    Default My Writing

So, for the past few years I've been writing graphic novel scripts. I've only recently started seriously considering it as a career. But I've never been satisfied with my work. It always seems mediocre to me. Lately I've been getting some really nice feedback on a short script I've shared with a few people on tumblr. It's making me think maybe I'm not such a shitty writer. Not as bad as I thought anyway. Just wanted to share a bit about myself and what I'm about. Feel free to disregard all this nonsense if it doesn't interest you.
    Gonna give ya the D.!

Thank you for sharing. I cant give you any advice unfortunately but i hope your scripts get acknowledged and maybe turn into an anime someday (or whatever medium you want)

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. I might farm my scripts out to publishers, but I'd want to get an artist on board before that. A completed work is probably more likely to be taken seriously than just a script.

I recently(today) finished plotting a pirate adventure story set in an alternate 1720s on an alternate earth so I could play around with geography and historical pirates. It's fun because I used to be obsessed with pirates and I'm just recently getting back into it.

Rhapsody has become such a beautifully crafted story that it would excel in any medium, but your incredible skill with your medium continues to impress me. Your dialogue is perfect to the panel, each panel flows into the page, and every page leaves you metaphorically turning the next one. Your sound effects are unique and captivating, throughout reading your story I've excited to see what the next set for each panel will be! I'm trying not to sound similar to my first message, but everything I've said before applies directly! You are an incredible graphic novelist. The exposition you've added is wonderful, easily immersive, lovingly put together and never unnatural or hindering to the movement of the story – which, is also very lovely. I loved the new characters you've introduced (and killed! Gah!). They're all intriguing, dynamic, well-designed people. You have especially impressed me with each piece of background for everyone, I feel like I had been there. You blend action and tone seamlessly, and easily maintain fantastic humor. The dialogue between your characters showcases their rich individual relationships, especially between what has come to be the exciting and lovable main cast of heroes. Kestel introducing Gialom as an old flame absolutely floored me, so did Vello's entire character. I actually can't tell you how happy that made me to read. Walker approaching the elven women by calling them sexy ladies also floored me, but in the way that I died (and went to mega hell). There isn't a scene that I didn't love, even though some made me very sad (Gialom...). I'm looking back through to pick out a favorite scene, but honestly, they all flow together perfectly, it's hard to separate them into favorites because they're all great! Also, your humor is impeccable and there are so many funny moments I could list as my favorite scene. Talking with Kestel and deciding to form a team, the walk through the forest and finding a place to camp (some of my favorite panels are in the camping scene alone). Ghoroz carrying Irysa, and then Irysa providing an escape for her. Milo talking to Vello about worrying. Walker completely ignoring Vorbas's existence, saving Tundil, and the ensuing confrontation with Aulean. I thought act two was spectacular, and I'm glad that I got to read it! You have an amazing story, with wonderful design behind it. I'm continously impressed by your work. Also, I'm really sorry this is so late, I hope that it finds you well! :D

Someone sent that to me and honestly, it gives me life. I never ever not ever expected anyone to care about my writing, let alone praise it to such a high degree. I'm going to keep this for all the days I hate my work and feel like giving up.
    Gonna give ya the D.!
