Tried all resources to find it but sigh it isn't listed, this calculator is out of production too so decided to try my luck here :3
Why do you need that exact model?
(I found a fx-991s on SG Yahoo auction, but no w)
It has pair conversions (I can't find any other calculator that is permitted , i don't understand why they dun allow 991MS to be used in the examinations….....they are almost the same thing T_T, 991W is permitted) and metric conversions all under one roof. Plus binary (Hex, Binary, Oct) in one calculator.
Do they allow "programmable" calculators (like the TI-8x series and Casio CFX-9800 series?) In the States, those are usually allowed on the exams, only the ones with typewriter-style keyboards are forbidden. You could write small programmes to do what you need.
O_O its a nono. and lucky T_T that you are able to use those in the US, here in Singapore has a strict range of permittable calculator to be used for exams. Graphical/programmable calculators are out of the question for using.
In Japan, we're not even permitted to bring in ANY calculators. At least up to high school senior. We had to memorize all those formulas and stuff. :x I thought American kids are really spoiled. (But I got easy A on Math classes, so I don't complain.)
I used TI85 in college… :/
