiled from upcoming events is no longer an issue.
I suppose if you're hooked on something you'll watch it/read it till you catch up in a fast as time as possible.
Not always. I've been hooked on One Piece since roughly 2006 and I'm still only just past the Enies Lobby arc. Not like I don't know some of the things that happen after though since I trail these forums a lot.
.: Edit :.
Either way, it's probably not a good idea to start a thread surrounding being a new One Piece fan and focusing on your experiences, only to turn around and read the whole manga series in a week without saying a word. As for not feeling it necessary to report your opinion each time you finish an arc, I think that's the point here.
The only thing I can really argue is that I had a broken legso I had time to kill and reading the manga was it.
But I still feel kinda stupid for doing it anyway.
I don't now about anyone else, I caught up with OP on a single day because I could not put it down. That was mianly from the beginning of DBF to Kuma's Shock move in TB. After theat, since CN took off the dub from TV, I decided to read through the arc instead.
I also caught up to Berserk in 2 days. Same reason as OP. I could not put it down.

Nah, don't feel that way. One Piece is an awesome series afterall.
Good point, part way through Alabasta in the anime. I haven't watched in about a week though, on a bit of a break but will pick up again soon.

Good going dude.
I wish I could start the anime and manga fresh again.
Must be awesome.
I started first with the anime and then got into the manga.
I'm currently up to date on both and of course now play the waiting game along with everyone else.
But I can remember the feeling of knowing there is a ton more episodes and chapters ahead of you.
Great stuff.

Yeah, same here. You always have the feeling that the stuff far ahead is just so different and interesting than what you're at. I remember being somewhere near the beginning of Baroque Works and hearing about this epic pirate duel the Straw Hats face against this fearsome "Foxy" pirate and I just couldn't imagine how different One Piece would be at that point and how intense it would be. Silly me :P
