That's a little better than what I was expecting anyway, so yays.

That's good that we have a release date finally -_-
-
FUNi never said they were going by Toei's bad excuse for seasons.
4 voyages most likely = 1 One Piece season for FUNi.
Except I'm pretty sure that FUNi is considering 144 as the start of Season 3. That would a lot more than 52 episodes in Seasons 1 and 2.
I think we'll get Season One 5th Voyage, and then start on Season Two, which will go to the end of the post-Arabasta filler.

Shmeckie has refreshed my memory(thanks), Mike Mcfarland once said that Skypiea was season 3. This would probably mean:
1-62 = Season one
63-143 = Season two
144-195 = Season threeWhich quite handily would still mean I'm right with the season one cut-off point. ^_^
Of course, rainbow & G8 may make their way into season three, but I don't think funi would like to start a season with that rubbish, however that would leave season two rather on the chunky size. But both ending season 3 and starting season 4 with G8 would work, since G8 was so good, so I'm not sure which way that would go.
That reminds me, I really need to get a toonzone account and ask lance if compass will ever see a release in one of the normal dvd sets(I already have the movie on dvd and don't have blue-ray), and whether we'll see the specials as part of the normal progression of things, or if they'll not be dubbed/be seperate.

I'm still thinking they meant TV season 3. From where the 4Kids dub left off, 144 was 105, which would be the start of a normal third season.
From what FUNi has been doing, I would assume that 4 voyages= 1 season. It's consistent enough. We'll find out the answer when fourth voyage is released.

RightStuf has both Part 3 and Blu-ray Movie 8 up for pre-order. £11.50(ish) for a Blu-ray is a really good price. I've pre-ordered both :)
-
Ah, nice. PRE-ORDERING TIME
-
Actually I just realised. Are FUNI's Blu-ray disks region locked or not?
-
So if I pre order from RightStuf, I'll get it mid-Jan. nice.
-
Wow, 18 bucks for a Blu-Ray release. That's a steal! If they have a special (since they are both same day releases) maybe I'll be able to get both.
-
Sweet, Part 3 comes out right before my birthday. What a swell gift it would make indeed.
-
If anyone was still hoping for episodes 27-40 on this 3rd box set, I'm sorry to say that a total runtime of 320 minutes means 13 episodes yet again. So we'll end this next set with the end of Zoro's fight, and the beginning of Sanjis.
Why did we think it would end on episode 40 again? Was it because we saw footage from 40 on the 3rd voyage preview trailer?

Yeah, I think that's why everyone thought so. Since it showed that scene of Usopp "hammering" Chuu, it caused people to assume. Watch someone try to file a claim of false advertisement for showing a scene from an episode not on the set.
-
Technically, they could put the Usopp hammer in the because it could be on the episode preview at the end of episode 39. I am still disapointed that 40 won't be on there though. I wanted to see Sanji kick Kurobi's ass so bad again too.

applauds Yep, that's the loop hole right there…loop holes are so much fun! And I'm with you too, Sanji kicking Kuroobi's ass is my favorite moment in the Arlong Arc! I'm also curious how Vale is gonna pronounce all the French terms. I remember some people complaining that he didn't have the pronounciation down pat in the movie 8 discussion.
-
Really, I liked how he pronounced it on movie 8, it sounded really cool.

Really? It sounded pretty accurate.

sweet on my birthday too
-
Well, I finally got my second voyage set and I loved it! Sat through the whole thing in one sitting! Kuro's fight was awesome, the acting is still top notch (imo) and I was happy to finally see Sanji entering the fray. I don't care what people think, Vale is doing Sanji justice.
Let's see, some cool surprises that I found in the set: Patty was played by the dude who plays Masira! That was just awesome, the voice just fits for both characters. It seems we have two VAs from Jaya/Skypiea in Baratie (Patty=Masira, Pearl=Enel). XD Another was Johnny's VA…Chris Ayres! Everytime he spoke, Kei Kurono from Gantz just kept popping in my mind and that was just trippin'...in a good way! XD

Animecornerstore are saying it is indeed 27-40.

Animecornerstore are saying it is indeed 27-40.
But then again, that's just a random store. They could easily be wrong.
-
But then again, it's a very good store. I'd buy more stuff there if their international shipping prices weren't so deadly.
And in their blog, they say the information comes from the funi release schedule.
-
Let's just assume it's thirteen episodes until somebody actually gets the set.

This guy's pretty reliable when it comes to his information. Hell, he was the first to report about some odd shake ups going on with ADV Film's releases, before we found out the whole Sojitz issue… So this information is more than likely legit.
-
I could definitely believe 14 eps considering the footage shown on the trailer for the next set.
-
Yeah, this set gots a good chance to be 14 episodes, since of the scene with Usopp doing the finishing move in his fight agaianst Chu was in the trailer.
-
Kyle Hebert is telling me over AIM that the directors said they'll be recording Cobra soon. He's thinking so long as they can have the scripts done by Christmas he'll be able to reprise his role from the film. He did not reprise his role for Skypiea as it was a flashback and it'd be insane for him to spend $400 on one little flashback.
-
Well sounds like they're almost done recording the first three seasons.
-
You guy's can contact Hebert via AIM as kibavox. He's knows more then I'm willing to reconfirm.
-
I wonder if they're replace the temp's line with Hebert's version if he does do the Alabasta eps. Is that line an exact copy from another ep?
-
Ooo, nice, Amazon has set three listed for $34.99! Thanks for posting that Sano!
-
Cobra appears towards the end of Drum, a few months ago Caitlin (I think it was her) said they were dubbing Drum. They must be going slow now. XD

Hi people! Sorry to change subject but I have a question to ask: I recently got Voyage One from Amazon and Voyage Two from Right Stuff, but I noticed a difference between the two cardboard boxes colors. Is Voyage One a little less colored or did the guys at Amazon sent me one that was not in a good shape?
-

That's wierd. I'm not saying that they sent you a faulty copy but I never noticed that before. First Voyage is slightly lighter than Second Voyage. I got both of mine at Best Buy. I guess it's supposed to be that way.

There was a Cobra flashback in Skypiea? I like Kyle a lot, I hope he reprises his role.
-
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't recall a Cobra flashback in Skypiea, tho it's been awhile.
-
It was in that last Robin centric episode.
-
I just watched it dubbed. It's the one when Robin believes that the Golden Bell is actually the Rio Poneglyph.

To anyone out there who Cares.
I have a program that sits on your desktop and counts down to things as you set the date to them.
It also has the ability to take Custom Skin Files that let the image look however you want.I made a set for 3rd Voyage!! So I decided to share here for anyone who also wants it.
To Get the Desktop Clock, Follow these Steps
Step 1: Go Here
Step 2: Download and install the Program offered there.
Step 3: download this
Step 4: Unzip that file (Click "Extract Here", don't make a new Folder) into the "Skins" Folder in the PhanTim3 Folder in your Program files. (Should be C:\Program Files\PhanTim3\Skins)
Step 5: Open the Program, Right click it and set the date and Time to "January 20" at "12 AM" and go to "Chose Skin" and pick which of the 4 One Piece Skins you want. Then, just sit back and Enjoy.
Also, as for the Skins.
You have 2 Choices.
Choice 1: Just pick one of the 4 skins and use that
Choice 2: Pick the Folder for the Skins instead of just one of the skins, then pick "RANDOM", and every 5 minutes, it will randomly cycle through the 4 skins. Here are some pictures of what the 4 Skins I've made look like, Minus the Actual Countdown numbers (The program adds those after you set the date)
-
Wow, those actually look pretty cool. I'm sure you used Photoshop as well right?
-
yeah, I just noticed that now when I tried to DL it for my Laptop,
One sec and I'll Reup… thats strange as sin...http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EY0V98ZE
Here it is, and I'll update the post above with it too
-
So is it releasing on January 20 like Amazon says?
I haven't been keeping up to date like I should >.>
-
Yes, according to funi's release schedule, we're getting 27-40 on the 20th of January.

Can you post this Schedule?
I'm hearing everywhere now that this set will have 14 eps but Haven't seen any Proof -
Heh. Yeah, I think it got bandied around after I posted it a week back, and then that guy who got banned(jet pistol), went and posted it at toonzone. Guess he's still lurking.
In any event, here it is. ^_^
-
I originally thought third voyage was coming out in February, but if it's coming out in January then that must be a good sign. I'll have to pre-order soon.

Hello I would like to make a coment on the voices , why have they already reuse most of the voices from the video game and movie ? A lot of them are like on character three when they have so many underuse voice actors it's silly to do this. This is the only problem I have with this. And also i think they should have had Eric Vale/Jason Liebrecht play Ace , Troy Baker play Sanji , and Travis Willingham as Rob lucci.
