Its how in the popular western-european/north american racist sub-conscious, Greeks are white and Turks are not.
How even Albanians have hordes of internet racists trying to deny them whiteness.
Albanians? Aren't they supposed to be some super primitive (not in a bad sense at all) people who lives in those mountains since time immemorial, like the Basques in Spain/France? That's why they speak a language unrelated to any other we know of, right? But they're treated as turkish spin offs because they're mostly muslims?

Albanian is Indo-European, just an isolate of it (like Greek). So they're nowhere near the level of the Basques, but yeah the linguistic isolation suggests a real old school "been around here for a long time" language.
As for the rest, racists are universally stupid. And the more "scientific" and "historical" they try to be, the more this ends up being proven.

In a spot of good news for a change, "El Chapo" Guzman was extradited to the United States today.

Has anyone had any problems with PETA in their countries before? There is a huge protest going on in my place (which I participated too) against the ban of a traditional game. There are multiple levels of problems which caused such a protest but just curious about your take on PETA on a whole and how it has affected your country

Pretty sure PETA is a problem everywhere. Obviously being for the welfare of animals is a good thing but PETA go way too far a lot of the time and I think a lot of people even consider them a terrorist group.

I remember when they thought it was worth attacking the Pokémon franchise, to the point of making a short parody flash game about it.
Then they backed off after overwhelming ridicule about it.

The shit they do in the name of animal cruelty protection is seriously pissing people off here. The milk and meat lobbyists have made sure PETA raises its concerns on nonsensical stuff advising for bans rather than regulations. It's a pity such organizations cause all foreign funded NGO's to lose their respect out here

You could reach 20 million pretty quickly if you raise the number of refugees you're taking in.

PETA isn't big in my country, thankfully. PAWS has more of a presence in my country.
But I have heard of it and have extremely low opinion of it.
I remember watching a commercial where a woman was brutally beaten to show animal cruelty, an advertisement where a *dead naked woman was wrapped in plastic wrapping as an analog for buying meat in grocery store(???) and a live campaign where a naked pregnant woman was locked up in a cage in winter to compare her to a pregnant pig. PETA seem to hate women or something as they use female models almost all the time to show animal cruelty...
It's absolutely disgusting and doesn't get the message across at all.

The most ironic thing about PETA is that they practice killing strays when there is too many in the shelter. They don't deny it and say it's for the animal sake as the animals are too mentally broken to ever find a loving home.
The root cause of the stray problem is people not spaying/neutering their pets. PETA do talk about it but they don't seem to actively encouraged people to do it. They could use their funds to offer these type of services for free.
But I guess they rather spend their funds on doing publicity stunts.

PETA probably considers spaying/neutering abuse or something considering the other things they believe.
