Yeah I'm not getting disdain for We Go either. That's one of my favs, it was a great follow up to We Are. We Can sucked.

I'm also a big fan of We Go. Loved the song and the visuals as well.

We Go was excellent... for the reunion and maybe like the first half of Fishman Island. It definitely stuck around for far too long, though, and eventually that shot of Hody glaring ominously at the viewer just became a constant reminder of how utterly Toei botched the landing of that arc by seemingly refusing to accept that the New Fishman Pirates were never on Luffy's level and were specifically there to demonstrate how much stronger he and the other Straw Hats had gotten.

...Of course, for anyone watching the simulcast it was even worse, since Hands Up didn't get put on Crunchyroll until way later, thus extending what was already the most overused opening for another year.

But as time has gone on and I've gotten some distance from it's infuriating overuse, I can acknowledge that We Go was, indeed, excellent.

Kishidan's Zoku is one of my favorite songs so I was really dissapointed by We Can!.

Can’t wait to stop hearing “Super Power.” No, it isn’t the worst theme, but the repetition of the English words is annoying to me.

I've never understood this about One Piece openings. I watch with my girlfriend and always have to watch the opening ahead of time to see if it's going to spoil anything, and it always does in the worst way.

Most of the time, it's manga readers that spoil openings, by pointing out what is a spoiler and why.

It's not an One Piece exclusive thing. Part of the purpose of openings is to hype viewers up about upcoming events. As long as it's not a massive twist it's not too bad.

They'll never top opening 3 anyway.

I'm going to disagree there. The spoilers are just too blatant for this to be the case. Manga readers don't have to point out things like Luffy and Katakuri fighting in the mirror world when it's right in their face during the opening and the openings have a history of this.

Robin in opening 3 is very obvious too, isn't it?

I have to dock a point for continuing that stupid-ass "insert clips from the actual episode" thing they started with "Super Powers" once the Reverie began (unless they're hiding something but I can't imagine what other than maybe the Big Mom Pirates) but animation-wise that is porn. I can see Yong-ce Tu at the very top of the list, and Masami Mori, Ishizuka, Takashi Kojima, and Hiromi Ishigami in there too. Lots of fodder for sakugabooru in there.

    Song seems pretty standard.

It's 2 minutes long, not the usual 2:30 min.

That was probably one of the most captivating song openings I've ever seen. I was super pumped going into this.

Animation is a little too fast paced for my taste, otherwise thought it was great. Definitely a lot of spoilers, but never cared too much for that. Fight scene at the end is awesome. Would love to have seen this arc on TV as a kid.

Looking on the bright side, the clips are advanced enough that we may be due for a new opening by the time they become out of date.
