Here this is the first time Oda is showing a different perspective of the Grand Line. Every other time it's mentioned in East Blue it's as this horrifying place where pirates die.
Oda then introduces the idea for the first time that for brave people like Zeff and Luffy, instead of horror it's a chance at great adventures. The paradise of someone like Luffy.

Later on, way later on. We are told that the informal name of the first half of the Grand Line is "Paradise". Why? Because in comparison to the New World it's so much less dangerous, that's the explanation given. It's a nickname based on how horrible the New World is. So it's a completely different use of the term here. It's hyping up New World as even crazier.

    This isn't foreshadowing.
I agree about what the scene is trying to convey but isn't it possible that it's both what you said AND foreshadowing? It's not too much of a stretch to think that Oda had already planned to make a distinction between the 2 halves of the grand line given what else he has planned and was just also making a nod to the nickname the veterans gave to the first half.

there's a differentation of sections. the paradise shit is in the section about links between points (as for morgan's chin or rayleigh's prevois apparition in flashback), while the sabo shit is hinted in a section which only repeat already-known fact about people, as for who are the yonkous, the supernovas etc. and however sabo is claimed dead 'cause they can't spoil such a thing before it's claimed in the manga =.="
    Prediction.

I like to believe that this is something more important, when you think about what they can do it is entirely possible for them to be some sort of secret group, who carry World Government mission.

Doflamingo can control a person with his strings.
    Bluno can appear anywhere.
    Mihawk...

Maybe it is a agilely and lovingly crafted gift from a wonderful ex-girlfriend : Hina
If we look at all of them, Hina can really have bean with all of them since thay are all in some way or another are related to the Navy / WG.

    Spoiler:
    {if i'm guessing this correctly I'm going to cosplay as Hina and possibly upload a picture so yeah...}

it hasnt happened yet but i think the first pannel is foreshadowing for the reason kuma agreed to become a human weapon and possibly for the reason sabo wasnt at the marineford war

nope everybody thought robin was thinking of alabasta but i think maybe robins making a connection between violet working for doflamingo to save her father and kuma sacrificing himself to save a friend/ally that was captured by the world government

... I'm not going to pretend I understood that.
Robin was just saying she wouldn't forgive Doflamingo after the flashback.

Also, that's the second panel, not the first.

Maybe OP in the country he's from comes with its pages mirrored, as it used to happen in the US as well in the 90s. And maybe he just took the first online version of the page he wanted us to have a look at without checking it out.

I was just re-reading Arlong's arc and I think I found something lol. Can't actually put a pic here in the office (or open some links but here is one) - chapter 94, page 16 on this.

    http://www.mangabird.com/one-piece-94?page=15

Obviously people know that this is the foreshadowing for Brook (Luffy wanting a musician in the crew), but Usopp talking about Zoro's wounds needs 2 years to fully heal, can it be a foreshadowing of the timeskip? heh, sorry if it's mentioned earlier or whatever.

edit: this comes into thinking that Zoro's wound from Mihawk did not fully heal until Shabondy Arc.
