you're late, but i hope 'lil kiddo can live without daddy-o for the next 8-12 years to let him finish his work
@Roronoa:Woooow , a genius…......
thanks for noticing. most people only realise that when they talk to me personally, but you are different… not a genius, just different.

Anyone who makes the slightest remark about the content of the spoilers outside the spoiler forum will suffer my eternal fury. This has been the most painful wait ever for me and I don't need anyone to ruin the chapter for me so late in the game!!!
Yeah, sorry about the rant. This one week break has made me crazy and now that a chapter is finally in sight, I'm going into overdrive

Agreed with Thousand Lion-chan. Don't you dare.
Here's hoping for a Monday Scanlation. Could happen, right?…. Right? Anyone...?

there's no spoiler discussion?
-
No spoiler discussion outside of the spoiler thread.
Go to the spoiler thread if you want to discuss it.
-
my life sucks, i cant see the spoiler section.
-
Welcome to the party . I don't want to look at them anyway. If I had access I probably would look because I can't help myself. I like the chapters to be surprises.
-
Everyone has access… you should have to be signed in and not view as a guest.
I'm staying well away.
-
Kairouseki's banned.

-
Taking a dump in the sink doesn't make you a rebel.
-
All you people against spoilers, suffering. The truth is but a click away, and yet you spurn it.
An admirably stoic philosophy. I was corrupted long ago.
-
If I read spoilers, I won't be able to enjoy the actual chapter. The wait IS worth it.
-
Do you wait till jump comes out to read the chapter here?
-
I don't see the point looking at a load of low pixelated pictures, then looking at the full chapter… without knowing what the hell is going on. Basically guessing.
Once it comes out all scanslated and shit, then you can see the pages for the first time AND know what the fuck is going on. Just some people can't fight temptation.

I like to regale in the speculation and discussion and the massive drop in IQs of everyone discussing spoilers. We all chant FAKE or NOT FAKE and give completely unfounded reasons as to why that is. It's just good fun. And it heightens the anticipation. You're not so much spoiled as you are increasing the hype of actually seeing all the shit go down and imagining how awesome it's going to be. You become a part of a mindless mob entranced in a cacophonous mayhem of ruinous stupidity, and it's great. To understand it, you must taste the forbidden fruit while it's fresh.
But even up to the last moment, it could all be a lie and you'd be pleasantly surprised. I was once in your boat, but the spoiler boards in general are very fun to play in. They also get the most activity by far at the start of a chapter week.
Mah 2 cents.
-
Nice post, but I'll stick with the three or four back here and wait for you guys to join us once the 557 thread is out… then it's ON mothafuckaz!

Knowing what's going to happen is being spoiled. I don't know what this hype bullshit is about. Do you hype the scores of a spoiled basket ball game?

Lately since we always get confirmed spoilers tuesday, basically we're getting as much satisfaction as the non spoiler people, we just get it earlier. There's a huge feeling of anticipation before reading a spoiler and unlike non spoiler people we get the fun of the spoiler and the fun of the full chapter.
-
Any fun of the chapter would be ruined by the far inferior fun of the spoilers.
-
Where the fuck is the spoiler forum? Why was it removed?

Huh? It's here http://apforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=42

No, the satisfaction is different, trust me. I had been viewing spoilers for almost a year when I quit and now every chapter feels just so much better. There's more anticipation and there's the exitement of not knowing what will happen when you flip to the next page.
When spoiler reading, you'll get a quick summary with not as much affect as the real deal; a couple of pictures that leads you to conclusions, but never quite hold the real deal. Finally, when the full chapter comes out, you'll get the missing pieces, but you'll always know exactly what's going to happen next and the chapter turns out a less fun read.
Yes, you'll still have the spoiler anticipation, but the satisfaction of a newly arrived spoiler isn't as good as the satisfation of a brand new, full-fledged chapter.
I could put it this way.
Spoiler reader gets this chapter satisfaction: Spoiler (60%) + Chapter (40%). (Slightly random numbers)
Non spoiler readers get this satisfation: Chapter (100%)So a spoiler reader gets the same satisfacion, there's no doubt, but the non spoiler reader gets it all at once!
In my opinion.

Hey, thanks, I had to bookmark it because for some reason the spoiler forum doesn't show up on any of my browsers! Was worried there for a minute

He is logged in otherwise he couldn't post, so probably banned.
Well, the way I understood it, he logged in when he pressed the reply button on this thread and couldn't see it before. He probably found it right after replying in the thread, otherwise he'd still be stumped.

i see what you're saying but the relieve of not having to wait till friday kinda makes up for the nerfed surprise of a full scan chapter to me.

It's only 2-3 days… not weeks. Surely you people have more control over yourselves then that !!

Come to the Dark side $abZ, you'll never harness the true power of manga reader through being patient. Besides, a lot of people who don't read the spoilers end up asking the same questions asked in the spoiler thread even after the chapter is out, like the Garp=Dog VA question. .

Well, that depends on the person, doesn't it. It's only logical that one wouldn't know the answer to a question he never asked himself, and that doesn't always relate to the spoiler thread. The same question will still appear every 5 pages or so, since pretty much nobody reads a 30-page thread from beginning to end. :ninja:
Either way, Spoiler or Non-spoiler are ideologies. There's no reason to force people to follow the path you choose for yourself. I, for one, say let's drop it.
-
I was a casual OP anime viewer until about when I registered on the forum here, that is when I watched Shabondy and it was suddenly so good I had to know the story so I read the manga. Now if I compare, it was great fun to be able to read ID arc in one go, but you definately get more (=longer) enjoyment if you follow the spoilers, pics are released per batch, then translations, and so on. Maybe if it was more dull, or I was following other anime/manga I could have the restraint to wait for one or more scanslations to be out at once, but alas it's just too good now :P
-
Isn't the first thing to come up a summary giving away all the important events of the chapter? That's the biggest thing we "non-spoilees" want to avoid.
Also, I can't tell for sure, but I think we read the chapter several more times than you do once it comes out. When I still read spoilers, I used to read the real deal three times, max four before the next chapter arrived. Now that's just what I do the first hour. Still, this depends on the person.
-
@ herr sebbe
you must have rly no memory, when you have to read a chapter 4 times in the first hour
i read a chapter about 3-4 times till it comes in a volume out…

Well it's true that you get a general idea what the chapter will be about, but it is still different when you get the actual details, and see the pictures. I'll say again I wish I could wait but it is just too exciting atm :/

Personally I just read it once (I'm not that apt at manga reading and noticing all the tiny details like some other people do) but once there is discussion in threads like this I will often look back at it quite a number of times :P

Nah. It's more of a detailed read the second time and a brief one later and so on. Also, I read some different translations. What can I say? I really like One Piece.

Wait, did I say that already? No, I would've remembered that.

^^ i understand you
some1 who has read so far the first 51 volumes all 7 times can understand that:happy:
also a great thing about OP..
everytime you read a chapter you can find something interesting which you haven`t seen before…thats just how well done this manga is and how much love oda puts even in the smallest panels ;)
