Some Democratic senator got herself in trouble for posting she hoped "Donald Trump would get assassinated" on Facebook.

Calls for her resignation have already gone out. Missouri lawmakers are looking for ways to expel her if she doesn't resign willingly.

It's time for republicans to put up or shut up. You really mean what you say? Prove it by impeaching his ass. Join with the democrats and stop worrying about losing your seats in the house in the near future. You people gambled on a deranged psychopath to change the status quo, and its blowing up in your faces.

Associated Press has updated their style guide and will no longer use the term "alt-right" except in quotes, and will always clarify (depending on context) that its basically a rebrandin euphamism for Nazi.

Trump said the exact thing about Hillary. Didn't force him to resign or drop out of the race or anything.

But yeah, she shouldn't have said that. Our politicians need to be better than Trump, not stoop to his level.

Too true. Hence, while I wouldn't cry if it happened, I don't want Trump to die. I just want him impeached and kicked out of office so he can go hide in shame.

Clinton wasn't a sitting President at the time of the remarks. I think it's an actual crime to make jokes about that regarding the President.

She was a public official. And Trump was premising his remark on the idea that she won. And it was still him suggesting on national tv "Hey, maybe someone with a gun can take care of her if she gets elected."

I really don't see any difference here.

Was she even that? Outside of her candidacy for President I don't recall her having an official role while she campaigned.

Kerry was Secretary of State at the time.

Though, really, it shouldn't have mattered what her position was since it was still calling for her to be killed if she was elected. The media was too cowardly to actually talk about that though.
    Complicating things since 2009.
