So good to know that the avid fans (aka early voters) are inclining towards someone fresher than Luffy. Hope Brook can maintain the position!

Maybe one of the reason why more Strawhat because they’re on the first page of the poll. It’s easier to vote for them first before anyone else.

After you vote, you unlock an Augmented Reality model of the character you voted, you can view it in 3D and project it through a photo camera able to use AR technology (pretty much every phone, even because it is the first AR technology and it doesn't need ARcore or AR+).
Since models are saved through cookies they're linked to the device you use to cast the vote and if you clear cookies you lose them all (this could be a problem, I'll certainly lose them, hope they'll release the whole batch). I imagine not every character has an AR model, if they really made one for each character that's huge and an absurd work.
I voted Luffy and its model is a chibi-style one taken from Wano.

It only has Luffy for today, and the AR only extend to other Strawhats in Wano

I'm loving this. Hopefully somebody is going to keep stats on daily (hourly?) popularity trends for each region.

Shame about the VPN abuse, but not really surprised. Just glad to see worldwide appeal/voting at all.

Still going to vote for my boy Kinemon whenever I get just because I feel like he's going to be so underrepresented. Also want to vote for Brook (toss up between him, Usopp, and Luffy as my favs usually) given I thought he was gonna also be on the lower end of the popularity poll but given today's trends at least he's doing surprisingly well, for me anyways.

I think I'll vote for all the characters I really like for 2 or 3 weeks and spend the rest of the days in some ultra-obscure character to see how high I can get them.

So anyone complaining about VPN abuse, I'm guessing you haven't gone through the rules yet?

They're specifically on the watch for cases of illegitimate/weighted voting. If votes are found to be inordinately placed in favor of a specific character that seems suspect, they will be taken into consideration and even possibly removed.

Also, the World Hot Characters are ***not*** top 3 characters with respect to number of total votes. It's poorly explained and I fought against using that name but for conciseness they opted to keep it. Pretty much the only thing the design side overruled me on. What they actually are, are characters who during a 24hr period have seen significant amount of voting activity compared to the previous day. So do not confuse them for simply the top three.

But since this is the first day (with no other to compare it to yet) the top 3 are at least accurate for now?

And after day 2 it's pretty unlikely that we will see the same characters listed in the top 3 twice in a row?

Like, I imagine Brook gains 10.000 votes on the first day and the system considers this an outstanding amount of votes. If he gets another 10.000 on day 2 he won't be listed as hot though, since that's just his regular influx of votes - despite it being a relatively large amount?
So continued good results are punished, while spikes are rewarded.

I like it, means we can directly see how the next couple chapters corresspond to the voting behavior.

afaik and according to the rules, the figures displayed are only from the previous 24hr period. So unless they did a special unique update literally moments after polling opened, then the current placing reflects tests that were done before opening.
