Hehe, I'm just messing around. But I'm not. Basically, "haki" is playing off of three things: story theme, the literal definition of the word, and the conceptual/fictional ability. The story theme is, loosely interpreted, to pursue your dreams without regrets. The definition of the word is, again loosely here, the ability and desire to get up and do something; aka: ambition. Finally, the conceptual/fictional ability is, arguably, a mysterious ability that allows you to utilize a given set of skills, all of which appear to interconnect with other abilities from the stories' past. Thus, a word play.
Now, if all uses of the word "haki" to date have referred to the ability and the ability alone, the word play doesn't exist. Why? Simply because the literal definition would then have never been used or suggested within the story, and because the connection to the theme of the story (which partially requires the literal definition) has not yet really tied in to literal ambitions. At best, it could be related to your ambitious_ness_, but outside of Demon Rin I don't think anyone suggests it is related to your literal ambitions. Of course, that much is subject to change, regardless of whether or not I disagree with the suggestion. So, with that said, couldn't it be possible that Blackbeard was (from our perspective, ironically) using the actual word "haki", as in "ambitions", and not the mysterious ability that even the Amazons cannot sense without seeing it in use? Keep in mind Blackbeard is a big "fate" buff, who spent years searching for an ability that would let him take down "overconfident power users".
This also happens to be my theory that doesn't deserve its own thread…
