    It's lonely at the top:

I definitely appreciate the depth our champ has been given.
Calm as a stone on the outside, frustrated on the inside.
An undefeated behemoth as a boxer, but someone so very dissatisfied as a warrior.

I don't care what Morikawa says.

    Ricardo > Takamura

Still, what a boring match. It's my first time seeing a Ricardo fight (there may have been others before but I never read the full series) ; is he always like this ?

    Yes, that's his whole struggle.

His fights are ALWAYS quick and boring.
    And he hates it.

Whenever he feels like he's found a worthy challenge, he's always let down and they fold like paper.
He's just too good for anyone to handle, without even trying.
As a result, he feels lonely at the top.

He himself wishes for more hot blooded or exciting matches,
but he is ALWAYS disappointed with how effortlessly he beats his opponents.

The fans still love it because "holy shit, this guy is so good",
but he himself isn't satisfied at all.

They’re not typically boring unless you hate the idea of a guy (whose not Takamura) throughly destroying his opponents after feeling them out (except Ippo in that spar).

The last time Ricardo probably actually enjoyed a match was with Date, because Date held out so damn long and actually landed a good hit on him. It just wasn't good enough to beat him.

In terms of boxing? No doubt. But Takamura would probably lay him on account on being much heavier and pretty much only needing a graze.

Ricardo desperation for a good fight makes me look forward more to a match with Sendo then Ippo. Miyata is too clinical and Ippo is fairly dutiful so both very much depend on Ricardo losing while with Sendo he'll make it entertaining no matter.

He probably was bored until he realized with that last punch that Date wasnt just a lamb sent to slaughter but someone with a real chance to take him down.

Somehow pages of the last chapter got mixed in with this chapter's, but it's all still there:

I'm lol-ing at how Aoki's brother seems to have fallen victim to the Aoki curse of being the buttmonkey.

More of that "high class" HnI humor:

And I was wrong, it wasn't Aoki's little brother last time, it was Kimura.

Every now and then there's a HnI chapter that gets me chuckling irresistibly. I can't help it, "high class" it might be, but Moritaka's brand of comedy just resonates with me

    The last two chapters:

FINALLY Takamura's going for his next belt! And it's another blonde American.

I read some of those chapters while the site was down and boy I knew they fucked with Kimura regarding his weight loss but jesus.

This is what's supposed to happen to Aoki.

He looks like an 80's villain. But he sounds fun.

Still i'd prefer the loser trio to make some headway.

But a Takamura match should be fun enough
