@wintergt:
Me too. All I could come up with was, some sort of super cannon, pointed at the bay. Love to hear more though, I find the plan more intruiging than Jimbei vs Moria or whatever.
I doubt it's a super cannon. That's a little lame IMO. But I'd imagine it would be something to give the Marines the upper hand or some form of leverage. So it should involve handicapping the pirates, perhaps trapping them in the bay for a bombardment of some sort, hence when WB wants to attacks the marine warships.
Another thing that hasn't been mentionned much, Squardo's disappearance. It's highly unlikely that Oda just randomly put that in, so it must mean something. Doubtful he is a defector. Maybe he ran off to do something? Or he was caught - part of the "plan"?
Yeah, I'd imagine we'll get more about this later. I don't really have any theories at present. There's just so much going on right now that that's the last thing on my mind.
@Thousand:
Nah, that's Caterina Devon. She's definitely one of at least.
You quoted my entire post just to say this :wassat: Either way, I had forgotten about her, but either way, I'm still putting my money on Hammock! Not that I expect Caterina to be a push over.
@wolfwood:
I figure its something along the lines of that Whitebeard know's that there is a trap within the trap, but he cant afford not to give the orders to counter what he knows. Its one of those damned if you do damned if you dont situations,
@Darkstorm:
It was in the last chapter, Newgate said something to the effect of "that man wouldn't make a mistake like letting you hear his plan" to Marco, after Marco had basically told him the same information Luffy did.
Ah ok, I do remember that. I took Sengoku's comments on page 9 -* my goodness, the translation on OneManga is …. yeah - well anyways *- to imply that the plan wasn't complicated and it seemed as those WB had guessed at what they would try. Perhaps there's a subtitle I missed in expressions or something indicating Sengoku has a plan within the plan. I'm just not seeing it as something that complicated for some reason.
EDIT: Found it!
@559 - page 9:
9
Marine: They're attacking the battleships!!!
Garp: You're a sharp one… so you noticed, eh? // Whitebeard...
Sengoku: So he's not one to let us guide his actions... It was never the most refined of strategies... // Still, intuition alone will not be enough to protect him...!!
This now makes everything add up.
