You really can't comprehend this can you.

That knowing that you might benefit from a tragedy in no way inspires feelings of "Hell yeah!" There is no conflict of emotion for them you asshole. For you maybe because you're sitting very far away not involved in any of this but I guarantee most of them are not having some duality crisis about over a hundred dead people.

I can't believe the death tolls is so high, RIP to the dead and I hope that the people directly affected by the attack who are still alive are able to recover.
This isn't looking good for Muslim-European relationships, but I'll hope for the best.

Hey Taggerung. Shut up with your awkward and badly timed crucification revenge fantasy or whatever this extremely transparent and strained thing your doing is.
Nobody else gives a shit about what I said. I don't even think you do. Like honestly.

It's especially cute that you're trying to speak on behalf of the Kurds.
NO, NO MAN. PEOPLE IN AN ACTIVE WAR ZONE WHERE MORE PEOPLE THAN THAT DIE EVERY DAY COMPLETE WITH GENOCIDE ARE NOT COOL WITH DARK OBSERVATIONS OF STRANGE EMOTIONAL TURMOIL AND GRIM SERENDIPITY.

I don't give a shit if anyone else cares about what you typed. I have problem with it.

And I also don't give a shit about this weak ass distraction of a defense.

It was a stupid thing to say. It's not a dark observation of strange and emotional bullshit etc, even if you type it in caps or bold it or up the font size. I don't really care. Write an essay defending your statement. Drop some khemer rogue shit in.

I'll be right here telling you how asinine you're being every step of the way.

Thanks everybody for all kinds words and thoughts.
It's been an horrible, horrible night, and won't be over until I know where are all my people, but all this kindess, and all the solidarity I witnessed during chaos makes all that nightmare somewhat... Easier to live throught.

    Thanks

I woke up an hour ago with these news slapped in my face. Spend the time reading up on what exactly happened and I'm in total shock and shed a few tears.
I read about the concert venue that the 4 attackers shot for 10-15mins straight and had enough time to reload their weapons 3times and that it ended in piles and piles of dead bodies on the ground. I can only imagine the terror, panic and angst you'd feel being stuck in such a situation. This all is so unreal and I'm sitting here, just wondering what I can do. Like right now,I wish I was living in Paris, being a nurse or doctor and just be able to go to the hospitals and help. Alas I'm stuck here, scared of the right parties and the hate against refugees that will pile up after this while THIS is exactly what the refugees are trying to run from.
If the refugees situation was already handled badly here, it will now be total chaos. All I can do is bring my collected old but still good clothes and everything else like dishes to my school where people are bringing it to where it's needed.

    This really hurts.

You know the dumbest thing about this is you chose the most awkward fake outrage angle you could.
Here let me try to attack me better than you.

The right angle would have been "How dare you make this light remark when people are grieving and dead! Think of the seriousness of the situation!"

Instead you're like...what are you doing? Defending the honor of random Kurdish guy thinking something hypothetically?
That's possibly the worst choice you could have made. This is like sifting through the utensil drawer for a weapon and coming up with a plastic spoon.

I know how you feel, there isn't much I can do here from my computer in California except pray for the safety and assistance to all the injured & grieving civilians affected by this national tragedy.

It's not fake outrage. I really do think you're an asshole and that that remark was dumb. That's like the third time I've had to basically say that. I like how can read a comment and completely understand the critic of why it's such a stupid thing to say.

You clearly get that because you state it here.

Instead of shutting the fuck up though you prattle on about the khemer rogue, I'm assuming to show that you have a great understanding of the geopolitical significance of what has occurred. As if that's better than just shutting the fuck up.

Then you prattle on about how this is my seeking revenge and it's cool to say what you did because no one else has a problem with it Tag, as if that's better than shutting the fuck up.

Now you've shown that you clearly understand the sentiment of my initial statement but because it's stated from the perspective of the Kurds it has no meaning? Or it's meaning is not worded correctly? Again, as if that's better than just shutting the fuck up.

We can do this all night if you want because you clearly know you're being an ass. It's not a light remark, it was a stupid thing to say. Like I said in my first post.

No one is going Hell Yeah! tonight. You can save your oh so edgy brand of commentary for a latter day. I don't come here to read it. You can take the night off. You can shut the fuck up unless you actually have something to add.

    140 victims, that's fucking insane.

I was watching the match (France v. Germany) when stuff started blowing up behind the stadium. It was so loud that even the players heard it ; walls shook, and windows broke too. Quite quickly, people started evacuating. Some others were shouting, whistling for the match to stop.
I switched on BFM TV / iTélé, basically the French equivalent for the CNN.
Started off with 15 victims, and then it went up as hours flew... From 22:30 to about 23:30, so for an hour, attacks were reported on several places in the capital. The Bataclan, where people were held hostages (and the majority died...), a Vietnamese restaurant, and various streets in Paris (mostly 10/11 "arrondissements") .
Witnesses that managed to escape from there were traumatized ("It was hell..." "A nightmare" "I can't take this anymore")

The people in the stadium were asked to regroup on the field. You could see that all of them were frightened.
Military forces were deployed in the Bataclan, but they weren't able to stop the inevitable.
Our president pronounced a speech saying that frontiers would be now closed, and that public places (such as gymnasiums, stadiums, theaters, etc.) , should now be closed on the entire territory. A great initiative indeed, though the second point was merely respected outside the capital's region (Île de France).

So yeah, I followed the entire thing on TV, from the start to 1 am, when things started calming down.
2015 was a horrible year ; first, the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January, and now this... I can say for sure that things are going to be worst as time goes on, but we need to find solutions ; quickly.

Thank you, foreigners, for all your support. It was nice reading so heartwarming tweets this morning, so beautiful pictures from all around the world.
A sincere thank you, from France.

I don't understand why France is getting so much focus insofar as Europe goes in terms of attacks.
You can also almost count that near miss on the Dutch train that was headed for France.

It's like they've decided you're the most quintessential example of Europe and went with it.
Meanwhile nothing happens in the UK, Germany, Italy etc *knock on wood*.

I was thinking about that too. I think it's because Paris is only rivaled by Rome in terms of Western culture icons and Italy isn't as central to the EU or Western world anymore. France is central both geographically and historically, plus it has that legacy of post-WWI imperialism in the Middle East. ISIS is trying to strike at the heart of European culture in the same way that Al Qaeda did with New York in 9/11.

France is the most racist Western European country and has the largest muslim population.

My (possibly completely off) understanding is that France has a larger Middle Eastern population and thus has greater anti-immigrant sentiment compared to other European countries, making it a more inviting target for this type of terrorism.

Anyway, I spent yesterday hanging out with a friend, so coming back home to see this news was not fun. I guess the silver lining is that the casualty figure isn't as high as initially reported, but it's still a horrific tragedy all the same. Stay safe and strong, French APers.

+ France is the head of the EU alongside with Germany and they´re both the countries calling the shots about the refugee crisis.

I spent some part of last night getting the live updates, it was shocking enough then and upon waking up it felt so much more horrifying.
Makes us realise how vulnerable we all are.
Sincere condolences to everyone who lost someone dear to them and wish the deceased to rest in peace. And I hope survivors will be able to recover and become stronger.
I don't wanna imagine what would last night be like for all French people, hang in there French AP members~
    ....
    And that statement by IS..
