Didn't he unleashed a natural disaster ? (vicious storms calamity) I think that would fit as his awakening.

Was still at 0. Bounties are quite random like that
Well Luffy did also mess with that marine that was covering for Arlong. There was some crime in there somewhere (keeping in mind raising a jolly Roger alone is a criminal act).

Whereas BB kinda just was lucky to sack the right kingdom. That's probably the only real confusing part. The WG must've not cared for Wapol at all when BB sent him running. He apparently did nothing worthy of note as a WB pirate, that battle with Shanks must've happened suddenly and on some uninhabited island where no other pirates or WG agents or marines were around to observe (or there were simply no survivors). Killing Thatch was probably seen as a good thing and again not worth seeing BB as a threat (maybe this happens a lot in other pirate crews like the Beast Pirates enough that it isn't bounty worthy).

He just likes to kill. Or "squash insects", in his own words.

So the Psycho-Warlord ranking is something like this:

    1. Doflamingo
    2. Mihawk

    gap

    3. Crocodile

    large gap

    4. Hancock / Jinbe during his hooligan days
    5. Weevil
    6. Blackbeard

    large gap

    7. Moriah
    8. Law

(curiously what Moriah did was really tame in comparison, a super effective Warlord without actually killing anyone)

    gap

    9. Buggy
I dunno, kinda hard to fully judge Weevil especially below Jimbe and Hancock if this is the psycho-warlord list.

While Moria was effective, his methods were and are just as torturous and wicked. He basically put hundreds of lives at risk since all these ppl without shadows were forced to stay in the darkness. Similar to Law given he cut out hearts of pirates and given his ability they probably were still alive (at least until he handed the hearts over to the Marines/world gov.)

So I think the cruelty in those actions at least put them above Hancock and Jimbe.

I am too interested in Mihawk's story. On one hand, he comes off honorable amd upstanding respectable dude. On the other hand, he does seem like the type to put on airs, look down on those weaker than him in disgust and kill them, and if he gets any pleasure out of that it seems to not be the laugh and enjoy it kind (like Doflamingo) but the sadistic pleasure kind.

It'll be really interesting to see if he was a part of a crew or was the captain of his own and why he became a pirate.

I could also see Mihawk as the type not specifically intending to be a criminal but got caught up in a sequence of violent events where he just never cleared the air or corrected anyone so boom he's a pirate and when Marines started chasing him he just saw it as practice.

Iím sure thatís exactly how the scene plays out and thatís how everyone reads/interprets the scene.

This has been my dream ever since the Katakuri fight! I always figured it's why Oda spent SO much panel space having characters in the story compare Luffy and Kara's fruits, and constantly pointing out how inferior Luffy's was because he could not generate additional substance. It's literally the ONLY way to make awakening useful for Luffy, as everyone's cousin's cat in the New World has Haki that easily and constantly bypasses what used to be Luffy's rubber defense (and would probably do the same for anything or anyone he made rubbery with that flavor of awakening).

But 6 arms all punching at jet gatling or *gasp* Snakeman speed?! Yes, please!

Oh, and a quality if predictable chapter. Gotta love Oda's consistency. Man, Oda's REALLY emphasizing that the 9 scabbards are done! I mean, these are arc-ending injuries if you're not the MC. They really are not gonna be the stars of their own prophecy, the poor bastards.

Luffy being a full fledged rubber logia would be cool but I don't see that happening more so than him being a "sort of" rubber logia. That means he wont be generating rubber; he will just become a full fledged rubber-man. Imagine him being in a sort of liquid state(stretching, twisting, inflating etc.) and then solidifying and being super tough.

How would that fit his awakening? "Awakening" started with the Zoans in Impel down. I imagine Kaido's awakening will just be an upgraded version of his hybrid form.

I'm pretty sure if/when Oda goes the awakened paramedic mode for Luffy his body is basically gonna become silicone/nitrite/EPDM rubber to where his body is incredibly tough.

Plus since it has an incredibly high resistant to heat, he'll just start from there and make him capable of taking on Sakazuki's magma punches.

It can't just be Luffy being super tough; he still has to stretch, inflate, etc. He would do that best if his base form was a sort of liquid state.

If Luffy's awakening grants him the ability to become liquid rubber, what's stopping Kuzan and Monet from awakening their fruits to also manipulate water, Sakazuki from manipulating rocks and Jozu and Pica from also using magma?
