Ok I was just wondering is Black Beard looking for Luffy cause he wants to fight him,so do you think they will have the hole Black Beard thing after Water 7? It just seems weird that when they left Sky Piea and went straight to Water 7 there was no sign or even a whats he doing now thing.
Black Beard

I think, black beard will actually appear after w7, but, he won't meet luffy then… just a view of him when he's getting luffy's new bounty...
besides, no, he wants luffy's bounty, not fighting him~ -

All those things that Teach´s entire crew says about fate, will of the strong etc. just makes them appear to much of final adversary´s for me. They just fit to be in the arc where only the big ones are in so that´s why I think that we won´t see them fight Luffy anytime soon.
However there´s no reason why we shouldn´t see what they are doing at the moment after this arc. I´m sure Blackbeard will take down another 100 million pirate and prove himself worthy of the Shichibukai position. Later then when the next Shichibukai get defeated it´ll be probably one of his crewmates who will take that position until all the five of them are Shichibukai and then get sent alltogether to defeat the Strawhats. No proof for that, just what I think will happen.

sounds weird, you know?
I don't think he'll get shichibukai until.. dunno, a few volumes before the strawhats reach the last island..~

You know the fact that he is trying to become a Schichbukai might actually prove that you don't actually have leave their crew.
-
well i think Blackbeard will be a shichbukai but not all his crew member but nice theory Ivotas
-
Well, Jinbei had to leave his crew to enter Shichi Bukai, didn't he? And do you really think Blackbeard will leave his men? Nah. Either the stuff about leaving ones crew to enter SB (which I am not totally sure when they mention?!) is bullshit, and your crew becomes like, your helpers, but they too have to follow the WGs laws of course, or they plan to make them all SBs.
Just a thought. Nothing to do with this actually, why is Whitebeard called "beard", he haven't even got one. XD He should be called: "White moustache"!
Okey… that was a veeeery bad name, darn, Whitebeard maybe shaved some time ago? XD (I know that Whitebeard/Blackbeard is based on a real pirate, so don't point that out) -

First of all it was never said that Jinbei had to leave the crew. Check stephens scripts on that part because the manga has some statement that doesn´t appear in the anime and it is something very vague about a complicated back story why Jinbei set something terrible free in East Blue.
And the fact that somebody have to leave the crew so far hasn´t been confirmed. It is not bullshit, but it wasn´t mentioned neither in the manga nor in the anime so it isn´t a given. The most important part is that Shichibukai "are pirates that are acknowledged by the Government". The rest is the talk about percentage and stuff. There´s no mention that they aren´t pirates anymore nor that they leave their crews. -
They are still pirates. That's the whole point. Denying the Seven Armed Seas their crew would be a ludicrously stupid move from the government, considering their motives. The Seven Armed Seas make money for them, after all.
I'm sorry, but I still see no reasoning in that generally-accepted theory, whatsoever. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Isn't BB on another road than the SH? I mean, he was on Drum and Jaya, and both islands were deviations from the SH's initial road. The SH used an eternal pose to go to Alabasta and didn't stay on Jaya. So they never locked onto the magnetic field of the road that includes Drum and Jaya. If BB didn't go to Skypiea, there's no way he could have reached Long Ring Long Land with just a log pose. So, I think BB (and Ace/Buggy) is on a road // to that used by the SH. IMO, it would look somehow like this :
1. Whiskey Peak - Little Garden - Holiday Island - Alabasta - Skypiea - LRLL - W7
2. …....................................................... - Drum - Jaya -> ...
But as we've seen on Crocus' plan, several roads join before Red Line. Since those two are so close to each other, it is quite possible the SH will meet BB again at Red Line or one island before Red Line.

I meant from both what I've seen in forums and from what I have thought after reading One Piece. Basicly it makes most sense if you have to leave your crew when entering Shichi Bukai. For the first, it is a bigger chance that the one who is a SB will change his mind and confront WG in some matter if he have his entire crew left. That many people is much harder to "control" then just 7. And if not you have to leave your crew, than, why would Jinbei be forced to release Arlong into East Blue. I don't think the WG said like this to Jinbei:
"Ey, realese that Arlong guy in East Blue, so he can make some trouble there, yeah, he would probably be one of the strongest in that sea, yeah, he could maybe take the whole sea by himself, and we will make you a SB."That don't make much sense, but on the other side, I have a hard time believing that Arlong and his men was the strongest in Jinbei's fleet, so we will maybe see some more of those guys, if now, you have to leave your crew. More probably is that he just had to leave them all, and Arlong and his friends left to EB. Because, if you have your crew still, what if they want to be ordinary pirates again and their captain is a SB?! Do you have to confront your own crew then? Sounds like the WG would have to take some major risk about letting a SB having his/her crew, and from what we have seen, the WG is not the kind of guys who take such risks.

Like I've said somewhere in this forum, Arlong probably got angry at Jinbei when he joined the Shichi Bukai, because Arlong hates humans, and they had a fight
Arlong lost and took the men loyal to him to East Blue, Jinbei remained in the Mermen island with the rest of is crew
Also Arlong was probably just a small part of Jinbei main force

@Octogon:

That would be "hige" right? So the joke Oda is pulling on us, is that "white hige" makes us all think "beard" cuz that's what the famous pirate is wellknown for (well blackbeard is), but then we see him and he has a big white moustache, so it's the moustache translation that is correct here. Ofcourse this is a joke that doesn't translate at all..
-
The whole Blackbeard thing is much like the Shanks thing, and the Ace thing, and the Buggy and Alvida thing, and the Whitebeard thing, and the Smoker thing (ok I'm going too far here), in that they are all long term stories that are told in bits and pieces that are spread across many arcs.
I'm sure that there will be something big after the Enies Lobby Arc. There just has to be. Along with some filler of course.
And don't forget the Pirate Summit. That is going to happen, sooner or later. Ace told Luffy that he's gonna see him there and Blackbeard told him that his fists will find many fights there or something like that. Anyway I say that's where it all goes down.
-
Well, I didn't say you said so did I?
Nope, that´s why I said "…it was never said that Jinbei had to leave the crew…" instead of "...I never said that Jinbei had to leave the crew…"
-
I think Jinbei put Arlong in his place just so that he wouldn't lose al the power he had in East Blue. He'd worked so hard to get big, why relinquish it all? And why pass it on to someone completely different when he could pass it to one of his own?
It made sense strategically for Jinbei to leave his crew behind. -
what i what to know s if blackbeard has a df cuz if he does how did he survie in the ocean >_>
-
When did he fall in the ocean? If you're referring to when he was knocked away by the knock-up stream, they showed a shot afterwards where he was sitting on a plank.
-
oh yea ok nvm, but does he have a devil fruit
-
I don't think anybody knows.
-
Blackbeard to me is very cool. his crew is awesome they all have style and a swagger that a pirate is suppose to have. The Infamous Blackbeard, and his pirate crew is powerful. Lets not forget about laffite, such a tight crew. I hope Blackbeard is shown again sooner I hope. The Blackbeard pirates will kick The Straw Hats Pirates Buttttt!!!!!
-
The Blackbeard pirates will kick The Straw Hats Pirates Buttttt!!!!!
no….it just wont happen. I don't think we have been introduced into enough pirates yet for blackbeard to become a major contendor. Oda might just say that he defeated so-and-so and now he is one of the biggest bounties in the world. Im guessing that since he is related to Luffy (or so we all think because of the D. in his name), he will be a key part in the later chapters. Who knows, he might even save Luffy one day from something terrible (family bond).
-

That's exactly what I see happening too. The way the blackbeard guys were introduced was just too pirate-like for them to be beaten like any ordinary villain.
-
I love Blackbeard. I definitely think he and his crew will be the final opponents in the last arc or at the very least, be "mixed-up" in that last race for One Piece which I imagine will be between the Straw Hats, Whitebeard, Shanks, Buggy, and the World Government/Military (Admirals, Smoker, Hina)/Remaining Pirate Gods (Mihawk).
I also get this vibe from Lafitte that he'll be Sanji's final enemy. And I'm looking forward to an Usopp/Yasopp sniper battle against Van Auger.
-
See i can see Blackbeards big fight being against Shanks. You know, they get to one piece before the strawhats and fight it out, as they always hit me as a kind of evil parody of the strawhats, simler yet different. Have it as a Very very good build up to the final fight of shanks' lot and the strawhats
-
http://www.ocracoke-nc.com/blackbeard/ <– cool site.. the REAL blackbeard, edward teach.
-
I believe Blackbeard is one of the coolest characters in one piece. I also believe one of the reasons why shanks asked whitebeard about him is because Shanks is trying to rival Blackbeard in succession of being one of the Seven Gods of the Seas!!!! it's just a guess, but Blackbeard has big dreams as well.
