Dr. Stone would be a great live action series. Lab Car looked great. Reactions and commentary to Ginro's near incompetence is too funny.

Nice Dr. Slump reference. There's gonna be a lot of angry parents of kids making poop smells at home.

Dr. Stone's Drag Race killed it again this week. Joker Kohaku is best Joker. Gin as a girl is my favorite.

Got around to watching the first two episodes of the anime. No complaints, loving it.

This girl they found along with the other statues; I wonder if she was from the bloodline of the person behind the stoning and rebelled, or if she was previously in the harem and knew too much.

    I think it's a man.

Also, I didn't comment last week, but Taiju breathing underwater by sucking in bubbles didn't make sense and wasn't needed. Taiju being invulnerable + having infinite stamina and being ridiculously strong is already established, no need to hype him up even more.

I find the anime...ok. My main complaint is that the music choices don't really add anything to what's happening onscreen- the big moments don't feel big enough and the emotional moments don't feel important enough. Everything else is pretty good though.

I suppose it could be, but the hair is covering their chest which made me consider otherwise.

The adaptation is very average, though it has been refreshing watching it all from the beginning and has reinforced my enjoyment of the series.

I might be wrong but I feel like the anime has put more focus on Senku from the beginning, which should help ease the transition with Taiju (thankfully) exiting for a bit. Could've used a bit tighter pacing getting through those initial arcs since I feel the series really picks up at the village.

Gen's voice in the anime is higher than I imagined. Still, things are moving along nicely. Senku arriving at the village is when I fell in love with Dr. Stone.

The manga chapter was great as always. The teamwork in this series is so much fun to watch.

Damnit Gin. Kinrou would be able to dodge that.

Kohaku really is the best, combining fighting prowess and quick wit. Also,
    Spoiler:
    that self-sacrifice. Damn.

Additionally, we finally got the reveal of the petrification weapon. I'm not too versed in science-y stuff, but isn't that like two mobius strips combined into what looks like the symbol for infinity? And it looks pretty alien or at least futuristic on top of that. There has to be a much larger version that was used for the planet wide petrification - I wonder if the islanders somehow copied said "original" device?

The story seems to be picking up in the manga, while the anime is still at the light hearted village village chapters. Still can't get enough of this at the moment, such good stuff!
    We all float down here!
