@RomanceDawn:
Was White Beard shown in any of the newer trailers? If he is in the movie then it akes place before the war absolutely. I can't see the events in this movie or these episodes coming after the war even though Usopp "looks" powered up.
Well WB was shown to be talking about Shiki, but that could have easily been a foreshadowing at the start of the movie that took place in the past. Don't forget, even in the manga Shiki is eluded to when Garp says "Do you think we can afford to deal with two legends at once?" So it's quite possible those events in the movie and within the first 10 minutes show how the marines first found out about Shiki's reappearance.
@MetaMario:
It's pretty catchy, though it should've been used for a longer duration coughMaybenowcough.
Nah it was already used way too long. I don't hate it at all but it got tiring after a while.
@Vegard:
Well, excuse me for having an opinion. I think Brand New World is the best opening in the series, and if you don't agree with me, then fine, but there's no need to freaking LAUGH at me for thinking that.
Agreed. ^
@Kairouseki:
Quiet Lion. I'm trying to start some conflict :devil: . It's way too quiet around here.
You, sir, are an example of these idiot trolls we detest so much.
@Charagon:
The biggest beef is a two-fold problem that has nothing to do with the merits of the song itself.
1. It was the first of the 2:30 openings, which made it drag out longer than people were used to after hundreds of episodes of 1:50.
2. It was used FOR-EV-ER. Seriously, I don't know how many episodes this opening was used for, but it was a !@#$ing lot.
Brand New World, on the other hand, gets way more praise then it deserves. The last thirty seconds of it are really really good, but the first 1:20 is just boring and generic.
Huh? The first opening that had anything to do with what was going on in the series was Kokoro no Chizu.
So far only Kokoro no Chizu, Brand New World, Jungle P, and Share the World have tied into the show's story. That's four out of twelve.
-Yeah, if Brand New World had gotten a proper run we wouldn't have been as mad. But the color spreads were admittedly pretty cool to see.
How was BNW generic? I don't get it.
