Sounds like she wants to give Betsy Devos a run for her money.

Monthly reminder that Venezuela is still very very very destroyed. The blackouts have become weekly everywhere, random bouts of "now you can't work", between "my life is at risk because my power intensive treatments can't be done" scalating to "now all my perisheables are rotten", the scale not being on worst thing, but the level of the power outage.

    Things keep getting worse.

How much time left for this to happen?

The opposition is waiting for the military to do the moral thing and turn, that is the path of least bloodshet, as any other will involve either civil war or foreign intervention.

Thing is that Chavez already prepared for this move, and the high ranking soldiers are mostly composed of loyal drug lords, the lone turners have been incarcerated and sold out ASAP, middle rank is plagued with cuban agents who would smell any organized effort, and themselves can't turn because THEIR families are in the island, and the low ranks are just as dependent on the goverment for food and medicine as the rest of venezuelan people.

All scenarios are dire, when the best factible one is "wait for them to develop a conciense", then "make a deal and sell even MORE of our future to china for them to support democracy", then "the US military comes and """""fixes""""" things", and then "they become a normal working dictatorship with proper food and services distribution", you know you are screwed.

I can't find the analisys of the True Dire, but factible scenarios.

But there is this metaphor that I like, you don't know how many blows it takes for a stone to start cracking, but once it does you know that is near, you must keep on hiting it until it cracks, and then until it breaks. That's the tactic that they have been using against us.

    A little something light:

"Garfield" phones have littered France's coast for 30 years; mystery solved

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/garfiel...eaches-france/

For more than 30 years bright orange "Garfield" phones have been washing up on the French coast to the bemusement of local beach cleaners, who have finally cracked the mystery behind them. Locals had long suspected a lost shipping container was to blame for the novelty landline phones, modelled on the prickly feline cartoon character, that have plagued the northern Finistere beaches for decades.

"Our association has existed for 18 years and in that time we have found pieces of Garfield telephones almost each time we clean," said Claire Simonin, the head of local beach cleaning group Ar Viltansou in Brittany.

But it wasn't until a local resident revealed that he had discovered the container after a storm in the 1980s that they were finally able to locate it -- wedged in a partially submerged cave only accessible at low tide.

"He told us where it was... it was very, very dangerous," Simonin told AFP after an expedition to track it down.

"We found this incredible fissure that is 100 feet deep and at the very bottom, there were the remains of a container."

"Under the boulders in front of the entrance, we found 23 complete handsets with electronics and wires. They were everywhere," she added.

But the mystery, first reported by the France Info public broadcaster, is not*fully solved.

"We have no idea what happened at the time: we do not know where it came from, what boat," said Fabien Boileau, director of the Iroise Marine Nature Park in Finistere. "And we don't know if several containers fell into the water, or only one."

Thing is that it was one of his generals, with blood as red with blood as his. Too soon to tell if this is a good thing.
