Another great episode, so happy with this show.
And yeah Mark Beaks is pretty much to me a new version of John D. Rockerduck. Which is clever and great.

    Spoiler:
Darkwing intro was nearly perfect as it could be, down to Megavolt freaking out over seeing the lightbulbs being taken out and Darkwing commenting that his intro was too long. (Did anyone catch the S.H.U.S.H. reference on the billboard).

The rest of the episode didn't reach that height (it couldn't), and I'm a little disappointed by the fact DW was introduced as TV character, but I get why they did that. And it was a pretty good (if unoriginal, remember Armstrong) Launchpad episode. And Beaks hinted at a darker side of him in the end.

Still not used to Gyro being a jerk.

They're not going to bring in the old villain VAs to do ONE LINE each or blow the first three minutes of an episode on a random non sequitur that has no payoff.

This is setup for Launchpad being a fan, as he was at the start of Darkwing.

He's going to find out the actor is real, or the old show was actually filmed real exploits they made into a show as a cover, or something... and hijinks will ensure from there.

They were setting up with this very episode "Darkwing doesn't need lasers or super powers to be cool"... in the same episode they introduce Gizmoduck. They're laying groundwork, not throwing things away.

We also know they're going to drag in Talespin in some fashion (at least the air pirates) so...

I've seen a fair amount of complaints about Gyro being a self-absorbed jerk in this series but that's actually closer to how he originally was in the comics. He could be really snarky to people who questioned his inventions and didn't seem to care for Donald at all; his first long appearance had a scene where his reaction to the idea of the nephews getting eaten by a wolf he granted human intelligence was basically "Huh, didn't know that'd happen; I'll have to fix that". He didn't remotely offer to help them.
    Complicating things since 2009.

Tonight's new episode of Ducktales was really good.

    Spoiler:
Glomgold continues to be a major highlight for the series to me. Launchpad and Huey's commentary about the coin toss and Glomgold's antics at the beginning of the golf match had me laughing for a few minutes. Scrooge and Dewey had some good character development in the episode as well. The kelpies were another highlight for the episodes whenever they appeared.

Personally, I think the recipe's a bit too rich for my taste.

    Great new episode of Ducktales.

    Spoiler:
I like the revealed of the ghost in the opening is Duckworth. I hope we get to see more of Duckworth and Mrs. Beakley being rivals. The ways how Duckworth defeated Ma Beagle, Golmgold, and Mark Beaks was pretty funny. Also Golmgold's plans were also funny as well.

    Spoiler:

Here's the Ducktales Disney Channel bumper that aired between shows. The Donald one is amazing, since it brings back the classic rivalry of Mickey and Donald.

    Great new episode of Ducktales.

    Spoiler:
Magica continues to be a great villian. I like that we are heading into Magica trying to get Scrooge's number 1 dime. Mrs. Beakley, Launchpad, and Golmgold had some of the most funniest moments in the episode. Plus the ending with after the defeated of the shark monster with Scrooge's reaction of the Beagle Boys and Golmgold taking his money was pretty funny as well.

I swear, even in episodes where he's only around for like a minute, Glomgold still manages to steal the show. That guy is just consistently hilarious.

Agreed. Jaw$ was great, but those little bits of Glomgold just make it oh so much better. Launchpad defaulting to crashing stuff to solve situations is also a favorote running gag.
