But if it's the toilet that is haunted, then the ghost went with it.

The article said an artist had bottled the ghost. That is how the thief made off with the ghost and did not take the toilet.

You could keep up a whole theme of having avatars of recently dead asshole dictators.
I mean you missed out on Kim Jong Il, but nows the chance to get that shit going.
Maybe you'll pick up Assad in a year or so.

No idea. Partitioned maybe? Bosnia style? With an Alawite state around the coast and mountains, Kurdish one in northeast, Sunni Arab one for most of the rest?
Either way Assad is no longer a man who can rule any country aside from an Alawite state. Like just pragmatically speaking it is impossible for him to rule Syria.

They're already not united, the SDF (US backed, Kurdish affiliated) has fought a bit with the FSA (Turkish backed).
The FSA even has different factions. The groups in the north around Aleppo are heavily affiliated with the Al Nusra Front, whereas the group in the south near the Jordanian border is more the secular groups.

But the prospect of people sitting down and going through negotiations is a joke until Assad is gone. Partly because the man who instigated sectarian bloodshed and near genocidal conditions on some fronts cannot seriously be part of such talks.
And also because he has like 500 time so far been proven to refuse such things, either not taking them seriously and breaking deals immediately, or just the outright refusal to give an inch.
There are pockets of Assad troops in cities as far away as Qamishli that don't really do anything. But they're kept there because Assad is obsessed with the illusion of government control throughout the country. Same true of Hasakah, where he even had them attack the Kurds....which completely backfired and he had to negotiate a couple toothless police outposts to keep the illusion and withdraw all the actual troops.

Even more complicated since Turkey entered the war alongside rebel forces in between two Kurdish/different rebel zones, above a pocket of ISIS territory almost cut off from the rest, which is above a government encirclement of rebel territory in the middle of Aleppo, which is surrounded mostly by rebels in the west and south.

Perhaps having an avatar of some noble democratic leaders such as Tony Blair, Bush JR, Bush sr, Nixon, Reagan, Charles De Gaulle would soothe your heart instead?

And RT is an interesting propaganda website to post.

Awesome, I sniffed out a Useful Idiot! I mean putting a Gaddafi avatar on after his dead ass almost killed a forums member was kind of a dead give away? But still you really snuck by quietly somehow.
So congrats on your official Useful Idiot status. The kit comes with a Whataboutism starter pack (includes the "Hanging Negros","Red Indians", and "Imperialism" cards), free subscriptions to one of the following Russian propaganda websites (RT, Sputnik, or Center for Research for Globalization), and an off switch for your brain whenever anything regarding international relations comes up.

As for this, your outing ceremony? It's particularly great due to some sort of attempted "Hah, what about the west??", when the dead piece of shit in question (Islam Karimov) was a western ally who had given the Russians cold shoulder recently.
Remember, as a Useful Idiot you are supposed to condemn him now. The full extent of his human rights abuses and iron grip on power are yours to cast fire upon. If this is causing cognitive dissonance with your apparent idolization of the more or less similar Muammar Gaddafi? Well that's what the off switch for your brain is for.
But perhaps that switch has been off a good long while and this won't be a necessary step.
