To be honest, something like this was to be expected about Wano. Luffy being crushed. But I didn't expect it to be that soon in the arc and that quick for Luffy. I kinda like what I saw there.

It would be even beter, if Luffy fails in his second attempt to beat kaido and needs three trys.

Luffy at this point is basically in league with everyone expect Yonkos and Admirals. But the last challenge is often the one that needs the most willpower and determination to overcome, so I think it's great that Oda makes Kaido so enormously difficult to overcome. Like Chrior so fabously stated, he's supposed to be the powerceiling of the whole series (with the only possible exception being End-of-story-Blackbeard).

You almost brought a tear to my eye, my fellow companion. I totally agree, I think we're still going to see Luffy lose a bit more during this arc. It's going to be one hell of an effort to take down the big boss this time. I'm very excited to see how it'll go down. And I'm also curious about the other calmities. We already know Jack is a loser who's going to be pwned by Sanji, but I wonder about the other 2, King and Queen. Their designs, their powers, who they will end up fighting against... We still have so much to see after the end of this first act!

Yeah,that moment when Luffy declared he is going to be PK and the next second Kaidou said "What King you wanna be?" was touchdown an epic moment... but i hope that Luffy won't powerup in these 2 weeks as it feels really really rushed if he can overcome Kaidou in just a 2 weeks worth of training. It felt a bit rushed with his CoO against Kata, but that is an experience-based improvement, but this is much more imo.

There's been a whole lot of buildup on Kaido being invincible in a 1v1. Its pretty clear to me that the focus of this arc will be a team fight with Luffy, Law, and Kid to mirror their team up on Sabaody.

Momo can still be part of the fight.
Idk about the animals, maybe Oda just took inspiration with the names but doesn't to follow that story accurately. I can't see Kidd not having a big role in the final fight. Especially after Oda saying he intended Kidd to become a major character when he created the supernova. Maybe he changed his plan but until proved wrong I'm gonna assume Kidd will have a big role.

There is also him cursing Kaido together with Luffy in the last chapter.

Momo has 2 other brothers we've never seen that also ate smiles that allow them to fly and Luffy Kid and Law all rides them like skateboards as theyy go to attack kaido

If fishmen and Minks can have haki, I don't see why any other sentient race couldn't have haki.

Fishmen and Minks although have physical characteristics of animals, they have a human-like brain/intellect.
I don't see a reason why they shouldn't have CoC.

But pure animals with animal intellect...I can't see them being born (since are born with it, they must have it when they were animals) with Conqueror Haki.
Because animals do not possess the same kind of willpower as humans do.
And if that was the case, how is it possible we never saw an animal possessing it?
No one among the Sea king we saw through the chapters? (if they were tamed by the CoC, then they obviously don't have it).
Or the animals were Luffy trained?

It would be too far stretched if Kaido was originally a dragon born with CoC. It would be much more fascinating if he doesn't have it.

Harry Potter dragons are just big lizards, but actual dragons of myth are usually fiendishly intelligent and can speak. Especially eastern dragons. Dragons aren't just normal animals.

That's one of the reasons why I still consider the possibility that Kaido doesn't even have a devil fruit. If I recall there are some eastern mythology dragons that can assume human form.

While his achievements so far don't look too good, fighting the cat and dog for 5 days straight is a testament of his strength. Him surviving Fugitora and Zunisha's attack is also no small feat.

I was clearly exaggertating about Sanji and Jack. I just wanted to mock Jack for a bit for being a mere hype tool among the Beast Pirates, like Sanji in the Straw Hats, or Burgess in the Blackbeards (which is another big reason why our lord and saviour should fight Sanji at the end, for the title of the "Biggest Jobber in OP"!) But of course Sanji will never beat the likes of Jack. I just hope he isn't stuck in a pathetic fight with Ginrummy or Speed... Oh god, why did I think of that...
