Hm. He doesn't really show up too often after this, right? We only get a line or two in between arcs every so often.

The only time Blackbeard makes an appearance with lines is
    Spoiler:
one line of dialogue in Opening 17 and that brief transponder snail conversation in Dressrosa

What? I can't believe this... Cole Brown was an awesome Teach and his voice got me to appreciate this charismatic character a whole lot more, and now he's gone. Well, all I can do now is hope his family can fight through this and that Funimation can get a new Teach before Dressrosa (or if they decide to re-record the flashbacks with Teach on Fishman Island).

    2016, what a year.

Actually he does have some in story lines post-timeskip when
    Spoiler:
He speaks with Burgess via transponder snail in Dressrosa.

Oh wow this is such a shame, he was really getting into the character and was knocking it out of the park i Impel Down and Marineford, looking forward to hearing his great voice as Blackbeard one last time in the next set. R.I.P

It's a real irony that he passed after playing the biggest role that he had in the series so far. R.I.P.

This is ridiculously sad.... like, oh wow....

He made an awesome Teach and it'll be difficult replacing him. At least FUNimation has time since Teach doesn't have any major lines up to current in the Anime, so they have ample time to find someone good while we wait for Oda to dust off Blackbeard.... but still...

My condolences obviously to his family and friends... he was only 60... I hate when awesome people die too soon...

I just heard about Cole Brown's passing. He was great as Blackbeard, especially just seeing his work recently in Marineford, and I really liked him as Saul too. He was on one of the recent commentaries too I believe; he talked about how he was really getting into the story of One Piece and had started following it. I was really excited to see what he was going to do in the role post-timeskip. Also read that he was a firefighter and paramedic. He was younger than I thought he was. Condolences to his family and those who knew him. R.I.P Cole...

Terrible to hear of Cole Brown's passing. I really enjoyed listening to him talk in one of the recent DVD commentaries. May he forever RIP.

If there's any silver lining to this, at least it appears as though he recorded
    Spoiler:
all of the pre-skip dialogue. Since Blackbeard doesn't have any lines for quite a long time, the voice change could be attributed simply to the passage of time in-show.

Not sure if everyone here is aware of this or not... But Fandango has already started selling tickets for One Piece Film Gold.

Here are the list of cities that have showings (so far).

    http://onepiecepodcast.com/2016/11/2...tes-locations/

Does anyone know if this is a good deal of theaters, or is it small compared to other limited releases? Would like to know this information because if it's small even compared to other limited releases.... then we know where OP stands here. :-/

Small. They're somehow not playing it in Austin, which gets all the movies. I'm pissed; praying this isn't the final schedule. I'm not driving three hours each way to see this.

It probably isn't. They've just been adding new locations to this page as Fandango has made it available over the past couple days.

Damn. I was afraid of that. Looks like I was right about this not having anywhere close the same amount of screens as the two DBZ movies got.

Looks like venues don't want to waste their time with a unpopular lisence. Meh.

Dragon Ball has had nearly 20 years for its United States fanbase to build up. One Piece has had a little over 10.

It is completely understandable that they would have different sized releases.
