As a Sonic afficionado, it is my intention to get the Sonic Gems Collection. However, I leave for college in four days. Quite the predicament. I'll probably figure something out. Anyhoo, does anyone have it? Any thoughts on it?
Sonic Gems Collection

One title decribes the greatness of this game: SONIC CD!!!!
-
I wanna get this. Ive got mega collection plus for PS2.
-
Wait..what is Sonic Gems Collection? What console does it come out for?
-
It's for the Gamecube and it is a collection of Old Sonic games. This game contains
Sonic R, (Racing) Sonic the Fighter, (Fighting) and SONIC CD!!! Also 6 various game gear games… -
I'll give it a rental, just because i want to try out Sonic the Fighter and Sonic CD.
-
It's no wonder that not alot of people played Sonic CD, the Sega CD lasted for about what-a few months?? I was lucky enough to play it, and it is really good. I'd say the best 2-D Sonic around… rrright next to Sonic 3 and Knuckles....
-
Its supposed to come out for PS2 eventually. Ill get it then.
-
Meanwhile, it's all mine Mwahahahahah…
-
I don't see why they put the game gear games on. They're unlockables on SA:DX.
-
Fuck the emblems in Sonic Adventure. What a bitch. Thank god we get Triple Trouble right off the bat in Gems. Unfortunately Nintendo of America were shitheads again and took stuff out.

No, that's Sega's fault. They removed all three
Streets of Rage games to get an "E" rating. -
Man, I would've bought it if it had all three of the Streets of Rage games. God that's lame.
-
Yeah, I'm disappointed too. Even though Sonic CD has always been my favorite Sonic game (I even own 2 Sega CD copies), I probably won't be getting this collection since they took out the Streets of Rage games. Especially since North America has never even gotten the unedited SoR games before (which I was hoping for).
I guess Sonic Jam for Saturn is still my favorite Sonic collection.
I hope they eventually put Knuckles Chaotix on a collection. I have the 32X cartridge, but my 32X broke a few years ago and I haven't replaced it yet.
-
Realizes what's missing
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! -
If they were going to remove the Streets of Rage games, they could've at least put in something a lot more worthwhile. Like Knuckles' Chaotix for starters. That would make them a lot more popular, since they just made a comeback in Heroes.
What do we get instead? The crappy ass Vectorman games. I fail to see what people thought in those games back then. I can't get past Day 2 in the first Vectorman because I have no idea what the hell is going on in that stage. Sega can bite me for all I care nowadays. >=(

What reason would streets of rage give it a T rating. T ratings mean blood and bad language. It has neither…
-
Well, even the edited version of Streets of Rage 3 got a MA-13 rating when it first came out in North America (because of the violence). Nowadays that would be a T rating. Whether it would still get a T rating these days, I dunno.
However, the game was edited to get a MA-13 rating (it would have gotten an MA-17, and Sega of America didn't want that).
Check this site out for a very detailed description of what all was changed in SoR 3:
http://www.classicgaming.com/soronline/sor3_sor3vsbk3.htmThe biggest edit was the removal of a certain boss.
In Gems Collection, maybe Sega of America just removed the games completely so they wouldn't have to change them back to the edited North American versions. I don't know much about how porting games works though, so who knows, maybe it wouldn't have been a problem. So really, I dunno.

Sonic Team is a bitch for making you play the game 100 times to unlock certain pictures. But, I love this game anyways. Sonic The Fighters alone was worth the 30 bucks.
-
More like 150 and it was for unlocking the sequels to the original games.
All I did was go in the game and exit, 100 times. Long and annoying but worth it…
