sweet franky nice find
-
Sweet episode… hopefully next time we'll see COUP DE VENT!
-
Argh! BitTorrent isn't downloading from Saiyaman or Maplesnow.. Plus it doesn't even download off of Gerusama anymore.. What the heck..
-
Damn, I can read manga raws but not amine raws -_-
-
Just re-read the chapters that this episode covers and watch. Depending if there's any filler, the dialogue is relatively unchanged from the manga to the anime, it should be pretty easy to follow. ;)
btw… Tilestone is an absolute crack up! Definitely the surprise packet of this arc.
-
Really great episode. Packed full o' action.
-
Franky's 'Spring Right !!!!' looked awesome.
On the other hand Paulie's 'Rope Action' was…err
Overall in this episode, it seemed to me that illustrators were concentrating on drawing Franky's action well.
Other part looked like a GIF animation to me, honestly... -
Animation on the TV sometimes looks A LOT different than how it would on the computer. I have some of the Arabasta DVDs and there are some things that looked like crap on the computer, but awesome when I viewed on the TV. So I am not going to judge the animation. Anyways, I am enjoying the Water 7 episodes so far. I hope Toei keeps up the good work!
-
True… so far it's been following the manga pretty much w/o adding any filler. And i hope they will continiue with that in the future. I will gladly wait a week or two if the second option is filler ep. (Filler eps are so boring to translate  ) Good work, toei!
As far as i understood from fujitv's site, the air date for next ep ain't decided yet.
-
Awesome ep!
Franky's Fireball was gooooood. -
At which point of the manga does it end? :)
-
I was wondering why Luffy's shirt was still fixed even though Lulu fired bullets through him.
Additional Seiyuu:
Tilestone = Inada Tetsu (Mr.1=OP; Kurogane=Tsubasa)

(there are no OP anime next week and the week after.) -

You knew I was gonna ask, right?
Thank you.

What the hell, OP is going to be annual now?
Eh, at least it's better than them messing up their streak with some awful filler that doesn't even work.

Very nice episode! It was a bit of a slow start in my opinion, as I still don't very much like Franky's voice… It's too... normal or something. Then again, I suppose Kazuki Yao has little choice, because if he were to beef it up it would end up sounding too much like Bon Clay or Jango.
The whole Galley-La brawl was awesome, though. I especially enjoyed Lucci's little ''evil'' shot. Man, I can't wait to hear what his ''real'' voice sounds like.
And kudos to the animators for paying such detail to the time-setting and the involved lighting (The sun is setting.).
Oh, and just out of curiousity… Does anyone what song that is playing during said brawl? More specifically, around Kaku whooping Franky and Lucci whooping Luffy.

Franky looks very good in the anime. ^_^ He's definately an eye-catching dude. I thought this was a good episode, although I have a nitpick about the flashback of Franky beating up Usopp…it's not like Luffy would remember that, since he wasn't there. But oh well, I know they're doing it more for the benefit of the audience, but still, just showing what Luffy actually SAW would have been better.
BTW, I guess I need to re-read that chapter in the manga, but I'm pretty sure they added some scenes. Like Tilesone running in and telling everyone about Franky and Luffy fighting. And the scene with Sanji and Chopper...I couldn't figure out what they were talking about.
-
The Tilestone thing happens in 336, pg. 12. Though, I think you might be right about the Chopper/Sanji scene, from what I can tell, it was Chopper sort of leading on to Sanji to go to the coast where Merry is docked and wait for Robin or something, but at the same time inadvertently warn Usopp about the Aqua Laguna, which happens in ch.338.
So yeh, it was just a scene to bridge or setup that later on.
-
The Tilestone thing happens in 366, pg. 12.
Do you mean 336? I guess I just forgot it.
-
Yeh, soz.. typo, it's in 336.

I think it's good they take a break, not only so that they don't have to add fillers, but also because they need more time to make good episodes. Next one is not gonna be very well animated from what we can see in the preview, so I hope they'll use the two weeks break to make 2 or 3 better animated episodes like 234 or 236.
-
Meh….at least there won't be any fillers.

I thought Franky was supposed to be remembering, but that'd also be weird as hell.
That, Pauly's ever changing symbol, and the fact that the Franky and Luffy fight wasn't expanded were small problems I had.
-
Can somebody take some screencaps of franky for me , i 'd like to see him in color… :( thank you very much you guys.

Pauly's changing symbol? Where is this? Sounds like something for the mistakes and oddities thread. And you wanted Franky/Luffy's fight expanded? I think I guess more action would be cool, but I don't think it was necessary.
-
It doesn't really change, the rings just get skinnier in some parts. I have the Chinese sub, so I dunno if I can get a pic.
And I really only wanted the Franky fight to be expanded so weird things like memories of Usopp and Ice wouldn't take up too much.

TOEI's website lists it on July 17. (http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/onep/news.html)
Fuji TV's website is still undecided
Hmm… I'm afraid that Toei site is wrong.
Here's FujiTV program listing. (I suppose you read some Japanese.)
http://www.fujitv.co.jp/bangumi/this_week.html
http://www.fujitv.co.jp/bangumi/next_week.htmlFujiTV will air "Volleyball World Grand-prix 2005" on 17th, and "25hours TV" (FujiTV's annual special program) on 24th.
I don't think it's possible to change these programs… -

Well, actually you have already heard it: Wasnt him the one who approced to Robin when she went out with Chopper? Or am i wrong?
-
Nope, it was…
SPOILERS
Blueno.

Awesome episode. I still think Paulie looks like a younger Cid Highwind from FF7.
-
That was the first non-subbed One Piece I saw, but I still liked it.
One question though. I remember seeing animes credit bandai and some other companies before as well as previews of the next episode. Has the original One Piece always done that, or is that something that will show up later in the fansubs?

Those are the credits for the "Grand Sponsers" as they put it.
Most series do that.Since KF uses the Japanese DVDs, those are not present.
