The Lighthouse, directed by Robert Eggers of The Witch fame, just dropped its first trailer.

And holy fucking shit, this looks so good!

And the negative reviews are all from old crusty white dudes.

Women and minorities all seem to be digging it.

Ya know. The trailer looked awful and dumb and I had zero interest in this. But after seeing the excerpts from the novelization I'm... kind of interested?

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is great.

    Spoiler:
The part of the movie, when Cliff going into the Spahn ranch was really creepy. The final 20 minutes of the movie pretty much top Inglourious Basterds as one of the most over the top things I ever seen.

Am I the only one who didn't like how Tarantino made Bruce Lee in his movie?

Human instead of a mythical figure?

I thought the Bruce Lee stuff was okay in the movie.

No I mean he had Bruce, saying he could destroy Ali easily, who Bruce lee revered and had said would beat him in a fight in real life

Or you know having him act like a general ass hat or pick fights with people which he didn't actually do in real life

And obviously I'm not the only one who shares this feeling as his daughter and friends have also complained

Your acting like he made him into some three dimensional character, which would have been absolutely great, he's obviously not perfect, no human being is, but all he did was make him look like the biggest A-Hole and all talk

Which I found weird because I know of Tarintino's love for Kung Fu movies

Well Bruce has been mystified into an untouchable perfect god, pretty much. Any interpretation that isn't that nowadays is going to seem off.

And the guy DID have a temper in his younger days.

The fact that he has him saying and doing stuff that's exactly the opposite of what he said and did in real life is what annoys me

That being said that actor did a perfect job acting as him, by which I mean he totally had is mannerisms and voice down

So yeah, Dora getting good reviews was a bit of a surprise.

But what's really baffling is that Angry Birds 2 is now sitting at 83%

If Michael Pena was still playing his Luis character from Ant-Man in that, I'd be totally into it.

There are dozens of Little Women productions out there, but I'm liking the look of this one a lot:

Fun fact: Part of that was filming in my town!
