    Chapter 15 is out: https://mangadex.org/chapter/1008339/1

    Spoiler:
Well, Frieren is more ruthless than I thought, then again, so far she has been right about demons. I guess this will be the first serious arc.

Thanks for pointing out this manga. Binged it right now. I think the older you are yourself, the more tears will flow each chap.

    Spoiler:
The longing seeps out of every panel. At least until now. Now the action starts I guess.

As a german "Lord Lügner" made me chuckle quite a bit. Well, there it is, the bad guy. Love the literal use of my language here. Makes it easy to get what the author wants to convey. Like, the forest "Größe" (big/size). Fern (far/remote) makes me think though...

    Chapter 16 is out: https://mangadex.org/chapter/1016992/1

    Spoiler:
The human commander being smart enough to not jump to conclusions was nice, even if things went awry afterward. Looking foward to the disciples battles, but I hope we still get more relaxex chapters after this arc. That said, this chapter´s mood was still pretty light-hearted things considered, wich is nice.

Stark is funny. Since the girls are serious it balances the group dynamic
And yeah next chapter should have more action than usual

    Chapter 17 is up: https://mangadex.org/chapter/1029410/1

It seems that the tittle may have a double meaning. Looking foward to Frieren´s fight, though I hope this arc has at least a couple of light hearted scenes once the fight is over.

What an odd, charming manga. I look forward to whatever it brings.

    Chapter 18 is out: https://mangadex.org/chapter/1037388/1

    Spoiler:
The whole "the higher the risk, the higher the power" thing reminded me of HxH, aside from that I liked how Aura comment on Himmel just pissed off Frieren.

I love this series, but this chap had like zero purpose.

Yeah, I kinda agree. It was basically an info-dump about the Aura´s magic without anything else really happening, I still liked the little flashback about Frieren though.

    Chapter 19 is out: https://mangadex.org/chapter/1044527/1
    Spoiler:

Surprised that the demon didn´t kill her on the spot, he is pettier than I thought. And if I understood correctly, Fern can cast spells faster than Frieren does, wich kinda balances the fact that she will never be as strong as her master.

    Volume 2 cover:
    Spoiler:

Really lovely colors on this one.

I wonder why Fern don't show her emotions even though she cares so much about others

If I remember correctly she was going to commit suicide back when the priest found her, so maybe she may have some emotional issues. On the other hand, one of the weakness of this series is that everyone is a little too much deadpan faced, it works well most of the time though.

Stark keeps growing on me, also it seems that this arc will be shorter than I thought.

Can't quite put my finger on how this manga feels so bland yet so well rounded at the same time. Now with Stark and Fern done I wonder if we're gonna see what Frieren is up to. I reckon this arc is will be done in like 2-3 chapters unless we're thrown for a loop of some sort.
    We all float down here!

A good recommandation, thanks for pointing it.

@Pennywise the bland part, as for me, is the art and design of characters. On that front it is so generic that I could open this manga and easily mistake it for a dozen others. The short-term story isn't much to go by either, travel-meet monster-slay mosnter-travel again. Character arcs, however, I find quite unique with the notion that Frieren must leave her companions to go forward alone in her journey and the bitterness that goes with it. I also like that being long-lived has made her numb to emotions and she has a hard time relating to others yet keeps trying in her own way, it's an interesting theme to explore and is done in a rather touching manner. Especially if compared to a bunch of stories with long-lived/immortal/revived protagonists where the premise is quickly handwaved in favor of flashy powerwanking. (UQ Holder is maybe the worst in that respect, Tomb Raider King comes close second)
